    My a/c was blowing warm air and I thought I was in for a huge bill. Then I saw this video after doing some research. I bought a can in Walmart and it was so easy to do. Now the air is back being chilly. Saved myself a fortune. Well done guys. Great video and great product!

    I just now put an entire whole can of AC Pro into my Toyota 4Runner, however the needle didn't quite make it into the "V" (to me that meant that I needed to buy some more). I called the Support Line which was answered rather quickly and was informed that as long as the needed is in the green and the car was blowing cold air that no more AC Pro was needed. Great product... so easy to use.

    Went to the store, bought it, and just finished recharging my A/C. Took the whole can for my 1998 Camaro Z28 which had only warm air blowing when A/C was on. Now that I have the gauge, just will buy a can when it needs recharging again. Just 40 bucks! It saved me money than going to the repair shop and it was so fast and easy. Thanks for inventing this!

    I've been doing odds and end auto work since I was 17. A lady which happens to be my neighbor asked me to check her a/c and some trouble shooting I realized that she was just simply low on charge refrigerant. So I took of to Walmart and purchased the complete bottle for a low $38 in Memphis, TN. I only asked my neighbor to pay me back for the purchase and wait till a week or two and if the a/c was still blowing cold air I only wanted $15 for my time. Well today she brought me my money so afterwards I rechecked the pressure with A/C Pro gauge and everything was still up to par. For a D.Y.S. I'd recommend this to anyone. I give it 5 stars for availability, instructions, and effectiveness.

    I just loved this video as decades ago I took my mum's car to a specialist for this very thing and he found leaks as well as low refrigerant. it took an hour to find those leaks and $150 to do what this great product claims in 10 minutes and ..in Canada $40. as I have just bought a used Kia w/ AC I am dying to try this out if mine goes low!!

    I got a good used car in 2019 before Covid pricing, for $1,100 He said the AC worked, but it wasn't cold. It just needed a recharge. I DID look-up the ounces needed when totally devoid of charge. My small car called for 26 ounces, so I did one big can, and part of a smaller can, got it into green, and heck yes, been cold for 3 years now. My 2002 Focus ZX3 manual runs great, with REALLY cold air. To be really sure, I may get a one of those thermometers the pros use, that you stick several inches into the vent, should be able to be 42F or even lower. I have had like 1/2 a small can for 3 years, and need my $10 can deposit back from Walmart, so Imma check it today. Did the complete clutch/flywheel/brake master for $1000, at 207k MILES and 22+ years old including labor, I supplied the parts. What a money-saver! 😁

    Thank you very much....the dealer quoted me $360.00 to test my a/c system on my 2010 Ford Ranger after it recently wasn't blowing as cold as usual. I stopped by AUTOZONE on the way home, explained what was going on with my truck and they recommended a/c pro. Within an hour, I had it installed and blowing ice cold air (40'). It's been 6 months and no more issues. Saved me big bucks

    After doing some research online, I decided to try AC Pro. I watched the video on your website and read the directions on the can.I just recharged the A/C on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler and the air is ice cold! It took about 10-12 minutes to complete and no tools are necessary. Now I can combat the intense Midwestern summer heat!

    Thank you for this video. I had been told that I should just take my car to a pro to get it done right. After watching this video on 4 June 2021 I decided to try the AC PRO kit first, and I'm glad I did. (1) I carefully followed your directions. The directions on the can were not helpful. (2) I got the engine warmed up to normal operating temp by going to W mart, where the AC PRO kit cost me about $32.00. (3) With the car running on maximum A/C I checked the pressure, and was relieved to find that the compressor was kicking on and system was not totally out of Freon. (4) I continually shook the can at 12:00 and 3:00, and stopped shaking when I did pressure checks. The pressure built up fairly quickly, and the AC PRO system made it easy to monitor the pressure. The pressure stabilized, by which I mean the needle was in the green zone and the system was not readily accepting more Freon -- so I stopped to avoid putting too much pressure into the system. I don't have much left in the can, and it will probably go to waste, but better that than overcharging the system. On 5 June my wife drove the car and was much pleased with how her A/C worked. I will continue to monitor the A/C performance, and since I carefully followed your directions, I expect good performance for a reasonable length of time.

