I love this skit as it is clever and well acted, but it's not very accurate, no. The things you pointed out, but also inspiration doesn't result in adding a d4 normally, unless they house rule it that way I guess
Should have been a roll against a DC, and I think the 4 was a guidance bonus. A Bonus from 0 isn’t to far fetched for most characters that aren’t faces… Anyway: I loved the scene, nicely done!
@@leahandphillip I really like your video but saying "back in 2020", makes it sound like a long time ago. D&D wasn't' my first RPG, so I started RPGing 1984 and started AD&D in '85.

I like how her elven ears are better in quality while he appears slapped on with no additional latex to cover his real ears, they also don't match his skin tone very well (it's an ear growing out from another ear). 1:23
Well done, excellent skit! I love the con save throws if doom scrolling after ten. Maybe add one point of exhaustion if failed! You guys are great. Making the film was worth "staying" in.
Thank you! 😁 yeah we initially had "roll for initiate" but we were having too much fun laughing to get everything correct. We just started playing a few years ago and usually our friends help with the technical side
Honestly I commented on the short version of this and honestly I I'm taken away because this is exactly how I would conduct this a very very short D&D campaign lmfao
Umm actually... You don't roll Persuasion against AC, and you can't gain Advantage more than once on a roll, AND you don't roll a d4 when you gain Inspiration, but house rules so who cares I guess....
@leahandphilip inspiration gives you advantage (if you choose to spend it) on a roll. Thing is, you can't have multiple advantage on a given roll. So the chores board would be better off labeled as "+1 inspiration".
@@juo8979The way they used it the second time sounds like bardic inspiration, as opposed to DM given (or house rule given) inspiration from the first roll. It's not made clear in the skit, but it's also comedy.
While it doesn't conform to any rules I've played before, I love that they codified their rules and made it applicable to their relationship. Lucky couple.

as good as the Galabriel scene 20years ago.

As a woman who stands all of 4' 9", I truly appreciate her standing on the stepladder to face him eye-to-eye. That's brilliant.
It makes a BIG difference! 😂

If she's standing on a stepladder, does that mean she never knew her real ladder?
