    That word was for me. I am a pastor and ever since I came to this church I found that there is a woman here that encompasses all that you said ( influential etc etc) and I have been trying to be the kindest sweetest pastor I can be but with everything she finds fault and drags the rest of the congregation along with her, those that are swayed easily. Please help me pray for me and her. Thanks.

    Thank you Neil in regards to your 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit! My Bible study has been studying this and your videos have been most helpful🙏 I was just explaining that there was a person that would come and just stand up and start speaking in tongues in the middle of my pastor’s sermon. I could not really explain why this happened to the others but I did say it was very disruptive. The timing was off. That was a perfect way to explain it because it did make everyone feel uncomfortable as we were gathered together. There is a definite order! Thank you. I love this explanation 🙌

      I had heard of an instance where during a charismatic service a very popular member of the church started speaking the Arabic language and someone visiting the church understood him perfectly.. The tongue speaking man was speaking satanic blasphemies and horrible things. No one in the church knew except the new christian man visiting the church for the first time. He addressed it afterwards with the pastor. The enemy is working!

    Interesting thank you for teaching this. My husband and I visited a church in our small town earlier this year that we had never been to before and it was the first time either of us witnessed someone speaking it tongues. It was the pastor of this church. During his sermon a woman began having what she claims was a seizure and freaked a few people out. It turned out this woman had done this the past few Sundays as well. The womans friend spoke out and said Pastor she needs prayer, and he said out loud for everyone to hear that he believed this was a demon operating within her to cause disorder in his church. He prayed over her quickly and then told the women surrounding this person to continue praying as he continued his sermon. It was the strangest thing I have ever witnessed but it does make more sense now why the pastor said what he did and why he kept going. My husband isn't saved yet, but he does believe, but he doesn't go with me to church very often. This last visit made him very uncomfortable and he wanted to rush out of there. He has not wanted to go to another church with me since then.

      You see - this is what now a day so call Christians which are not a real Christians - make unbeliever want to just ran away from Christianity as far as they could -- I am very sure - it is a demon that bother that lady-- so call speaking in tongue these days now- make unbelievers want to just quit bothering church - these are not biblical at all- These are just Devil pretending to be an angle of Light -

    A translation is an interpretation written or typed in a document. The language is changed to the language that you understand . An interpretation is spoken to the language you understand. So interpreting a prayer language or another language, it's still called an interpretation not a translation. Very informative video.

      I had an elder of the church pray with me to receive the gift of speaking in tongues. At first, I could literally only speak a few syllables. I came home and kept at it. Then, the Holy Spirit took over. Just step out in faith. I thought at first this sounds a little crazy, then I kept pressing in and it happen. You're overthinking it, like I did.

    Something is off… I’m not understanding why operating in the gift of prophecy is not actually prophecy…. Is there a language misunderstanding somewhere?
    Why is future telling by prophets called prophecy in all other places but when it comes to gifts it doesn’t actually mean future telling.

    • @NealReyesMinistries
      @NealReyesMinistries  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Romans116 thank you for your question. Please watch these videos as they will describe each gift and provide the answer to your question. The Apostle Paul tells that the gift of prophecy is actually a gift of comfort, edification (building others up), and edification (lifting others up). The word of knowledge is revelation about a past or present event, and a word of wisdom is revelation about a future event that has not occurred yet (this is the primary gift used during prophetic words). Prophetic words and the gift or prophecy are two separate things.

    So, as Christians ,we shouldn't pray in tongues together without interpretation?

    • @deborahcorona9124
      @deborahcorona9124 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're in the body of Christ and everybody's praying and you hear people speaking in tongues that's their prayer language. When someone has a word for interpretation it always seems to be louder and more pronounced and that's when we're supposed to reverence God and be quiet then we wait for the interpretation!

    • @deborahcorona9124
      @deborahcorona9124 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Even in my own prayer life I will be praying in tongues and all the sudden my tongues become more bold and pronounced and louder and then when it stops I know to be quiet and wait and then I get the interpretation! I hope that helps you from my personal experiences

    • @joshgellock
      @joshgellock 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the situation. If you're worshipping in tongues during a gathering of believers when the singing is happening - no one is going to hear you over the music if you quietly talk to God. There's no interruption so no interpretation is needed. However, if you're all praying together, taking turns, and you decide to pray in a tongue and others can hear, I would expect an interpretation, so all can be built up and say amen. You need to interpret, or someone else does. That's Paul's instruction in 1 Corinthians 14:26.

