My mother passed away 2 days after Renee passed away. I've been a huge Céline since 1989. Watching her strength while grieving was helpful to me. She will always be my Queen!
Celine Dion's performance of "All By Myself" during the 1997 Grammy's is perfection. ❤ And of course Pink's "Glitter in the Air" during the 2010 Grammy's.
They missed Melissa Etheridge's performance at the Grammys where she did a Janis Joplin tribute. She was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer at that time yet still gave her all during that performance.
Celine Dion is literally the GREATEST and most consistent LIVE vocal performer of all time. That woman is from another planet as far as range, power, control, emotion, lung capacity, and sheer showmanship! Every time she takes to a stage to sing, she dazzles. One of the greatest of all time.
Surprised Aretha Franklin's Nessum Dorma at the 1998 Grammys wasn't on this list. Especially that Aretha only knew she was gonna be filling in for Pavarotti just moments before she got on stage too
Fun fact: Celine Dion didn’t like ‘’My heart will go on’ song when they asked her to record it…the rendition we hear on the radio is the first take of the song she sang-she was such a professional that she nailed it on the first fake!!
@@AriaArahNope she didn't record it again. You can look at her interview about the song. I know it sound different in her LTAL album but she said they just built an orchestra around it
Big miss that Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond's performance of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" at the 22nd Grammy Awards wasn't an "Honorable Mention" at the very least. Sure, it was a very simple, even understated, performance by two absolute masters of the art but the last moments of the song where Barbra reaches her hand to stroke Neil's face was an absolutely perfect touch for the emotions of the song. (And, um, Céline's original Oscar performance of "My Heart Will Go On" was heads and shoulders above the 20th anniversary performance.)
Mariah Carey’s If It’s Over (34th Grammy Awards 1992) or We Belong Together (48th Grammy Awards 2006) is robbed. it’s much stronger than that iconic BBMA performance
Definitely Michael Jackson's "Man in the mirror" performance. Have a happy wednesday night, Phoebe. Take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
When picking a Michael Jackson performance, I’d say the performance of Billie Jean when we saw the moonwalk first performed live. But I think that was a Motown special and not an awards show. A definite miss on this list is when Ricky Martin performed The Cup of Life at the Grammys. Relatively, unknown to many non-Latin viewers, he skyrocketed into a global phenomenon with that performance!
Although I still believe 1998 Mariah is spectacular. But the real performance that gives you chils from her is her 2006 Grammy performance. Literally one of the most complex ones 8n the Grammys history, only standing ovation of the night. Mariah Carey before the climax of Fly like a bird she el9ngates her neck, brings her shoulders back for better posture and the closes her in prayer saying (Saint Peter and dear lord Jesus, I hope you are ready because I am about the transport every single person in this crowd and anybody watching it straight to the gates of Heaven in God's presence. Mariah Carey's display of talent here 10 years after her prime reminds people why she is the best, she song escalates to the climax ascending through her range in almost 4 octaves (Thats Beyonce's, Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande's entire vocal range and when you feel is about to end and she has no more high notes she gives an ascending head voice seamlessly changing it to whistle and in the top note in whistle she sings actual words "Higher Jesus" "All hail and bow to Mariah Carey, The Queen of Divas, Protector of the vocal skills from the realm, Archiduchess of Vocal range/registers, Empress of agility, The unmatched, The Mellisma mother, The Goddess of Songwriting and producing, The one often imitated, but never duplicated, The embodiment of pure success",. My simpleton ears are not worthy of your talent but a simple sung phrase will be enough to heal me for all eternity.
This list isn’t complete for me without Gloria Estefan’s “Coming Out of the Dark” performance at the 1991 American Music Awards after breaking her back in a tour bus accident.
Celine doing that amazing performance in the white gown, chandelier & singing my heart will go on….oh my god. And Pink. Can’t forget Whitney. And yes you have to throw in Michael Jackson!
Lady Gaga at the 2023 Oscars for Hold My Hand. The fact that she took off her makeup and just sang in jeans, Converse, and a T-shirt. It was really raw and stripped down compared to how she started off in the music industry.
