Like the part where Palpatine tells Anakin about the ways of the dark side of the force and how he can save "Padme" with the Dark side of the force. Isn't it obvious that Palpatine is spying on Anakin and he is the Sith lord the Jedi been looking for? That movie made Anakin/Vader look stupid. And the Jedi were dumb too because why did they use Anakin to spy on Palpatine while they could of just use the cameras Obi Wan used when he saw Anakin with Sidious becoming Darth Vader? They should of just let Anakin go with Obi Wan to kill General Grievous and use those cameras to spy on Palpatine instead of using Anakin. The whole prequels were bad and bad writing, end of story bros. But the ending of Revenge of the Sith was gold and the only positive of the prequels.

In my opinion star wars revenge of the sith is the best star wars movie because it is a tragic and realistic story for an adult audience. The galactic republic falls all the jedi are killed and the chosen one who is supposed to be the hero becomes the worst villain and loses everything. On the other hand the originals were very good but they were just adventures for kids. We have luke a little boy who wants to become a big hero and a handful of rebels who fight the big bad and ugly empire which is too powerful for just a few rebels. Come on the story is just unrealistic

Kostas Skywalker I understand where you're coming from, but you're confusing a great story to a great movie. The plot is great but it's performed horribly making it just as bad as the last two prequels. It's the reason why everything else besides the movies based on the prequels are awesome.

The only bad thing about Rots was some bad dialogue but unfornately all the star wars movies had some bad dialogue even ESB like when luke screams nooo to vader that was very funny. Apart from the dialogue Rots had amazing soundtrack good storyline a great plot twist and an amazing ending in other words everything exept from some bad dialogue was very good in rots unlike in 1 and 2. sivad parks well logically it just doesn't make sense from where the movie left off. Supposedly, the Galactic empire was defeated, any remaining where on Endor which was now overrun with the rebel alliance, preventing them from surviving for long. Not that there's "no dark side" left, but virtually, not to a sufficient extent. 30 years later from where that left off, the Stormtroopers have not only gotten their forces back, but they also took a sudden leap in the technology? Enough for new armor? It virtually doesn't make much sense. Probably the biggest reason it is hated on though, is because it pays no homage to the original designs. There's several designs that were not used, but presented, and many fans feel that designing the stormtrooper towards that design would feel a little more original than stripping away pieces and smoothing it off to look like something out of Tron or like Iron Man. I got this info from another video, and of course, we'll just have to see how the movie is pieced together. In my opinion, I think the new troopers look pretty cool, but a bit too futuristic and generic to other movies. BUT, every Star Wars fan must keep in mind that the new movie is directed by JJ Abrams and not George :)

Lauren, I think it was a build up for the third movie. When I was rewatching episode II I fell asleep. Not even joking. Last thing I remember is boring romance scene with Anakin and Padme. I liked the third episode though.

Kris Kindred there are good things to find in ep 1, a few good things, but ep 2 i cant think of any. they totally botched what could have been a turning point in anakin's path down the dark side.

Coffee Ninja I agree the books have a great story, fantastic, one of the best ever...I've worn out many copies of them all, including the Silmarillion....they just fucked it all up in the movies. They bragged about their attention to details but it was the wrong details. Their depiction of Gandalf is crap ..he acts like a tired old man (played by a tired old man) when he is a spry young wizard of only 400 or so years and where the hell are his big bushy eyebrows that stick out beyond the brim of his hat, he would sometimes let people think he was old and tired but they had him that way throughout, had to give him an ornate looking staff with that twisty stuff on top when it's supposed to look like a PLAIN wooden staff, a mere stick like anyone would have, not something that says HEY I'M A WIZARD.......the hobbits are crap, too skinny even in the beginning, barely any hair on their feet (should be as thick or thicker than whats on their heads) and just left the wrong impression, left ol Tom out completely, put Radagast in when he wasn't...about one third of the movie is spent watching Frodo look at the ring...Lots and lots of things...as Hollywood always does. As long as the movie was, they could have just followed the story and spent less time staring and showing vistas. Gollum was the best part and the best actor. The Ents were good actors. The Orcs were good. The sets were good. Had I no knowledge of the books it might have been a good movie...it is merely a loose adaptation.

