Actually korean is easier for filipinos to learn than other foreigners due to similarities in sound and accent in many words (when romanized) lke " ka, nida, ara, sarang, saram", etc.

We also used Spanish numbers, specially when buying in sari sari store and paying in jeepney and counting time.
Ex. Tag kinse, trese, dos, dose, sais, siyete.
    Time/Oras:
    1:00= Ala una
    2:00= Alas Dos
    6:00= Ala sais
It is half past two= Alas-dos y medya
    1 Uno
    2 Dos

Based from what I've observed, we use tagalog when the money is around 10 PHP and below. Also, when it is whole 100, 200, ..., 900, and 1000, 2000, ..., 10000.
We mostly use spanish when it is multiples of 10 (up until 100).
We use english for most of the numbers in between those.

Ate Sylvia, Just a tip and a trick to add lang po.
t plus iy/y turns into "ch"
    Example:
-tiyan/tyan (belly/stomach), we actually pronounce this as "chan"
    d plus iy/y turns into "j"
    Example:
-padiyak/padyak (to kick), we actually pronounce this as "pajak"
s plus iy/y turns into "sh"
    Examples:
-kasiya/kasya (fitting, not too tight, not to loose), we really pronounce this as "kasha"
We do not have this but might as well add to the logic:
z plus iy/y turns into "zh"

I think Sylvia needs to know the pattern for adding the various prefixes, infixes, and suffixes to the various Tagalog root words. Example: Paypay = fan; pamaypay = something to fan with; pinaypay = fanned something; pinapaypay = is fanning something; etc.
Learning the pattern of conjugating Tagalog words will help her understand why some vowels are made the way they are.

Your vlogs are always entertaining especially with your contagious laugh.😄 One of the best way to remember a word is to associate it with a same sounding word in your language like pito= Puking blood in Korean. lol Pito can also mean whistle. Don't worry, the more you practice the better you'll get. Singing more Tagalog songs will also accelerate your understanding of the words.

Funny thing about counting in Filipino is that we count it in Filipino (be it Tagalog or any other language or dialect) usually from up to 10. Then from 11 onwards, usually up to a few hundreds or thousands, we count it in Spanish. So instead of saying "isang daan at dalawampu't lima", we instead say, "siyento bente singko". Then if it's a larger number, we just use whatever language makes sense or easier to say.

In terms of money, Filipinos typically use the Spanish Language to express how much an item is.
    Example Scenario
: Ate, magkano po ang isang kilong mangga? (How much is a kilo of mangoes?)
; Siyento y Bente (One Hundred Twenty)
    Or
: Kuya, magkano po lahat ng napamili ko? (How much in total did I buy?)
; Sitenta y nwebe (seventy nine)
    : Eto po, otsenta (eighty)
English numericals are considered to be too formal and mostly use in business (sales, financial reports, etc.) Filipino are considered to be formal-informal (in any case) and mostly use in variety of ways (seldomly in financial terms)

    VERB
    (Pandiwa)
Verbs have two types which are the action verbs (salitang galaw) and be-verbs (aka linking verbs).
    I. ACTION VERBS (SALITANG GALAW)
    TENSES
There are different tenses of the verb. These are the Past (Nagdaan), Present (Kasalukuyan), and Future (Hinaharap). In the Filipino language, changing the tenses of verbs is quite different. We use Affixes (Panlapi).
PAST TENSE - In the past tense, there are several Affixes we need to attach to different kinds of verbs. Example of these Affixes are: nag-, um-, -um-, -in-, -an. Below are examples of verbs in the past tense.
almusal (breakfast) ~ nag-almusal [when using nag, hyphens are used when the verb starts with a vowel]
uwi (go home) ~ umuwi [um is placed before the verb]
kain (eat) ~ kumain [um is placed in the middle of the verb]
kuha (get) ~ kinuha [in is placed in the middle of the verb]
agaw (stole something from someone) ~ agawan [an is added at the end of the verb]
palakpak (clap) ~ pinalakpakan [in is inserted in the middle of the verb and an is added at the end]
uwi (go home) ~ nag-uwian [nag is added before the verb and an is added after the verb]

Tbh, when you go to market (wet or dry) and other local stores-or any colloquial places where people sell products, you may often hear words for money as Spanish. That is, I think more common for the locals instead of the Filipino words for counting numbers. And of course, the English counting method too coz it's easier.
Words like bente, trenta, cientos, mil. I grew up hearing those words. I don't know from other places.