Okay, love the Carrie shoutout, but I think the 2018 ACM Awards “Cry Pretty” performance tops the Ghost Story performance. The vocals were so good, and she got a standing ovation
What a great and varied list. I would add Sinead O’Connor’s live performance of “Mandinka” at the 1989 Grammys. Bald, fearless and wearing combat boots, I had never seen or heard a singer like her before. It affected me a lot
Nope, you picked the wrong Whitney. 1994 AMA is no doubt the single best live performance at an awards show ever and certainly gives chills. Ten full minutes of flat foot singing.
Demi Lovato has the most amazing vocal range, as well as Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, Whitney Houston(The voice of an angel) Cher, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson
Must not forget 2 Madonna VMA performances: "Like A Virgin" and "VOGUE" and the moving Joaquina Kalukango's performance of "Let It Burn" at the 75th Tonys. OMG.
Carrie Underwood is a real talent but her CMA performance was a "stolen choreography" from Pink and her previous aerial performances. It was wonderful.
As a African American from the south who pretty much grew up on their more raunchy, trap bangers. Quavo’s solo performance at the Grammys last year (dedicated to his late Migos counterpart Takeoff) brought me and still brings me to tears. That’s my pick. 🚀
There are 3 that come to mind: Prince at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame playing "Gently While My Guitar Weeps", Janet Jackson performing "Scream" at the VMAs and prob my fav is Michael Jackson honoring James Brown at BET Awards. and a honorable mention of Yolanda Adams singing "You Bring Me Joy" honoring Anita Baker at the BET Awards
Not even an honorable mention of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's Oscar performance of "Shallow" that was so emotional that it convinced almost everyone they were actually together. Or even Gaga's prior performance of the heart-wrenching "Til It Happens To You", which shared the all too familiar narrative of assault survivors.
I'm not a fan of rap BUT Mr.Lamar's performance highlighting the injustices of Our day, which are UNFORTUNATELY still going on, was done with CLASS, POIGNANCY,RESPONSIBILITY, GRACE & above all DIGNITY! Reminiscent of how Dr. Martin Luther King would relay his messages... Dignified & Powerful!!!
Two other performances: Dolly Parton's "He's Alive" at the 1989 CMA Awards; Aretha Franklin singing "Natural Woman" at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors. (Franklin was 73 years old and in poor health; she also ripped the piano part.)
They snubbed alot of great African American artists. Jennifer Hudson tribute to Prince at the BET awards "Purple Rain" Bilal tribute to Prince at the BET awards "Beautiful Ones" Luke James tribute to Toni Braxton "Unbreak My Heart"
I can't compare any performance to Demi Lovato calling out the entire music industry, with "Anyone". There are too many big name performers who kill themselves with alcohol and drugs, and the people around them just supply them with those things. For her to stand in the middle of them, and ask if there is "Anyone" out there who hears her? That beats them all. Pink's performance of pretty much anything is going to leave me breathless, because she can do it in a t-shirt and jeans, or a bodysuit hanging from a scarf. Whitney did not need anything but her voice and a mic, and you cared. Too many folks in this video needed a bunch of production to make the performance. If we're going to go that far? Let's bring in Lady Gaga and Elton John, woh kicked off the Grammys with fire. Or the year that the Grammy's started with AC/DC.

You totally missed Adele's Someone like you at the Brit Awards... 🤦♂️
Gloria Estefan - Coming Out of the Dark - American Music Awards 1991
My mother passed away 2 days after Renee passed away. I've been a huge Céline since 1989. Watching her strength while grieving was helpful to me. She will always be my Queen!
Prayers to you, In so sorry you lost your mom.😢
Celine Dion's performance of "All By Myself" during the 1997 Grammy's is perfection. ❤ And of course Pink's "Glitter in the Air" during the 2010 Grammy's.
céline the queen of everything
Not so much, actually, to…oh, so very many.