It was blue in the origin trailer. Also, the original trailer titled the movie "Revenge of the Jedi", but Lucas later switched it to "Return...". This was because revenge is not something a Jedi would do.
Tommy Vercetti His lightsaber was originally going to be blue, but when the film reached the editing stage, the look of the effect did not work out so well when contrasted with the sky in several intervals of the fight above the Sarlaac. Lucas and ILM changed the colour so that it was better contrasted.

It was initially supposed to be blue, the original lightsaber concept was blue for Jedi, red for villains (they weren't called Sith yet). Luke's lightsaber was later changed to green so as to stand out better against the blue Tatooine sky. The original blue color can also be seen on the original movie posters, though I didn't know until now that they had gotten to the point of editing the blue color into the footage before the change was made.

Coltallic Are you kidding, it's amazing! No need for flashy effects and constant action. Just a mysterious voice looming over while images of bizarre and new locations and people are shown. And it advertises itself as the ultimate adventure with the hero, the girl, and the villain.
The movie was still in post production and the score had not been composed yet. I am old enough to remember seeing this at a cinema and I was astounded by this new space opera epic.
From greatest to Worst (Keep in mind I am a die hard Star Wars fan and love all the films, despite the flaws): 1. The Empire Strikes Back: Fantastic film with hardly any flaws. One of the greatest stories ever put to film. 2. A New Hope: The iconic original. Where it all started. Once again, just a great film minus the nostalgia (Though it is kinda slow and boring, especially compared to the rest). 3. Revenge of the Sith: The best prequel, and a damn good film. Despite some bad acting and a few stupid "prequelisms", this is over all a very rewarding wrap up to an honestly less than satisfactory trilogy. Also, Obi Wan v Anikan is the best lightsaber fight ever. 4. Return of the Jedi: A slightly disappointing finale to one of the greatest film trilogies ever made. Still good, but not great. 5. The Force Awakens: Okay, I got a lot to say about this one. It was just okay. I almost put it above RotJ, because honestly they are both just okay films. The main issue with this film, and some of you will hate me for this, was Rey. She was too perfect. She had no struggles, she learned the force like it was nothing. Kylo Ren was cool, but he was also kinda a pussy. How on Earth did Rey manage to beat him in a fight? I don't care if he was wounded from Chewbaca, it was a bad move from a story teller's perspective. Han's death was good and heart breaking, but I could see it coming from a mile away. Finn was awesome. The best surprise was actually BB-8. Though not my favorite aspect of the film, I thought BB-8 would just be a lazy R2-D2 rip off, but he was actually really enduring. This was a fun flick, but not outstanding. 6. The Phantom Menace: Pretty boring overall. Jar Jar was stupid. Sweet fight at the end. I noticed, after rewatching it recently, I didn't feel attached to any of the characters except Obi Wan (and that was because I knew him from the other films, it had nothing to do with the boring rendition in this film). I could've cared less if any of them had kicked the bucket at any moment for no explained reason. 7. Attack of the Clones: Rubbish. This film is really just bad. The plot is boring, the fights are pretty lack luster, and it's the only Star Wars movie I actually have trouble watching rill the end. Yeah, when I said I like all of them, I sorta lied. This is the stain on an otherwise amazing series. The only praise I can think of is the small moments when we see Anakin and Obi Wan interacting like actual friends, but we get far more of that in Episode III so it sort of loses any value here.

It's so crazy to see how much the production changed from new hope to empire strikes back. It starts off as something that was bound to fail and ended being one of the most iconic films of all time. Pretty cool
When he was developing Return of The Jedi he realized that the blue light saber was a bad idea because the blue sky made the light saber very hard to see so then they changed it to green.

