That was a brilliant reaction to this oh so sad song. I suggest you look at Gloria Wu's video of "Daybreak" on Singer 2017 she tells you the whole back story and I also think the original writer and performer was in the audience as well. Also Glorias vid shows him on the morning of the show being taken to hospital to have injections direct into his vocal chords, he had been suffering with colds/flu for a couple of days but on that day of his performance he totally had no voice. Against the doctors advice he did perform on the show and did an excellent job but when he went off stage he was actually coughing up blood, all his fellow competitors were so worried about him … he was the baby of the show at then only 22 yrs old.It's really well worth watching. 👌👌👌😊

All of the prassengers were died except a baby boy.He was saved by his parents. The parents protected him from crashing by holding his body along with the falling_down. Hanhong adopted the boy and raised him up. She wrote and sang the famous song. Dimash covered the song in the singer competition in 2017 at the first time. He consulted the advice form Hanhong. They became very good friends. Dimash called lady Hanhong as Mother. But Dimash was very sick and lost his voice at that moment. The doctor forbidded him from high nots. Dimash sang the song finally after takeing two injections. He did the same choice as a painful Olympic sport man would do. Because the song wrote in Chinese and Di was very sick，he did a little weak and was criticized a lot by some people in the competition. They were all worried for his health, and Li Jian, a fellow contestant even bought him expensive medicine. When they were announcing the results, the contestants and the director expressed happiness and relief over him finishing his performance so well. About the criticism that kasper9016 mentioned, that wasn't specific to this song. It's something that people love to say about Dimash, or any singer who "shows off vocal skills". I guess more relevant criticism would be his pronunciation? His pronunciation in Late Autumn was a lot better, but he didn't have time to learn the lyrics for Daybreak properly because he was flying back and forth between KZ and CN before that episode (ep8). As for not singing Daybreak anymore, there's no deep reason behind it. He never said why, but there are quite a few songs Dimash used to sing but doesn't anymore. For example, Tugan Zher (Kazakhstan Song) is his song, but he never sang it after Bastau either. Daybreak isn't even his song, so him not singing it much isn't weird.
im so sad about that. he is so SO passionate in music, so persistent that he’d give the audience his best even when he’s personally at his worst. nobody had the right to judge him, even if he was worse than usual, he still did absolutely amazing. and even if somebody really just couldn’t stand the way he sounded, they should still admire his dedication and risk taken.

Hello Chris, Dimash wish of singing in Astana since he was a little boy... He was so happy and it shows.. I listen to the whole concert (in 4 parts) . Je ne l*ai jamais entendu chanter si bien, toutes les chansons. Il etait tellement heureux d*etre chez lui dans cette salle de concert avec son propre spectacle. Он сказал что очень красивая и эмоциональная песня и очень грамотно и профессионально преподнесена Димашем слушателям, он начинает как бы рассказывать историю в низких тонах, потом переходит на мягкие и эмоциональные тона повыше с лирическим оттенком и вводит слушателей в историю драмы, затем в кульминации переходит на мощные высокие эмоциональные тона, сопровождая всё это искусными вокальными тонкостями. Сказал что хор очень грамотно и в нужные моменты усиливает эффект песни. И ещё отметил что сцена потрясающим образом сопровождает песню ( игра света и фонтанов).

Hello Chris, Dimash wish of singing in Astana since he was a little boy... He was so happy and it shows.. I listen to the whole concert (in 4 parts) . Je ne l*ai jamais entendu chanter si bien, toutes les chansons. Il etait tellement heureux d*etre chez lui dans cette salle de concert avec son propre spectacle. Il a mieux chanter *Daybreak*, *Unforgettable day* ainsi que Diva Dance... que lors du concours au (The Singer) .