She's the best ❤
Pink performance at the Grammy Awards was amazing
The top 3 for me: Demi’s Anyone, Celine’s The Show Must Go On and P!nk’s Glitter In The Air. They all possess such talent and artistry.
They missed Melissa Etheridge's performance at the Grammys where she did a Janis Joplin tribute. She was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer at that time yet still gave her all during that performance.
Whitney's "One Moment In Time" live at the Grammys 1989 is the best performance at an award show EVER! Period!
Yup! That should be in here instead of the "I have nothing" performance
Whitney Houston live in the 80s and 90s would have been quite the experience ❤
1988 “Man in the Mirror” Michael Jackson is the BEST! I’m so happy to live & to see him perform. 13:45min.
Celine Dion is literally the GREATEST and most consistent LIVE vocal performer of all time. That woman is from another planet as far as range, power, control, emotion, lung capacity, and sheer showmanship! Every time she takes to a stage to sing, she dazzles. One of the greatest of all time.
Sorry no
@@loyalpaname4458 Tell me you’re Gen Z without telling me you are Gen z
Surprised Aretha Franklin's Nessum Dorma at the 1998 Grammys wasn't on this list. Especially that Aretha only knew she was gonna be filling in for Pavarotti just moments before she got on stage too
💯
I would include Cynthia Erivo’s rendition of Alfie on the Kennedy Center honors for Dionne Warwick. It was amazing!
I’m a huge Celine fan but I think Pinks “Glitter in The Air” shoudlve been #1!
When I saw Céline Dion in the thumbnail, I immediately clicked❤
Me to ❤
Same, friend!
Fun fact: Celine Dion didn’t like ‘’My heart will go on’ song when they asked her to record it…the rendition we hear on the radio is the first take of the song she sang-she was such a professional that she nailed it on the first fake!!
The first take recording is the one included on the Titanic soundtrack album. Then, she rerecorded it which is the one on her let's Talk About Love.
@@AriaArahNope she didn't record it again. You can look at her interview about the song. I know it sound different in her LTAL album but she said they just built an orchestra around it
I loved Celina Dion performance
Big miss that Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond's performance of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" at the 22nd Grammy Awards wasn't an "Honorable Mention" at the very least. Sure, it was a very simple, even understated, performance by two absolute masters of the art but the last moments of the song where Barbra reaches her hand to stroke Neil's face was an absolutely perfect touch for the emotions of the song. (And, um, Céline's original Oscar performance of "My Heart Will Go On" was heads and shoulders above the 20th anniversary performance.)
Celine should have been in the top with Michael and Whitney!! Just listen to her All by Myself performance om the grammy. Crazy Wild!
Celine, Michael and Whitney. True legends ❤
Where is Xtina Aguilera's tribute to James Brown? This performance is one the most Grammys' performance in the story.
Madonna’s Vogue at the MTV Awards?! Hello?!
I’m shocked just as you the Queen of reinvention is not here. Express yourself at the MTV music video awards was also a powerful performance.
Gaga at the Oscar's, sound of music medley?
agree and shallow and till it happens to you
Mariah Carey’s If It’s Over (34th Grammy Awards 1992) or We Belong Together (48th Grammy Awards 2006) is robbed. it’s much stronger than that iconic BBMA performance
"Falling Slowly" from the 2008 Oscar's? Come on. Yes, they were not big names, but which makes it even more chilling.
I preferred Whitney's "One Moment in Time" performance at the 1989 (?) Grammys.
Definitely Michael Jackson's "Man in the mirror" performance. Have a happy wednesday night, Phoebe. Take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
I was watching that not too long ago. He put his blood, sweat, and tears into that performance. It's been 15 years since we lost this wonderful man.
@@kamsismith RIP Michael
So many on the list so much better
Tracy Chapman & Luke Combs:"Fast Car."
I am VERY surprised that Heart performing Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy center honors was not featured here
Kennedy Center Honors is not an award show. The honorees know ahead of time.
Don't think that award winners don't know. An "honor" is still an award@@drieuxkoeppel8152
There was nothing remarkable about that performance.
