That's impressive N64 performance for a "zero"-size board. I'd be interested to see how it handles Ubuntu and if can do any PS2 emulation.

In my experience a 6 core ARM CPU will do well on DC and PSP games but falls just short for PS2 and GC. There are plenty of 8 core ARM cpus that still choke on that gen, you need like a modern Snapdragon or equivalent. If this one will do PS2, it would be very special in its class...

This thing is almost perfect.. if they swapped a mipi with a PCIe ribbon similar to the pi5.. +8gb of ram.. that would have sealed the deal for me.
If they had a pcie version that could connect to a nvme SSD.. it would have been a bit more attractive.

ETA PRIME, I have another suggestion for you! I recently learned that Xiaomi's HyperOS phones support a PC mode similar to Samsung DeX and Moto Ready For. This could potentially be a competitor in the mobile desktop experience space.
It would be really interesting if you could test out some of Xiaomi's HyperOS devices and evaluate their PC mode performance. How does the desktop experience compare to DeX and Ready For? What are the capabilities and limitations? Your analysis would provide valuable insights for anyone considering these Xiaomi phones as an alternative desktop solution.
Your channel is stellar at thoroughly testing these mobile desktop environments. Covering HyperOS would expand the variety of options examined. I'm sure your fans, myself included, would appreciate getting your expert take on Xiaomi's offering. Keep up the awesome work!

I agree AI is absolutely mostly a marketing term, at this point. However there are a few uses for it. If your project involves video analysis, such as finding people or faces, then the NPU is a better choice. Not saying most of us need it, just that it does have some legitimate use cases.

I cannot find what video controller chip is in the Radxa Zero 2 Pro. The chip in the uConsole is the Jadard JD9365DA-h3 which has a max 800x1280 WXGA TFT output.
I have found a couple of 8" and 9" screens that will work with that output for the uConsole, but no touch. The Zero 2 Pro does have a matching 8" and 10" screen with touch and accelerometer (Radxa 8HD AD 002, Radxa 10HD AD 001).
My goal is to replace my older 8" tablets with something more open and supported in Linux. This seems to be the best option yet. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and whether you can successfully integrate this module with the uConsole.
