- This is my new trailer video for the channel. No need to watch if you are a regular viewer.
Just a note about ads on these videos. I normally put an ad at the beginning of my videos, and sometimes at the end as well. This is essential to generate some funds for the channel and my educational projects. However, I never put ads in the body of the video, no matter how long it is. This means that once you have started to watch the video, you can watch the whole thing without any interuptions.
As I've said before John, I have had a very similar professional and academic career to you. The difference between us is that you have had the fortitude, determination and generosity of spirit to go further by sharing your expertise and wisdom. This has become more evident during the pandemic. Thank you for helping us to be better informed. We owe you a great debt of gratitude 🙏.

I've looked at numbers and compared to experiences within my own family and community. I've heard that kind of thing and it has no credibility with me at all.

I've directly spoken with some of the most senior enbalmers in the UK , and they all call this out for what it is, utter bollocks. The repeated follow the evid3nce statement is in total opposition to the facts, the facts being that there is absolutely no analysis of these mysterious blockages, none whatsoever.
I only just started watching Dr Campbell's videos 6-7 years old, basic anatomy etc and they are excellent.

I am a big fan of evidence. If I had a Facebook page, one of my top "likes" would be "evidence". The problem these days is that conclusions are being drawn from ANY evidence and people are data dredging for any evidence for a particular theory. Common sense is also no longer allowed: do we need a peer reviewed paper to tell us that getting regular exercise is better for us than being sat on our arses? The Bradford Hill criteria is long forgotten. "Evidence based policy" can be literally junk and referred to as "the science" when it is more "the opinion".
@@jamescaley9942 Interesting comments James and I understand your sentiments. However, there are many circumstances when scientific method is necessary. Also worth noting that the Bradford Hill criteria has, for some time been considered outdated.

@@jazzcatt Betamax was a pretty good format for amateur shooting and editing. Not as robust as 3/4”, but more robust than VHS. You’d still have to copy your finished product onto VHS if you wanted anyone to see it, however.

Dr. John brought me a smidgen of calm the last week of January 2020. I'd been writing to WHO, CDC, and NIAID and it seemed like no one else cared. Something so obvious was coming straight at humanity without anyone taking the proper precautions to stop it. It felt wonderful to know there was someone else who took it seriously (still does). Thank you Dr. John for being such a lucid person of science - we need more.. 🍃

Hey come on now. I’m only 35. I know what VHS tapes are 😂. You know how they ask you, “Living or dead, who would you want to spend a day with?” Me? Dr John Campbell. Just a brilliant man with a massive heart. I’m completely squeamish about medicine, and I gain massive amount of information from this channel. I honestly look forward to the sound of your voice each day. And I truly appreciate your empathy for the people of the world. It’s a disheartening time right now, with so many people saying that a few deaths aren’t worth people being forced to stay home. To see someone who truly cares about the fate of ALL people, not just the rich and powerful, is hopeful. The entire pandemic is tragic, every aspect of it, and I hear way too many callous responses these days.
Videos were still the main way of watching things until about 15 years ago, so anyone over 25 ought to remember using them.

@@ajs41 ...well, yeah, it might only have been about 15 years ago, but such is the nature of technology advancing so swiftly nowadays it seems light years away that video cassettes were the common form. Actually, I still have a pile of vc's, but I suspect many people have now transposed them to cd's (if not throwing them away, instead).
I appreciate the reminder of the purpose of your channel. I never got the impression you were giving personal medical advice - just that you were helping compile, explain, and dissemination up-to-date information from a variety of sources. You have also been quite transparent where your information comes from and gives the viewer the opportunity to review the sources you use and think for ourselves.
As a science educator- I have learned so much from your channel in both content and teaching technique. Thanks a bunch and be well!

Vitamin D works, providing you have a deficiency, it will always be worth a top up.
I used to spend the entire winter with a chronic colds, but not for the last few years.
Moving to a cold tourist resort ruined every winter for me, especially 2020, still recovering. Had more to do with the cold weather and constant stream of international tourists in Feb and early March as already taking a supplement. I'm quite keen to move to a region which doesn't do tourism which means finding somewhere ugly to live. I dread the return of tourism which is a risky thing to say in a country that is far too dependant on it.

I subscribed to Dr. Campbell's channel back in 2019 because he had one of the best videos clearly explaining EKG strip interpretation. Okay, ECG... As a result, I had a ringside seat to the entire pandemic. His coverage was ideal. Spot on truth as it was being revealed. Exactly what was needed, when we needed it.