    I am the original owner of a 2006 Dodge Charger (which has seen better days), and recently the A/C quit on me. It was never the best A/C to begin with, but it was blowing warm air. I saw this video and purchased A/C Pro from a local automotive parts store. Within 15 minutes my A/C was not only back on, but working better than when the car was brand new. Great, easy product with results that exceeded expectations!

    Thank you to each person: the team of engineers, group of scientists, the many researchers, list of developers and the manufacturer and distributors involved in making this product available to the general public! A hole was found in the cooling system line of the 1994 Ford F-150 I drive and as a teacher assistant in the public school system, I was unable to make the costly repair to the line and also pay for more refrigerant to be added that could very well leak out over a short period of time. Days before the visit to the certified mechanic, my father informed me of A/C PRO, the do-it-yourself product but I was very reluctant due to my lack of knowledge concerning the parts under the hood of a vehicle but the intense Summer heat caused me to reconsider and after watching this particular video and a few testimonials, I made the purchase. I read and followed the directions and moments later, the air blowing from the vents was cool and very much welcomed. I added the product to the truck last Summer and a year later, now mid August, I am still enjoying a cool ride around the city. Thank you for reading and I hope my experience will soon be your experience!

    The A/C in my 20-year-old car went warm since I came back to Vancouver three years ago. I decided to tough out the summers when I found out that the mechanics would charge me hundreds of dollars to fix it.
    A couple of weeks ago, I saw the commercial of this product, AC Pro, while watching a World Cup match. This all-in-one kit, together with this comprehensive video and its website that lists the connection point in different makes of vehicles, helped me recharge my A/C in about 3 minutes, at a cost of only USD$35.
    This product is not sold in Canada. The only comparable product sells for over $50 per can, and an additional $15-20 for the hose and pressure gauge. I bought it from Walmart in the States last week, and now my A/C is freezing cold. I will definitely recommend this product to everyone.

    This worked very well for a '99 Honda Accord. At first, however, the refrigerant level was so low that the compressor would not run. This required me to jump 12 V to engage the compressor clutch before it could be charged. It slowly but successfully reached a full charge as indicated by the gauge. I now have a working AC, thanks for your video!

    I own a 2003 Mazda B3000 pickup truck and the AC wouldn’t start blowing cold for 15/20 Min. and even then it would be intermittent. Just charged it up with AC Pro. The clutch on the compressor wouldn’t start up so I called the “Help Line’” and got instructions. The guy told me what to do. It took some time but it started, charged up and seems to be blowing cold and working fine. So far I’m completely happy and would recommend it.

    Rejuvenated my old Chevy truck A/C. Followed instructions and 10 mins later had cold air. Awesome. Only hitch was that the bezel on the gauge was installed upside down (Temp numbers on top & [Rotate Dial] on bottom). Red 'V' on lens was in proper place. I approximated the settings and it worked fine.

    Also, please use common sense guys...If your A/C is getting ice cold, but the gauge still reads Low..STOP SPRAYING! Yes, in a "perfect world", the Low Side should be going up to the "recommended PSI on the chart"....but this DOESN'T always happen. If you're charging the system, and it's only 60Deg out, please consider That... Also, As you're spraying refrigerant, the line is frosting up, and your PSI can go DOWN(cold air causes Psi to drop)...so lay off...let the system run threw a few cycles.....Also note, sometimes Low Side Ports don't always read correctly, there could be a problem with your shrader valve, or the gauge could be faulty. If the Air gets frosty cold, and it's your A/C has been running for at least 10 minutes on High and it's Nice and Cold...GOOD ENOUGH STOP THERE!...don't go crazy trying to achieve perfect numbers on the gauge. I keep seeing this, Lots of people are Over Charging their systems by putting too much emphasizes on the Gauge Psi. Remember, you DON'T have a proper Manifold Gauge set...so you can't see what's going on, in the High Side system.....you're only "boosting" the system real quick....just get it till it's cold, and DONE!

