thanks Matt. Been a long time viewer now. Really like these raw videos. I'm also in consulting and was at some points this year, swept into thinking PE is the next end game for my career. I've since moved on that thought and realized it's not for me, but the fomo is honestly soo real. Thanks for these videos, they've been keeping me grounded
Hey Phuong, thanks for the comment. I totally understand how you feel, I personally feel the pressure to pursue PE because of my IB background and since a lot of other associates at BCG are obsessed with landing the highest paying, most prestigious exit opportunities. Nothing wrong in wanting to pursue PE if you’re genuinely into it, but it can be easy to have tunnel vision and think that you’ll miss out if you don’t get in. If you’re already working in consulting and have made it this far, you’re definitely an intelligent and motivated person, so no matter what you end up doing, you’ll find success. In my last year of high school right now, and I've been stressing to no end about which university I'll get into. This video honestly describes me really well - I'm terrified of having my effort go to "waste".
I 100% understand how you feel. It's really difficult to step back and appreciate what we have when it feels like we need to accomplish so many things. Your efforts won't go to waste - no matter what happens you learn and grow as a person from the experience - best of luck!

Great content man. I covet these top jobs as well but what I think is the real source of job satisfaction is not driven by the job itself. I truly believe everyone of us have something that brings us satisfaction outside of our coveted top jobs. I see top jobs as a place to build the right mindset, safe up some money and call it quits within a defined period of time and then pursue what we truly are more passionate about. Often times those might not pay well but you are not also concerned about paying your rent or where your next meal is coming from.
With this mindset, even when you struggle at your current top job, you drive satisfaction from the fact that it is a sacrifice to set you up for what really means something to you later on in life.
