This song was written by Han Hong about a real event that happened. There was a cable car crash and 14 people died...a couple held their child up as the car fell and saved his life and sacrificed themselves. Han Hong was so touched by the story that she adopted the kid. It’s a truly beautiful but tragic story

This is a cover of an original song of Han Hong , a Chinese singer songwriter who adopted the young boy who lost both his parents from a cable car accident who saved the life of their young boy . I discovered this song almost since I discovered Dimash, and I had this 2 feelings inside me: 1. I felt exactly like you, cause this is a powerful and beautiful song and he is the master of singing, 2. In the other hand, I felt so sad cause I thought: "God, I won't ever witness this talent live and it's so cruel, cause everybody in this world should have the opportunity to see him live". I was so amazed by this performance that I couldn't sleep properly for months... I was so impressed and depressed at the same time. Less than 2 years later, in the past 10/12/2019, I could be in front of him, being just enchanted by his voice, and I was remembering how depressed I was almost 2 years ago, and how lucky I was in that moment. This song is so important, cause it taught me that dreams can be true. Thanks for this reaction guys.
This was a true story. The songwriter who wrote the song actually adopted the child. There was a cable car accident ... the parents listed their 2 yr old son up to safety, and then they fell to their death. Dimash was young when he heard the song and he said that it affected him deeply.

Song was writen ang singing for first time by Han Hong ,one of the famous Chinese singer and songwriter.
She wrote that is based on a true story, which moved her considerably.
At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old kid survived, while her parents both died.
Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the kid.
She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six.

Backstory:
It was a truth to life story. A cable car accident took place in China. A couple lifted their 2.5 yrs old baby and the baby survived the couple didn’t. Han Hong(chinese composer) wrote “Daybreak” to comemorate the great sacrifice of the couple and later she adopted the child.
Dimash trains non-stop. He never let star sickness into his head and he is his worst critic that’s why he knows he is not perfect yet. Can only imagine what more he can do in the coming years.
Dimash believes in having teachers and mentors for life.

Actually, this Bastau concert was in 2017, right after his Chinese breakout. His country sponsored this concert for his countrymen and a LOT of fans from other countries that fell in love with him on Singer.

This Bastau concert was his 2017 one in Kazakhstan to almost 40,000 people just a couple of months after the Singer programme ended, so almost 4 years ago. Just so you know he has been usually educated from age 5, he won a national piano competition aged just 6, and he has been on stage all his life. He started his professional career in 2010 so he was hardly just starting out. He had been winning regional and international singing contests from an early age, so he was a seasoned pro who has sung for the presidents of many countries including Kazakhstan and China and had already travelled the world performing when he was invited to the Singer in 2017. Yes he still practices with a voice coach and is always striving to better himself. He is also still a student, now studying for his PhD 💛
I think I should explain what this song is about and you will understand his passionate performance.
In 1999, a cable car accident took the lives of 14 tourists in China.
One couple lifted their son (2 and a half-year-old) out of the falling cable car to safety. They did not survive the accident.
Han Hong, who is a famous Chinese singer and songwriter, wrote “Daybreak” to commemorate the couple’s sacrifice for their child.
In order to finish the song, Han Hong went to experience the feeling of riding a cable car. Through going up and down in the normal operation of the cable car, Han Hong felt fear and helplessness what is more to say in the terrifying moment of the accident. In the time of life and death, parents think of not themselves but their child, they tried everything to give him the chance of escaping from crushing to death. This is the love of parents. The little boy’s survival is a miracle held up by his parents’ hands.
Han Hong later adopted the orphan. She said she feels empathy with the boy more than others since she herself lost her father at the age of six.
When she heard Dimash wanted to perform this song she called him and gave him her blessing, after she heard him she arranged to meet him and now they are firm friends. This performance is utterly breathtaking, him singing from the childs perspective was so incredible you could almost hear the toddler voice calling for his parents. Heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time. Dimash has made this song his own and Han Hong is fine with that. Listen to War and Peace composed by him from his 2017 Changsha concert also his compisition Unforgettable Day from the Gakku Festival where he hits his highest ever recorded note, then do his newest song, note exactly written by him but he was working on his new all Kazach album with the guy who came up with the original tune during a break in work, the renowned Kazakh composer Renat Gasisin, and they worked together with Erlan Bekturin, Dimash's best friend, sound manager and arranger to produce an absolute masterpiece called Qairan Elim. Dimash also Directed video. On his new album he has written some of the songs the rest he has collaborated with top composers and poets to produce the best product he can. Спасибо ребята эта песня о том как родители спускались на экскалаторе в горах и он сламался. Родители знали что они погибнут, а у них на руках находился двухлетний ребенок которого они сбросили вниз с надеждой что он будет жив. Ребенок остался жив, родители погибли и это реальная история. С какой душой и каким надрывом поет Димаш. Эмоции зашкаливают.

I consider almost every song Dimash sings is an original, because he rearranges his cover songs and makes them completely new and unique. Some of them, like "Sinful Passion" or "Love is Like a Dream", if you watch the originals on youtube, the songs bear almost no resemblance to what Dimash created from them. Even his own covers he will sometimes rearrange and recreate until they're almost like new and wildly different songs (for example "Know" in two versions, one with lyrics and one that consists entirely of improvised ethnic melisma.) Sometimes the story behind the music is even more impressive. Dimash sang this song the first time on The Singer. Two important events happened at this time. One was that it was Dimash's first time singing in Chinese, and he learned the song in a very short time. Secondly, the night before, Dimash began to lose his voice. He was treated at the hospital, where they put injections into his throat. He was warned not to sing for fear of severe damage. Dimash did perform and gave a great performance. Place all this on top of the true story that the song is based on, and you have a performance that is epic in overcoming challenges. Listen to the Gakku version of Unforgettable Day with the infamous D8 note. I think he wrote this song when he was 17 or 19 years old. He may have also written Screaming. Other Dears can correct me.