For the teenage kids who didn't grow up during the period of the late 1970's and early 80's, you will never know what an incredible effect star wars had on those kids during that time. If you are a Star Wars fan, nothing can bring you closer to that Star Wars experience.
They sure didn't know how to make trailers in the 70's/80's. They didn't even use the music in EP 4/5. I have to say EP 3 was pretty kick ass with Alex Guinness narrating.

Episode 1 actually had many real sets and practical effects but still wasn't a great movie, it was episode 2 that overused green sceen and CGI tbh. Episode three was just a great movie imo.
Three things, 1 - The puppet of Yoda in the Phantom Menace trailer was so funny I couldn't stop laughing 2 - in the Empire Strikes Back trailer I was just waiting for 'No I am your father' 3 - IT"S A TRAP!!!!! Nah it's not I just love that line

In my opinion star wars revenge of the sith is the best star wars movie because it is a tragic and realistic story for an adult audience. The galactic republic falls all the jedi are killed and the chosen one who is supposed to be the hero becomes the worst villain and loses everything. On the other hand the originals were very good but they were just adventures for kids. We have luke a little boy who wants to become a big hero and a handful of rebels who fight the big bad and ugly empire which is too powerful for just a few rebels. Come on the story is just unrealistic

Kostas Skywalker I understand where you're coming from, but you're confusing a great story to a great movie. The plot is great but it's performed horribly making it just as bad as the last two prequels. It's the reason why everything else besides the movies based on the prequels are awesome.

Apart from the dialogue Rots had amazing soundtrack good storyline a great plot twist and an amazing ending in other words everything exept from some bad dialogue was very good in rots unlike in 1 and 2. Aa far as it concerns the originals I think that they were very good movies but a little overrated. Some think that they are perfect because of nostalgia and I can understand that unfornately there is no perfect movie. I am glad that we express our opinions!!!

sivad parks well logically it just doesn't make sense from where the movie left off. Supposedly, the Galactic empire was defeated, any remaining where on Endor which was now overrun with the rebel alliance, preventing them from surviving for long. Not that there's "no dark side" left, but virtually, not to a sufficient extent. 30 years later from where that left off, the Stormtroopers have not only gotten their forces back, but they also took a sudden leap in the technology? Enough for new armor? It virtually doesn't make much sense. Probably the biggest reason it is hated on though, is because it pays no homage to the original designs. There's several designs that were not used, but presented, and many fans feel that designing the stormtrooper towards that design would feel a little more original than stripping away pieces and smoothing it off to look like something out of Tron or like Iron Man. I got this info from another video, and of course, we'll just have to see how the movie is pieced together. In my opinion, I think the new troopers look pretty cool, but a bit too futuristic and generic to other movies. BUT, every Star Wars fan must keep in mind that the new movie is directed by JJ Abrams and not George :)

Their depiction of Gandalf is crap ..he acts like a tired old man (played by a tired old man) when he is a spry young wizard of only 400 or so years and where the hell are his big bushy eyebrows that stick out beyond the brim of his hat, he would sometimes let people think he was old and tired but they had him that way throughout, had to give him an ornate looking staff with that twisty stuff on top when it's supposed to look like a PLAIN wooden staff, a mere stick like anyone would have, not something that says HEY I'M A WIZARD.......the hobbits are crap, too skinny even in the beginning, barely any hair on their feet (should be as thick or thicker than whats on their heads) and just left the wrong impression, left ol Tom out completely, put Radagast in when he wasn't...about one third of the movie is spent watching Frodo look at the ring...Lots and lots of things...as Hollywood always does.
As long as the movie was, they could have just followed the story and spent less time staring and showing vistas.

It was initially supposed to be blue, the original lightsaber concept was blue for Jedi, red for villains (they weren't called Sith yet). Luke's lightsaber was later changed to green so as to stand out better against the blue Tatooine sky. The original blue color can also be seen on the original movie posters, though I didn't know until now that they had gotten to the point of editing the blue color into the footage before the change was made.

