@@rebekahb1167 whoops, fact check! 🤣 We must have been looking at google maps! The Sierra and Monterey Lodges are just buildings that are part of the Sequoia Lodge hotel. (The same way we stayed in the Lightning McQueen area in Hotel Santa Fe). Thanks for catching that!! 💖💖💖
it was so much fun to walk through! the Alice and Wonderland characters wander around the park too, and the tea cups ride is there!! 😍✨ lots of well-deserved representation!
Thank you kindly for taking us with you. I don’t travel well and have never been to any of the parks. This was so much fun. I really liked so much about this series.
Favorite comment about Kids using the little doors: " I could". Proving you are really a kid at heart. Living in the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico) I find it funny that your hotel looks like a local medical office center on the outside. Also, that is a long way to go to get a burrito :). However, I do the same thing. Mexican food in Iceland and Pizza in Hong Kong. I also go into any McDonalds I see in a foreign country just to compare. I get a vibe of 'Use your own imagination to have fun' rather than 'we are actively entertaining you' for the Paris park. Better? Worse? I don't know, just a cultural difference. The train station so close is really nice. LAX to Disneyland is a bit of a drive or $75 for Uber.
I almost cut out the part where I said "I could!" so I'm really glad you appreciated it haha. I laughed when Simon wanted to try the burrito, but we've always got to compare from home. LOL. That does make me feel better that you're trying all the McDonalds! It makes sense, gotta see the difference! I am truly obsessed with the train station being so close. I have a coworker in San Diego who sometimes takes the train up to Anaheim, and it's about 3.5 miles from Disneyland, but it's not a walk across the street. That would be really special! 🤓💖
@@nerdydaydreams Understandable. How you did the Parachute Drop was something. 🫣 You made it. ☺️I couldn’t take that swooping up and down. That’s what is neat about the balloon; it’s just neat to see. It’s a part of the atmosphere, but also there if anyone wants to give it a try.
I loved all the little touches! I would probably stay at another hotel next time, just to see what the slightly fancier hotels are like. But this was a great spot for us to save a bit and still get the luxury of staying on property. 🤓💖
I have absolutely loved your Disneyland Paris videos! Definitely one of my bucket list and the merch is so cute ❤ Are you hoping to head to any other international parks?
Aww thank you so much!! Thanks for following along 🥰💖. You’ll have so much fun when you go!! And they’re really putting some work into Walt Disney Studios, so it’ll be even more fun there soon! Honestly, we’d love to got to all of the international parks!! I think Tokyo is next on our list, but it’ll likely take us another year or two to get there. 🤓💖
Thank you so much!! 💖 are you referring to the Dapper Day at Disneyland in Anaheim? We’ve never been to a Dapper Day before, but I do think we’ll be there this time because it falls on Simon’s birthday weekend!! We likely won’t be dressed up because we’re both obsessed with comfy clothes/shoes 🙈 but please come say hi if you see us!
Oooh, this is a really great question! we got to our hotel late on a Thursday night and then spent all day Friday at Disneyland Paris, most of the day Saturday at Walt Disney Studios (ending the night back at Disneyland), and then had a half day Sunday to do anything else at either park that we missed. I think that was definitely enough time, but it would have been cool to stay longer and make more videos and have more time to relax in between. We walked about 10 miles a day, and we were exhausted after! 💖🤓
Thank you!! 💖 We’re estimating it probably took us about 30 minutes to walk through the maze but we really took our time. I think it could be done in 15!!
Thank you so much for the vegan food review shoutout! 💖 I am so grateful that so many more options have popped up over the years. The hot dog at Casey's Corner had chili on it (not spicy), and the hot dog at the FAN-tastic Food Truck had crispy onions, vegan cheese, and mustard on it. Both were more like sausage than a "frankfurter" style hot dog, but I think the food truck one is more like a classic set up with the onions and mustard. The food truck one was fun but the crispy onions went everywhere (all over the table, my lap, and into the camera bag lol), so they were super messy. The chili dogs were super convenient, less messy, more filling, and the seating at Casey's Corner was more comfortable! I would definitely get both again, but I think I liked the Casey's Corner one a little bit better. 🤓💖 p.s. we learned a lot about the vegan food options from @vegandlp on instagram!