    If your system hasn't been used in a long time, get a 2.5 CFM vacuum pump and AC manifold at Harbor Freight ($150) and totally evacuate your system of water and crud before doing this. Otherwise you risk damaging your compressor. Also use the manifold gauge set to see how well your system holds vacuum before charging. This will tell you if have leaks and how bad they might be depending on how long your system holds a vacuum. Sealants only seal minor leaks. If a leak is detected, then it is a good idea to add leak detector die to the system before you charge by dumping 1/4 oz into the manifold hose. It is important to charge an evacuated system with the MFG's specified number of ounces of refrigerant. This should be printed on a label inside your engine compartment. To insure you are charging the proper number of ounces into an evacuated system, get a digital postal scale at Walmart and weigh the can before and after you charge or during the charge if a partial can is required to meet the number of ounces your system requires.

      Now I'm really confused...😆😆 My son just bought an 18 yr old car...no a.c.!! I'm assuming this can business isn't the right thing for him to try. I was thinking "Hey, it'll fix the leaks if it has any!!" Now you just burst ALL my bubbles...hahaha!!!🤔😐 So, if it's only around $150 to have someone look at it and fix it...then we should probably just do THAT!!!! 🤑 Save a headache.🤕

    • @jmac1999
      @jmac1999 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the A/C doesn't work at all, it is either VERY low (in which case you probably have a LARGE leak) or there is some other mechanical or electrical issue. These cans are mainly for topping up a system that has a small leak. There is not enough freon in the can to charge up a completely empty system.

    When you get ready to connect the fitting to the low pressure put your thumb over the outlet from the can and when some is coming out, keep it that way and connect the fitting. This is to avoid air from going into the system which is not good.

    Joe Black, when your compressor is engaged (center pulley is spinning) that’s when you will get an accurate pressure reading. From there you will want to charge until you get to the green zone as indicated on the gauge. If the compressor is engaged and you still get a pressure reading in the red zone, you may have other issues beyond low refrigerant and should have your vehicle looked at by a certified technician.

    • @martincito1662
      @martincito1662 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Can you tell me what could be my problem?? Ac compressor is not cycling at all, when I plug in the AC PRO the needle goes to the red zone. I think you said in the video that if this happens, "the system could be so low it needs a recharge". If the pressure gauge is telling you that the system is charged, it doesn't make sense to charge it. Still you say to do it any way. You are misleading

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Martin Brizuela If the refrigerant level in your a/c system is so low, it can sometimes prevent the compressor clutch from engaging. Adding a little refrigerant can alleviate the problem. When the compressor is engaged (center pulley is spinning) that’s when you will get an accurate pressure reading. From there you will want to charge until you get to the green zone as indicated on the gauge. If the compressor is engaged and you still get a pressure reading in the red zone, you may have other issues beyond low refrigerant and should have your vehicle looked at by a certified technician.

    • @cainpaul08
      @cainpaul08 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How do you tell the difference between it not giving an accurate reading because the condenser wont kick on and it not having the right amount of r-134a? It was wrong at 1st (up it the red) but I kept adding until I got it in the right so and kept adjusting as the level changed. It seems to be in the right zone but I really can't see down in the engine whare the condenser kicks on (really bad spot).....just seems to be normal outside air coming out still. Think it's the condenser? Should also mention had a mouse nest in the cabin filter area but its been cleaned out. Should I hear a "tick" or "click" when the condenser kicks on? Had the car running half an hour and the fan for the radiator didnt even come on.... temp on dash is fine and its about 67°. Should I give it a day or 2 and recheck? I drove it after getting and holding a good reading for 10 minutes or so

      Joy - depending on the size of the leak and where the leak was located you might not ever need to recharge. In many cases this should be good for at least the season. If hot air starts blowing out vents within two weeks you might have a larger leak that requires the help of a technician.