    Thank you for this. It's happening in my church now. I'm not a pastor. I am a Sunday school teacher but I feel in my spirit something is not right. We have a woman who fell on the floor and stayed for a long time. They eventually picked her up. At the end of service she came to me and complained she had a word but the church stopped the spirit. I directed her to the deacons or the pastor by way of order. My spirit is still uneasy.

    • @joshgellock
      @joshgellock 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @emma this is not something that comes from God. Where it comes from can be debated, but no one can argue from Scripture that being "slain in the Spirit" is from the Spirit.
      Barry, I too have been to churches like this and it is unsettling. It's inappropriate and shouldn't be happening. I've even had unsaved people with me who wouldn't come back to church because of this weird stuff that happens. However, God can still do things in their lives and bring them to faith. Believers need to be discerning and always go back to the Text. "Hold fast to what is true".

    I wanted to share this with everybody when you get an interpretation, you have to act in faith and speak out. The whole interpretation is not downloaded all at once into your brain. You will get one or two sentences first and whenever you speak those the rest will just keep rolling God will give you a download of words as you're speaking! Then when the download of words stop coming into your mind you know the word is over and then God's people can Praise Him!

      @ThienPowChong 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      gifted to speak in tongue, not God speak through you. but speak in tongue to God.
      the "experience/feel" during speak in tongue is that you are still conscious, you know you can see, can hear, can think, but your mouth simply on "autodrive" mode... the one who speak in tongue would not know the language, there must be another one to interpret it if speak in a Church... if no one is gifted to interpret in the Church, it is adviced to be quiet. speak in tongue is not a "power", it simply a God's gift to let you "experience" the spiritual mode because you can feel the different of your own "conscious mind" and the "holy spirit" that drive your mouth, so that your faith in Him is more solid and closer.

    For you to say that an interpretation is not a translation is erroneous. I know people that translated verbatim what the person who was speaking in tongues said. We have to be careful in what we think is the ''ultimate'' truth based on what we've been told, experienced or taught. God is not limited by what we understand (He doesn't go against His Word) to show His Grace and awesome power.

    • @joshgellock
      @joshgellock 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not erroneous. I went to a Spanish-speaking church when I first got saved. I had an interpreter share the sermons with me. Sometimes it was word for word (translated), other times it wasn't, and simply interpreted. There's no error there.

    Paul emphatically. explicitly, directly, and categorically states that he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. The idea that the interpretation of a tongue is a message to anyone or anybody in the congregation or the whole congregation completely disregards 1st Corinthians 14:2...Brother, you should not be teaching.

    • @joshgellock

    This is so foolish -- and so confusing of what he is talking about - how do ppl read- the whole Bible -- over and over and still didn’t understand the simplest thing. The other tongue talked about in 1 Corinthians and Acts are an actual language-- - is this pastor is talking about this modern time so call speaking in tongue that is nonsense- ? He need to consider Other religious’s practice of similarities of speaking in nonsense. These day’s nonsense so call speaking in tongue- prayer language- does not edified the church at all of it does not bring a sign to unbeliever at all- instead they think Christians are crazy-- sure this nonsense of speaking blablabla is not from the Holy Spirit at all.

    • @masonsmarkstoneveneercorp120
      @masonsmarkstoneveneercorp120 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am torn on the issue of Tongues personally. I have very suspicions about it. It can be so easy to use for self edification and what bothers me most about churches were tongues are strongly encouraged is that it becomes a sign of salvation. It becomes such that those who do not speak in thoughts are considered of a lower spiritual caliber, they are often heavily pressured into it and it's very easy to fake it. It can look foolish to unbelievers as well. I know several young adults who want nothing to do with Christianity today over what they perceived as legalistic spiritual abuse from "Christians" as kids pushing without showing Christ's love.
      I know that the gift is real but I am very concerned some have perverted it in today's charismatic churches. I would caution Believers to be very careful in these dark times to be discerning of the Spirits in regards to tongues.

      Read Acts and look specifically at what the Apostle Paul said about it. I speak in tongues. I call it a prayer language. Satan wants to confuse people, but it's really simple. It's the Holy Spirit interceding on my behalf when I don't know how to pray. I do this alone with God. I'm not too comfortable doing it at church because there is no interpretation to help other's. I just prayed for the gift of interpretation. God willing, I will receive it. I use to think the same as you.

    • @joshgellock
      @joshgellock 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@emma-my8bn the only I would correct here is that is it our spirit that prays when we pray in tongues, not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us this gift, but we magnify God and give thanks in tongues with our spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:14.