Coltallic Are you kidding, it's amazing! No need for flashy effects and constant action. Just a mysterious voice looming over while images of bizarre and new locations and people are shown. And it advertises itself as the ultimate adventure with the hero, the girl, and the villain.
The movie was still in post production and the score had not been composed yet. I am old enough to remember seeing this at a cinema and I was astounded by this new space opera epic.
Darth Maul could have had a great story, and could have been a fitting iconic nemesis... oh well, not the only problem with that film.

From greatest to Worst (Keep in mind I am a die hard Star Wars fan and love all the films, despite the flaws):
1. The Empire Strikes Back: Fantastic film with hardly any flaws. One of the greatest stories ever put to film.
2. A New Hope: The iconic original. Where it all started. Once again, just a great film minus the nostalgia (Though it is kinda slow and boring, especially compared to the rest).
3. Revenge of the Sith: The best prequel, and a damn good film. Despite some bad acting and a few stupid "prequelisms", this is over all a very rewarding wrap up to an honestly less than satisfactory trilogy. Also, Obi Wan v Anikan is the best lightsaber fight ever.
4. Return of the Jedi: A slightly disappointing finale to one of the greatest film trilogies ever made. Still good, but not great.
5. The Force Awakens: Okay, I got a lot to say about this one. It was just okay. I almost put it above RotJ, because honestly they are both just okay films. The main issue with this film, and some of you will hate me for this, was Rey. She was too perfect. She had no struggles, she learned the force like it was nothing. Kylo Ren was cool, but he was also kinda a pussy. How on Earth did Rey manage to beat him in a fight? I don't care if he was wounded from Chewbaca, it was a bad move from a story teller's perspective. Han's death was good and heart breaking, but I could see it coming from a mile away. Finn was awesome. The best surprise was actually BB-8. Though not my favorite aspect of the film, I thought BB-8 would just be a lazy R2-D2 rip off, but he was actually really enduring. This was a fun flick, but not outstanding.
6. The Phantom Menace: Pretty boring overall. Jar Jar was stupid. Sweet fight at the end. I noticed, after rewatching it recently, I didn't feel attached to any of the characters except Obi Wan (and that was because I knew him from the other films, it had nothing to do with the boring rendition in this film). I could've cared less if any of them had kicked the bucket at any moment for no explained reason.
7. Attack of the Clones: Rubbish. This film is really just bad. The plot is boring, the fights are pretty lack luster, and it's the only Star Wars movie I actually have trouble watching rill the end. Yeah, when I said I like all of them, I sorta lied. This is the stain on an otherwise amazing series. The only praise I can think of is the small moments when we see Anakin and Obi Wan interacting like actual friends, but we get far more of that in Episode III so it sort of loses any value here.

When he was developing Return of The Jedi he realized that the blue light saber was a bad idea because the blue sky made the light saber very hard to see so then they changed it to green.

For the teenage kids who didn't grow up during the period of the late 1970's and early 80's, you will never know what an incredible effect star wars had on those kids during that time. If you are a Star Wars fan, nothing can bring you closer to that Star Wars experience.

They sure didn't know how to make trailers in the 70's/80's. They didn't even use the music in EP 4/5. I have to say EP 3 was pretty kick ass with Alex Guinness narrating.

Episode 1 actually had many real sets and practical effects but still wasn't a great movie, it was episode 2 that overused green sceen and CGI tbh. Episode three was just a great movie imo.
Three things,
1 - The puppet of Yoda in the Phantom Menace trailer was so funny I couldn't stop laughing
2 - in the Empire Strikes Back trailer I was just waiting for 'No I am your father'
3 - IT"S A TRAP!!!!! Nah it's not I just love that line

I love seeing how far the quality has come since the original movie.
The Phantom Menace was waaaaayyyy better than Attack of the Clones(that movie was sooooo booooring!!!!!!!!(the climax was amazing, but the rest of the film...)).
