Do your expressions while playing the Pro Arte strings mean you really like them? I put Helicores on my first violin about 18 years ago, but I ended up selling that violin to someone for his daughter to start learning to play. Fast forward almost two decades, and I recently decided to try to take up the instrument again, and while I liked the Helicores back then, I've been leaning toward trying the Pro Artes this go-round. What are your thoughts on the different sets you played in this video? :)

Hello!!! Congratulations for your return to the violin! The main problem that we have is that Ester's violin has a lot of brighter sound and she is deaf, and for the hearing aids this is a big problem (she hears a lot the pass of the bow). Then we are looking for a darker or mellow sound, and the Pro Arte are perfect for this. Also, Ester doesn't play in orchestras anymore because she plays more modern music and she is looking for a different sound. The Pro Arte are good for this, because they sound warmer and are cheaper (they were, when we record the video). The helicore also are soooo good for the price. In the video we explain that almost all the people in the classical world are closed to try new strings or new brands, but we wanted to try and experiment was so goood!!! Helicore? Sooo good for the price. Pro artr? Since this day we use Pro Arte and we won't change!. Take care and thanks for asking. :)

@@CambiodeRumbo Thank you so much! This is what I was curious about, how warm the Pro Artes sound. I loved the Helicores on my old violin, as they sounded warmer and darker than Preludes, but I want something even darker and warmer this time, since my new violin is incredibly bright, with strong projection that borders on shrill in the upper registers with Preludes (not a bad thing at all if you need to be heard from from away, as it otherwise has wonderful tone). For everyday fiddling and practice, though, I hope the Pro Artes will be exactly what I'm looking for. Will order some soon and take them for a spin. Thank you again! :)

I'm sure that you will love it because the scenario is the same. Also the cool thing is that the volume on each string is more compensated. The E string in other brands is louder but is more equal on Pro Artes. ;) (Im not endorser of this brand, I trying to be honest on my reviews) thans for comment!!! Take care! :)

Hola Yari, pues no la hemos podido probar, pero depende del violin y el sonido que busques, gustos, etc. A nosotros nos va bien esta porque este violin es estridente y con mucha proyeccion. De todos modos vamos a probarlas tambien!!! Saludos!
