Sorry for the poor video quality, you can blame google photos for that :P.
The flashing lights inside the cabinet is the result of the led strip showing the going down and going up animations, you won't see this once I add cabinet lighting.
There are still many more things to add/do, there was a going down sound effect, but i messed with the sound SD card and somehow corrupted that sound. I also need to add lighting for the inside of the cabinet, I do also need to paint the front, and the control box.
This is my homemade claw machine that is controlled completely from an Arduino microcontroller and was all programmed by me. The cabinet is an old Feiloli "Toy Box" crane machine cabinet, the previous owner had removed all of the electronics and was selling the cabinet online for cheap saying that it's good as a snake enclosure or bird cage, As i'd rather not keep a 1.5m pet Python, I decided to turn this cabinet back into a claw machine with the main goal being, to make it as repairable as possible.

This is litterally the same idea I've had for a few years now, I just never know where to start in terms of arduino and all of the complex stuff from music to a up and across system. You have done what I've wanted to do for so long, I'd love to see more of this! Please keep showing more updates and possible code walkthroughs etc and publishing your code for us? Thanks dude!!
To add to this, could you also show exactly how you wired up the gantry stepper motors to be controlled via the Arduino? thanks!
@@tghentertainment776 Hey, sorry for not getting back sooner, so the motors in this machine and in most machines aren't stepper motors they are 48v dc motors, but for this project, i'm running them at 30v so they don't move as fast. To control them with the Arduino, I am using an 8 channel relay module and the motors are wired to it in a H-Bridge configuration so that i can change the polarity going to them so they can go in reverse. The claw is just a big solenoid which is also being controlled by the relay module. I will make a very detailed video in the future showing the entire process of how i built the machine, but i'll release it once I finish the machine. I also will release a simpler version of the code for people that want to get up and running with the bear minimum of components and then they can add to it as they please to suit them.

If u don't mind me asking how does the claw link up to arduino just the claw not the gantry
So the claw has a coil in it that makes the claw close when you give it voltage, I'm using a voltage boost board so I can choose how much voltage I want to give the claw, the Arduino basically just controls a relay which just gives power to the voltage boost board when the Arduino wants the claw to close.

Oeo candy as it was a Feiloli machine, I bought it as an empty cabinet, it had all the electronics removed.

Will this machine go on location?
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet, it might go onto netclaw for a bit, which would be easy to do because i could just reprogram the Arduino that's in there for that.
@@RamClaw Thats cool but sadly we still cant get onto netclaw whenever we sign in or make an account it just keeps loading and saying its getting that thing from the external app but do you know what we could do so it will work? We have been wanting to play for weeks