      Kathy Delp if it’s in the green it means it’s still charged. So if you add any more it’ll be overcharged and you can damage components of the ac system such as the compressor.

      Kathy Delp it well slowly destroy your compressor. If it’s in the green area leave it alone a new compressor plus paying somebody to install if you don’t know how plus new ac charge will cost you are 1,500$

    I've used this product on a few vehicles now and it has worked great! Topped off 3 vehicles with one can.
    I have a question though. Twice I've hooked it up and the pressure will fluctuate from the white to the red every few seconds. In the first case the mechanic just said the system was too low to maintain pressure and he filled it up.
    Is this usually the case, that fluctuation means the system pressure is too low? Am I safe to add some to this second vehicle that is doing the same thing?

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That's great to hear. Thanks for choosing A/C Pro. To answer your question: It's normal for the a/c compressor to cycle on and off. In some cars the compressors are always engaged, while in others electronic modules tell your car’s ac compressor to cycle on and off. When it's rapidly cycling on and off low refrigerant is usually the culprit. When checking low-side pressure you will get two different pressure readings, one when the compressor cycles on and one when the compressor cycles off. Use the pressure reading when the compressor is cycled on and the system is operating at its highest settings (temp to max cold and fan on high). When the compressor cycles on you should see the needle on your pressure gauge begin to drop. When the compressor turns off you will see the needle move back to a higher pressure. Take the reading that occurs when the pressure is at its lowest point when the compressor is cycled on.

    What a great product! It sure takes the mystery out AC recharging. The instructions are clear enough, but the video is a welcomed touch.
    I feared a trip to the repair shop for a possible compressor replacement ($$$ :eek:). Luckily a co-worker had a small amount left in his ACP-100 with gauge and we found my system had low pressure -- there was just enough left to get it into the green and sure enough cooler air resulted! Phew! Saved by the gauge! (totally found out why you recommend gloves ;)
    I was loaned (given? :D ) the hose/gauge and bought 2 cans of AC Pro from my friendly neighborhood Auto Zone and will finish the easy job tomorrow, with great expectations.
    This is one of those things you don't realize/care exists til you need it yourself, so I guess you could say I was referred by a friend in a time of need :)

    Our '99 Audi A4 stopped cooling a few years ago. We had it recharged and it was good for the Summer, but needed to be recharged again the next year. The shop leak tested it, replaced a seal, and recharged again, but once again it was blowing hot air the next Summer. We've just dealt with the hot car for the past two years until I ran across this product at Home Depot yesterday. I just finished draining a can of the AC-100 and it raised the pressure from 25 to 45, at the bottom of the "V" range. I'm going to pick up another can to get the remaining few psi, but so far everything has gone smoothly and there is now moderately cold air on this 90 degree day.
    In the middle of filling, the familiar squealing sound that the compressor made whenever "econ" was switched off suddenly stopped and was replaced by a much smoother, nicer sound.

    One thing I wanted to add, do NOT be afraid to use the one that has a small amount of sealer in it. Sure, mechanics say the heavy duty sealer cans could make it worse, but I used the regular cans that have a LITTLE sealer in there. COLD, COLD, COLD, years later. I think the little bit they add does keep your charge up to snuff, longer. Because car AC, will be prone to leakage over time, even a new car. Car AC units are operating in a vibration-filled, kind of hostile environment, compared to say, a home HVAC unit.

      🤣 My mechanic friend evacuated the AC on an old 1990 Jeep years ago, and did it all in his driveway. You can buy the stuff he used online. It was really overkill, but knowing how to read the high and low-side pressures, can help you diagnose some things, so as to not waste money on un-needed parts.
      I did the method on here, on my present car, and YES, it works!

