    My radiator busted yesterday about 2:00 pm. O'reily and this video saved my day as I started a new job today. Short sweet and to the point. No more info than I needed yet everything I needed down to the screw count. Thank you very much for this video.

    Watching this video before replacing my radiator saved me time and probably some aggravation lol. Thanks for sharing.

    Great video. Very helpful. Only issue I had was the removal of hoses. They wouldn't just twist off. I had to work at it. In fairness, the hoses had been in place for 18 years.

    Good informative video. I know it’s probably a lot to edit it after a long repair and replace but good job

    How much engine coolant does it usually hold?

  • @LatitudeSky
    @LatitudeSky 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The 2008 is different. The coolant reservoir is relocated to the top of the radiator. It's a wide but narrow tank made of black plastic that does not look like a coolant reservoir. This tank has to be removed to get to the radiator.

    Do you remember where you purchased your radiator with the rubber grommets that you mention at @ 9:53?

    Hi my radiator is leaning towards my serpentine belt because the side nuts and bolts are missing on each side🤦🏽 and due to that MY NEWLY REPLACED FAN lines were cut by the belt which is causing my truck to overheat...again🤦🏽 also the bolts that hold the fan to the car frame are missing as well🤦🏽 can i use any 12mm bolts and nuts to reattach. Not a mechanic but seems easy enough.. 😐HELP ME PLEASE!!!🤕😭🙏🏽

    at 6:18 you start to take off a hose from the top of the radiator, i am having issues with the plastic piece that connects the hose to the radiator. what is it called? could i get one at the auto parts store? (the plastic piece is broken inside there and i could probably get it out, but i dont know where to get that part. would i be able to get that piece or would i need to replace my radiator completely)

    I have an '04 Sorento that is missing the rubber grommets on the bottom that you mentioned. I can't find them online. Maybe I'm using the wrong search terms. Any idea what the correct part name is?

    When bleeding out the system, you say you dont need to turn the blower motor on?

    So question. Is it imperative to flush after you install?

      If there is a lot of junk it the system than it definitely wouldn't hurt.

      Just a few hours. Could have gotten it done faster but takes longer when recording a video.

    I see he doesn't have a regular radiator cap that goes on the radiator. If you have a cap on your radiator, leave that off as well till operating temp. I have a 2007 Sorento similar to this one, cept mine has a actual radiator cap on mine.

    My splash shield was Gone when I started on mine!! When the oil gets changed they have to remove the shield. They did my oil change a year ago, and I just noticed Now the shield was gone! Is this really a Must to have this on? Anyone? I have the 2007 Sorento.