I'd be curious for you to compare your stay at the Santa Fe and at the Sequoia Lodge! Just have had a trip there and, I surprised myself wanting to stay at the hotel and just chill in. Not in my room, but in the hotel! So pleasant! (Also, dunno if it's the same in the US, but you can visit some parts of the hotels!)
Oooo! I've heard really good things about the Sequoia Lodge! I'd love to stay there next time we're at Disneyland Paris. We were glad Hotel Santa Fe had a coffee shop (Starbucks) inside, and I noticed they had a character meet and greet offered daily, but there wasn't a spot I could see myself hanging out in other than our room. I wish we had thought to walk into the Sequoia to check it out! It is like that in the US too -- we occasionally stop at the Grand Californian hotel just to rest in the comfy chairs! 🤓💖
@@nerdydaydreams Well in both the Sequoia and the Art of New York, you have terraces in both styles where you can just chill, and the Sequoia also has a snooker zone! :D And all three "lakes" hotels have chilled bars where you can hang out peacefully, which I have still yet to try! :D Good to know it's like that in the US too, I'm planning on going to Diwney World some time 2025-2026 :D Was a cool serios of video you did, and released (almost) all of them just before I went so it helped me get even more hyped :D Thanks to you two!
Great video! I loved my trip to DLP and I am definitely planning a trip back. I can confirm that French is not necessary. HOWEVER, if you at least TRY to speak French, the CMs may give you a free extra something (e.g. a free cookie).
I tried to Google search info on that duckling with Stitch. Appears they have done a few variations of him "with duckling", not naming the duckling. I've seen plushies of him hugging it, the one you looked at, one in a Christmas hat/scarf and the duckling, and a version of Stitch napping with the duckling. The only thing duck related I found was some people discussing an end credits photo of Stitch reading to ducklings, so my guess is that is what all those plushies are themed after.
omg you’re the best! Thanks for looking into it. That’s so cute about the end credits photo. I had no idea! 🤓💖 there has been sooo much Stitch merch recently, I feel like it’s popping up everywhere!
@@nerdydaydreams The new merch is likely due to the upcoming live action movie being made, but since it isn't out yet they are using the original movie for ideas.
You’re honestly probably right! Lol. We got the hotel for three nights and had four days of park hopper tickets each and it was less than $1,500. The flights were tough on the wallet though 😂💖
@nerdydaydreams I'm from San Diego as well but I'm watching from Germany. I went to Paris Disney a few years ago but my daughter got sick (pnemonia) and unfortunately had to leave early.
@nerdydaydreams Work, I fly for DHL cargo company and their headquarters is in Leipzig, Germany. What part of San Diego are you guys from? I'm in Clairemont
It really is! They do a beautiful job with the theming. We really love our local Disneyland in California too! Disneyland Paris is special in its own way, and we had a great time. 🤓💖
It’s the prettiest Disneyland. Like it’s just nice to look at. French is not necessary. BUT you may get free food if you speak French and the CMs can tell you’re trying hard to be respectful.
I couldn't stop staring at the castle every time we walked by! and Big Thunder, I could have just stood and watched forever. I definitely could have done some duolingo lessons before traveling, but the cast members were so lovely regardless! 🤓💖
DLP has detail all over it, thanks to a great Imagineering team who just wanted to "plus" everything they could from the original parks. A pity it didn't find instant success, for various reasons - but with TH-cam etc - I think it's become easier for people to discover and maybe decide it is worth travelling to the international parks, too. Now Disney just need to spend some money on new attractions in the "castle" park and not just Studios (which obviously needed it).

The tethered hot air balloon is a neat idea, considering hot air balloon history in France and the Verne connection.
