I hope someone preserves the old photos that were found
Looks like a ghost town inside of that mall.
That place at 12:52 looks like it’s a gold mine for old pictures and old mall layouts. I’m sure there is a Retail Reporting Bureau photo folder with around 30-40 color pictures of the mall interior and exterior from the 1978 series somewhere in that pile. A 30-40 photo series of Foley’s (the Macy’s building) interior was also made that same year. Hard to find.
OH MY!!! YOU GUYS FOUND THE OLD JUNGLE GYM IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR IT FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS Goated video fr💯
Yeah, it was close off behind a large wall. Not sure why they would do that. It was pristine.
12:51 Does Polaroid pictures were from when they will record the things they would fix at the jungle gym. Me and my friend had lay them there, I was really tempted to take them 😅
There was plnety to go around. One of the guys I was with took a handful.

pretty cool, I remember going here as a kid are there any stores still open or any security?
Yes actually, just the other day we stumbled into their office near the food court and they opened the back service door while we were in there, took off so fast💀👍. There’s a old freezer in one of the back hallways it’s rusted as all get out and the air in that specific room is feels hazardous. All in all the feeling at night is erie but it’s so cool when you stumble on old history.
WTF I thought there was only 1 person with you, so 3:35 freaked me tf out lol
🤣🤣 Yeah, there was three of us start that started this run. But yeah, when I was editing this video and got to that part, I figured someone would freak out about it because of the way he slowly walked towards the other person and just stands there.
🤣🤣🤣
@@dronetofly823 Yes, I eventually, seconds later, realized there were two people with you, but that wasnt made clear at all in the first few minutes lol. So congratulations, I guess, on producing one of the most startling moments Ive ever seen on youtube. Clever editing. Hollywood could never!!
I miss going here, as odd as that seems. I never had an issue, and it felt like I was going back in time. How did you get in?
You guys passed up the old general cinema. Would have been cool to see it.
At 12:52 did you guys take the playground photos with you? Because I placed those on that old map
Maybe one of the other guys took them. I only took a map and some regular photos that were in an envelope.
damn my page gettin a lil too local. this the second video ive seen about the greenspoint mall
Great video also you passed by the OG theater that closed in 1998 some of the dry wall is broken honestly there’s a lot of old abandoned store fronts hidden behind false walls
And near the Houston visiting center in the front there’s a closed off space above there there used to be a little cafe
We were kind of pushing it because security were on our ass. After we exited from the mall from the theater side, one security guy came and said to us that he'll bring in the dogs next time. After that comment, we went back in through Macy dock area. lol
My next visit to Houston will have to be another location. Just dont know which yet.
The original cafe sat above the current abandoned waterfall, but it was completely demolished in the 1988 remodel.
@@doitperfect9420 wasn’t that where the Houston visiting section is because there’s a little area above it