@ThisCynsOriginal hmmm. Beg to differ.
@@jeffreynolt1710 And you’re welcome to. Music is subjective… that’s the beauty of it and for me, this performance was lackluster,at best.
Definitely Whitney Houston!
Christina Aguilera's rendition of the song "This Is A Man's World". ❤️
How about Mariah Carey’s We Belong Together & Fly Like a Bird medley at 2006 Grammys? That was legendary!
Someone with some sense!
The first time I heard Sinead O'Connor was when she performed Mandinka at the 1989 Grammy awards. I was blown away by her voice.
Where is Aretha's Nessun Dorma at the 1998 Grammy Awards?? That flawless performance done at a moment's notice!
Whitney in her prime before drugs ravaged her gorgeous voice always gave me chills!
Although I still believe 1998 Mariah is spectacular. But the real performance that gives you chils from her is her 2006 Grammy performance. Literally one of the most complex ones 8n the Grammys history, only standing ovation of the night. Pink sings Hopelessly Devoted To You as a tribute to Olivia Newton-John
P!nk is the best ❤ love her performance
That I Will Always Love You performance by Whitney Houston was at the World Music Awards, not the Grammys. ❤
Christina Aguilera’s performance of Hurt at the 2006 MTV video music awards.
Whitney’s medley of porgy I’m telling you and I have nothing was incredible also one moment in time Grammys should of been on the list
Bon Jovi at the oscars in 1991 singing blaze of glory and Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora doing an acustic version of Wanted and Living on a prayer
There are so many amazing performances….ill keep my fingers crossed for a part 2
Elthon John with guns n roses november rain with 2 pianos going
I also loved Rob Thomas and Santana at the Grammys
This list isn’t complete for me without Gloria Estefan’s “Coming Out of the Dark” performance at the 1991 American Music Awards after breaking her back in a tour bus accident.
MJ FOREVER❤❤❤❤
Michael Jackson's performances have always been amazing!
Aerosmith MTV awards Dream on
Sorry I’m confused- why don’t you just let us listen and then comment after? It shows nothing with constant talking….
A consistent problem with any Mojo channel...
They would get hit with copyright. The videos are on TH-cam from the artist's page or show organizations.
The whole point is just to list them. It’s called a TOP 10 LIST for a reason.
@@LJ808but this is the whole reason for the channel. lol wow lol 😅
Yall forgot Xtina's "this is a man's world" performance, which was pure gold.
Celine doing that amazing performance in the white gown, chandelier & singing my heart will go on….oh my god. And Pink. Can’t forget Whitney. And yes you have to throw in Michael Jackson!
I should have seen the snub of Cynthia Erivo singing Stand Up at the 2020 Oscar's coming. Not nearly enough people talk about it!
Lady Gaga at the 2023 Oscars for Hold My Hand. The fact that she took off her makeup and just sang in jeans, Converse, and a T-shirt. It was really raw and stripped down compared to how she started off in the music industry.
Oooh and Gaga's "The Sound Of Music" Medley at the Oscars and introducing Julie Andrews: EPIC!
Okay, love the Carrie shoutout, but I think the 2018 ACM Awards “Cry Pretty” performance tops the Ghost Story performance. The vocals were so good, and she got a standing ovation
Carrie Underwood Does it better than Taylor Swift in terms of Concert Tours.
What a great and varied list. I would add Sinead O’Connor’s live performance of “Mandinka” at the 1989 Grammys. Bald, fearless and wearing combat boots, I had never seen or heard a singer like her before. It affected me a lot
For funniest… The Sweeney Sisters hosting intro at the 1988 Emmys
Oscars:
*Glory - John Legend & Common
*This is Me - Jeala Settle & The Greatest Showman Ensemble
* Til It Happens To You - Lady Gaga
Michael Jackson 25th anniversary MOTOWN awards, Billy Jean. No. 1, for sure. The popularisation of the moonwalk,
You forgot Brandi Carlile's The Joke.
I can’t believe it didn’t even get an honorable mention!!
