Gonna be a bear to replace the anode rod. Maybe cut the old one as you pull it out and replace it with a sausage version, or disconnect everything and tilt the tank. Ask me how I know.
Nice job. Depending on your jurisdiction the drain pan and expansion tank may not be needed. Since this install is in a crawl space without a floor, it cant cause any damage if it leaks. (Might need a vapor barrier though). Expansion tanks or only required for closed systems or local code. It also has to be supported independently of the piping its connected to.
Why glue when working with compression ? How easy or hard would be to undo ?
Is that an electrical water heater?
Gotta strap the expansion tank even if not code for yourself.
What is the small tank you put at the top??
Expansion tank for hot water. It's doesn't shown, but a one way valve should be installed on cold side inlet piping.
gonna have dielectric corrosion at the w/h nipple and the pan was pointless but other than that decent install.
It's a water heater not a hot water heater. You are turning cold water into hot not hot into hot.
I’m glad you’re here to tell us these things.
Holy S#*t captain obvious. Where would we be without you. You really needed to say something huh
@miguelgarza6763 you really need to say something? Look in the mirror little buddy.
Why not go with a tankless water heater? We've had one for 20 years and will never go back.
500 buch versus 1500 bucks.
Not to mention more things to go wrong, and more maintenance too
Liked it until you started actually piping it in. Invest in something besides shark bite fittings if you want it to appear to be a professional installation.
