I couldn't help but find this hilarious. Working in pharmacy for the past 17 years I've learned to decipher the most horrible kinds of scribble Dr.s can make. It's a talent I'm sure. 😂
I'm a doctor and I find this hilarious! 😂 although most docs can read each other writing, because they're mostly medical jargon. Medical Jargon + cursive (quick) handwriting makes it hard for anyone else to read. I can attest though that some of the docs make it even harder to read. But Adam's prescription was just scribble 😂
@@sureshkumar-qw9ny it's come from the fact that doctors write a lot of notes, on each patient. So the handwriting just turns rough overtime and sometimes unreadable. However, it's actually not for patients to read anyway, so doesn't make any difference in the long run. Most pharmacists understand the prescription, because it's medical jargon. It's just some docs write even more rough (maybe in a rush) which makes it harder for pharmacists to read.
@@The1PrinceAli But can't they take more care or just print it out. Even though the direct use of such prescription is for pharmacists to read, patients still need to refer to it from time to time either for self research purpose or just a simple reminded of dozes.
@@sureshkumar-qw9ny there actually are facilities that provide printout prescriptions, but you have to understand that not all do, and that's not under doctors' control who work there, it's management of that hospital or clinic. And no, you do not need to refer to the prescription for directions on when to take your meds (they're written in medical abbreviations only for the pharmists - e.g. BID meaning twice daily, etc.), the pharmacists then provide directions to patients in clear format along with names of meds printed on the bottle. In fact, most pharmacists don't even return the prescription to patients, because there's no need to, it stays with them for record keeping.