Absolutely 💯. Brandi was sublime
Nope, you picked the wrong Whitney. 1994 AMA is no doubt the single best live performance at an awards show ever and certainly gives chills. Ten full minutes of flat foot singing.
Why is Selena Gomez's name during the Céline Dion's videos?
Wait, you're gonna list Demi Lovato, but skip the MOST iconic performances? Madonna vogue, and Gaga paparazzi? Someone simply didn't do their homework
Demi Lovato has the most amazing vocal range, as well as Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, Whitney Houston(The voice of an angel) Cher, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson
👑 Avril Lavigne - "Girlfriend"
"2007 MTV Europe Music Awards"
Gloria Estefan’s coming out of the dark for me.
Personal opinion, Glitter In the Air should be top 3.
Fantasia should have made this list - her performance of "I'm Here" at the Tonys was exquisite and LEGENDARY!
Must not forget 2 Madonna VMA performances: "Like A Virgin" and "VOGUE" and the moving Joaquina Kalukango's performance of "Let It Burn" at the 75th Tonys. OMG.
Lady Gaga's VMAs performance of Paparazzi not even getting mentioned is insane.
Carrie Underwood is a real talent but her CMA performance was a "stolen choreography" from Pink and her previous aerial performances. It was wonderful.
Um, why is Céline labeled "Selena Gomez" in your chapters? You need to fix that and at #7, this list is bogus!
As a African American from the south who pretty much grew up on their more raunchy, trap bangers. Quavo’s solo performance at the Grammys last year (dedicated to his late Migos counterpart Takeoff) brought me and still brings me to tears. That’s my pick. 🚀

Brittany Spears 😮 🐍 not here?! Let alone #1?! Wow
But Pink's Glitter in the Air is an All Time Fave ❤ Absolutely!
Yeap as much as how great every performer is Mike is still the King !
Mariah Carey We Belong Together/Fly Like A Bird gave everyone goosebumps at 2006 Grammy Awards ❤
"Selena Gomez" is very unusual spelling of Céline Dion's name. 🙂
Hey everyone I'm the first comment. Be blessed this day
Not even an honorable mention of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's Oscar performance of "Shallow" that was so emotional that it convinced almost everyone they were actually together.
Or even Gaga's prior performance of the heart-wrenching "Til It Happens To You", which shared the all too familiar narrative of assault survivors.
#QueenCeline
thank god you show respect to celine..
Too bad Taylor didn't
MJ’s perfection definitely topped Whitney and by a sliver because Whitney’s performance is very hard to top. She has a stage presence uniquely hers.
They got it right Michael Jackson man in the mirror
Well, Celine's MHWGO performance is already Mojo's #1 Billboard Music Awards Greatest performances.
Why do i have this feeling that Canadians are not feeling Taylor after the Grammys 😮😮
I’m both a Canadian and a swiftie. If they don’t want their tickets for eras worry pas I’ll take them no worries lol
Tina Turner’s comeback performing What’s Love Got to Do With It? in that fringed red mini dress. 😍

I enjoy playing songs from Demi Lovato and Carrie Underwood both of their performances are just awesome.😊
I love that song you going to love me the most.❤️💯💯💯👍
Two other performances: Dolly Parton's "He's Alive" at the 1989 CMA Awards; Aretha Franklin singing "Natural Woman" at the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors. (Franklin was 73 years old and in poor health; she also ripped the piano part.)
They snubbed alot of great African American artists.
Jennifer Hudson tribute to Prince at the BET awards "Purple Rain"
Bilal tribute to Prince at the BET awards "Beautiful Ones"
Luke James tribute to Toni Braxton "Unbreak My Heart"
No Christina Aguilera???? 😮 Especially "It's a man's world" performance was jaw dropping.
please - no chills for most of these performances
So we’re just gonna pretend that Aretha Franklin stepping in for Pavarotti to sing opera at the last minute never happened huh?
Michael Jackson is the GOAT! ❤️❤️❤️👏👏

I wish they could've put aretha's 1998 grammy performance on here because it was phenomenal.
