    Great video Les and easy to understand. I went ahead and updated to the complete version after watching some of your video's. I'm looking forward to the next video about how to move the fips to another computer. Looks like your from Ontario, out of curiosity where? I am down the road from Toronto in Woodstock (CPR5) anyway keep up the good work and thanks for all that you do, it really helps!!!

    Hi Les…all your SPAD videos are amazing and extremely helpful. In this video you mention a video to follow that will explain how to use VFIPs on another computer to offload the processing of physical FIPS on the main sim computer. I have 9 physical FIPS and have been struggling with this for months. I can never get all 9 to sync with the slave machine despite following Ulrich’s instructions. When will your new video on this setup be available? Thanks!!! -Nick

      I was waiting for the next Alpha Update .. there is some things being added to it that fixes some of the other FIP changes in a more recent Alpha :)... Now for me I have the complete edition which entitles running more than one instance of SN on your home network for the same sim. So I actually run a full version on my Overhead PC (has a touch screen monitor for an overhead panel and then connects the 9 FIPS as well..
      That said one thing I found a lot is that I added a power switch to my USB Hub so that I could turn them all off and on from my panel. that way I would power them up after windows has booted... this I found to be the most successful method.. the other issue you might be running into is just Data bottle neck.. I see this depending on the combination of gauges and if I remove FIPs from gauges then I will see some start to update faster .. So I also need to look at trying to separate them to maybe 4 on one hub and 5 on another going into separate controllers of the NUC pc

      @@LesOReilly so funny to hear you say that! I have the complete SN too and the only way I have ever been able to offload my FIPS onto a slave computer to save processing power for the sim PC is to run two full versions of SN…one on each computer…and let them talk to each other. I was just trying to figure out an easier way to do it and ever since Ulrich introduced vFIPS it seemed like the natural progression. But I have never been able to have it work with all my FIPS running at the same time. Still, I’d be curious to see if you have success with the alpha release and then make a video about it. Thanks!

      @@kambour1 Yup will do.. it's a good feature and an option that those that are non-complete edition could chose to leverage... so yeah it just makes sense to do the work and add that to the series.

    Amazing! Was there any noticeable fps impact? Looking forward to seeing how to run on separate PC (I have a laptop PC that doesn’t see much action). Thanks for another great vid.

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I don’t see one. But that said my CPU is rarely above 50-60%. So has head room. Driving the physical units does for sure. So moving them to a remote PC is a big help. That said running any vFIP on a laptop is still a benefit to move to an extra screen that frees up the main sim.

      @@LesOReilly Thanks for the follow up. I'll reply again with what I see as frames impact of 'displaying' a 6 pack on an iPad running DUET. This is sooooo much fun 🙂

    • @ArtG-49
      @ArtG-49 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So there is a frames hit with DUET....this using a simple 6 pack of gauges. I'm thinking that DUET is not suited for use when there is a lot of changing information / data being fed to and displayed on the DUET 'display'. Not what I was hoping, but it was what I expected given my experience with moving popped out G1000 displays to the DUET 'monitor'. Worth a try regardless.

      @@ArtG-49 yeah running on a remote PC on the Network will be better..

    Hi, I am looking for a way to make my VFIP's visible in VR. Any idea how to get this done. Is there a way via an "ingame panel" and who would have to address this to?

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  ปีที่แล้ว

      No don’t think that is currently possible. Your best solution would be to raise a request via the discord and the feature request channel.

    Les any chance there is a tutorial for a spad next a32NX in the future? can’t seem to get the autopilot functions managed/selected working on the HC bravo

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure ... I am still on the fence with the A320 .. that said once SPAD supports the CM CDU... that could all change :).. though operating the FCP of the Airbus from the Bravo might have some quirks due to PUSH / PULL of knobs and figuring out how best to implement those... Playing with it a long long time ago using my 737 MCP had some quirks to work out... but there were other buttons to re-use for it...

    Les, is the x-touch available as a FIP in spad.

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  ปีที่แล้ว

      No - I think this is some kind of thing that some AAO users whom use VR like to be able to see what they have mapped.

    Hello dear, I need your help, I would like to use 2 PCs, one for the sim with 3 monitors, and one for the avionicac pop outs with 4 touch screen monitors. How can I do? I am going crazy

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  ปีที่แล้ว

      MSFS does not support that. You can use virtual FIPs like this video or you can use products like airmanager. But you can’t have the MSFS planes screens on a remote pc.

    • @diegochiara1709
      @diegochiara1709 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LesOReilly but virtual fips of spad or air manager can I use them on another PC on the network?

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if you have complete edition spad or have the vFIP add on you can install the remote vFIP client on another pc.

    Do you have a video on the physical FIPS?

    • @LesOReilly
      @LesOReilly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do .. SPAD supports them in the same way .. but you see them as physical devices... I also used to run them on a separate machine using a networked license...
