Beautiful cake... But please be careful when choosing gold dust/paint for cakes, not all gold dust are edible. The one in your video that you recommended clearly says inedible on the bottle ...also the one that you have linked in the video seems to also not be edible. Always read the reviews before buying and find out what are the ingredients used before you make someone sick.

100% agree. People are eating non toxic instead of edible. Non toxic is for crafts.

Great idea, I will try this. However I was wondering how that gold is super pigmented, noticed on the bottle it said inedible!!!
    This is unsafe!!

This is beautiful! Is there a particular purpose to coloring the buttercream green before painting on the gold?

Does the alcohol change the flavor of the buttercream or is it not noticeable? Making a graduation cake for family and not sure if I should use vodka or vanilla extract. They don't like lemon so avoiding lemon extract. Thanks for any insight!

Hi! Does the condensation of the fridge affect the gold paint on the cake once it is out of the fridge? Thanks in advance!

      Not at all

Yesss!!! I followed her video exactly even using the luster dust she showed.
The gold does leak when it condensates! I had a puddle of golden water on my cake drum and if you touch it the gold will be on your finger. It doesn't truly dry to touch and it will sweat, especially after freezing it

Did the gold dust make you or anyone you know sick. The reviews say it makes people throw up and have poop. I want to order it but if you had a bad experience I wont. Thanks

Lemon extract has alcohol in it, too. It evaporates quickly either way.

Danger it says GOLD Highlighter Luxury Cake Dust is advised as decoration only since it contains pure metallic powder. So it’s not edible and can be toxic. OCTOBER 29, 2021 Toxic ‘luster dust’ cake decoration poisoned 7 kids in Missouri, Rhode Island, CDC says health investigators learned the illnesses were tied to “luster dust,” a cake decoration used to give baked goods a shimmery look.

The first is not edible. Is forbidden to dust or paint any cake with that.

This smacking of lips you do while you speak, can you work on it. Its not such a good habit for public speaking.