    To anyone thinking of buying this product: I have to give it a thumbs up. I recently rebuilt the engine in my Acura integera and because of that my AC refrigerant was removed. So I decided I would give this a try and put a 20 oz bottle of this refrigerant in my car (note that my AC system holds 32 oz of refrigerant) and it blows very cold... Maybe even colder than before. And this is while it is still slightly low of refrigerant. So I would recommend this to anyone in need of AC refrigerant

    Worked for me. Only used a few ounces but that was all I needed to restore the ice cold feel of the AC on my C280 Benz. There's a tiny leak somewhere because the pressures were reading a tad low and the vent temperature was a bit too warm but a UV leak test couldn't even find the supposed leak. Just a quick top up each summer and I'm good.

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great! We've found that to be the case quite often with UV dye--it's great, as long as you can see where the leak is. With A/C Pro, it'll seal a leak in a rubber part, even if you can't see it. If you start losing cold air again, you may have a pinhole leak in a metal component. If that's the case, Super Seal will give you a permanent fix next time: acprocold.com/product/mrl-3-ac-pro-super-seal/

    Just refilled the freon in my 2004 Honda Odyssey for the first time(for both the car and my first time). My experience with the guage is that it seems to work best when after refilling, turn the car off and wait for an hour or so prior to testing. Found a label under the hood near the ac that said 30oz was the minimum recommended refill. The can with the kit was 20oz and after using up the whole can, the gauge needle was just in the green section, though the ac was blowing cold. Bought a second "refill" can (14 oz) and put most of it in. After adding the second can and waiting for an hour, the gauge needle was right in the middle of the "V". Hope it will last as long as the original freon in the car!!! Thanks AC pro guys!!

    • @Acprocold
      @Acprocold  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you got your cold air back! It's most important to pay attention to the vent temperature. If you've got good, cold air in the center vent, there's no need to add more refrigerant (even if you're not in the middle of the "V" yet).
      Great job fixing it yourself!

    Bought 2 cans of A/C Pro through Amazon that came with the cheap id can piercing valves and had trouble with both, 1st piercing valve barely put a dint in the can no matter how tight I turned and the 2nd finally pierced the can but the low side coupler valve was stuck shut so it wouldn't dispense into the A/C system although with little pressure it would still connect and lock to the low side port. After using a 7MM socket to push down the coupler valve I was able to free it so thankfully I wasn't stuck with a pierced pressurized can of A/C Pro I couldn't use. A/C Pro's parent company might want to inform id about the problem or maybe go with a higher quality valve gauge set, as much as A/C Pro cost compared to other brands you would think their piercing valve set wouldn't be so cheap...

    Just did this on a w203 mercedes c240. I called up a few places and everyone was from 90-160 dollars for a recharge. It's been 13 years and never recharged the ac system and it was not getting as cold. Ended up giving this a try since such good reviews and all I can say is that it took 5 minutes and was easy as filling up gas in a car. Just don't overcharge the system. Seriously for 38.00 at walmart with tax it was worth it and I have a lot left over which u can possibly do one more car. You can reuse the meter and get the refill which will be cheaper. I wouldn't mind not having AC but my nephew gets in my car and don't want him sweating in there!

    • @Acprocold

      Tia Thomas When adding refrigerant, it’s important to get the A/C system pressure within the correct range. Having too much pressure is just as bad (or even worse) as having too little refrigerant. But the correct pressure range changes with the temperature; that’s why A/C Pro gauges have a rotating dial that you can set to the current outdoor temperature. The gauge will then show the correct pressure range for that temperature. As long as you stay within that range and don’t overfill, you should end up with comfortably cold air! It also helps to check the temperature coming out of your vents while you are charging.
      If you need help using A/C Pro you can always get some additional help from our support team: (888) 318-5454
