Since we are not so keen on boondocking, we stayed at Sleepy Hollow RV Park right in Wall. Just a short walk to town to explore and enjoy. Great iconic place just like you describe in your video. Even us old folks thought it was a hoot. Had a nice meal, bought ice cream, shopped for souvenirs and mailed post cards. A short drive to the Minute Man site and Badlands from our camping. Too hot for us in the summer to dry camp. Your site at Badlands was amazing!
I made my first trip to Wall Drug in 1969 on our family summer vacation from Southern California to my Dad's home town in Pollack, South Dakota and I remember the roadsigns for hunders of miles. In 2021 I returned to SD for the first time n 50 years and we had to make a return to Wall Drug as my top priority and it did not disappoint!! Thanks for sharing ths great memory of a fun spot.
Tourist traps are entertaining and a great way to support the locals. I love the back story of Wall Drug. Weather at Nomad truly sketchy after we saw a video at an RV Park in another state, with a trailer like ours tipped over in the wind with the slide out! Wind definitely scary! The kids truly enjoyed the stops. You are great parents.❤
I grew up in Rapid City, so I never got to enjoy visiting Wall Drug like y'all did. I may have to do a little day trip there the next time I visit my sister. Thanks for sharing all the fun!!
Nice roadside attractions! The best in the US. I love the fact the coffee is 5 cents. And it’s good! That was funny with what that chicken had written on it. Wall Drugs is pretty cool! A nice place to see.
Fun video! Thanks for sharing! When I was a kid, my family teased me for a while as I had proclaimed excitedly “I want the free one!” when a “buy one get one free” offer was read aloud from a menu. LOL
I live in the Black Hills of SD, Wall is only about an hour from me. Fun little tourist town, as well as Keystone SD.... Black Hills are amazing and such fun to visit...
This was so cute! We totally LOVE roadside attractions! How fun to go back to somewhere you've already been and find even more fun stuff to see and do!
I remember those bustier you all did on Michigan and the Yogurt grave visit.and the chicken one. I remember the Yuppersland too! Those were all nice roadside attractions. Great video Nathan and Marissa! Safe travels and see you all soon! Have a great week!
We were there at the end of June! Love Wall Drug/Badlands area. Though this time, there was some weather - MASSIVE hail storm...and 13k+ damage to the truck and 8k+ damage to our camper. Weather can be CRAZY there!
I remember Wall Drug signs starting at least 100 miles before you get there. I still remember that stop even though it’s more than 10 years ago. Very memorable.
My family is from South Dakota. The little town of Hoven. You may have seen some of their road signs. “Rausch Herfords Est 1946. #1 Dams of Distinction since 1980.
I hope y’all get to stop and visit Devil’s Tower in Wyoming. You can hike around the base, but I really enjoyed hiking one of the loops (can’t remember what it’s official name is). It wasn’t crowded at all like around the base, and had beautiful views.
We were there a little over a week ago. We are now in Moab dispersed camping. If anyone can find us good luck . We probably shouldn't of brought our 35ft motorhome back here, we did get stuck and had to take our toad off the hitch it was hung up on a rock😂
Throughout my 60 years of life, as a child and an adult, we have stopped at Wall many times on our way to Custer State Park in The Black Hills. It is always fun!
The last time we stayed on the wall a few years ago we had a bad thunderstorm like that. We had to leave the next day and it was a chore to get out because it got so muddy. But ten out of ten I'd stay again! 1:19
The green dinosaur visible from the interstate used to belong to Sinclair east of Wall. I have pictures of my brother and I sitting on the tail back in the 1960s.
We travel by car, so we stayed in a motel. But as soon as we knew we were traveling that way, ALL our friends said "You must stop at Wall Drug." Did you know that in the middle of all that craziness, there is a Drug Store? I picked up some real Sudafed for a sinus headache. In addition to a bunch of souvenirs. The other place we stopped not to much further was the Corn Palace. You never knew corn comes in so many colors. And even though we just drove thru it, Badlands was awesome.
When I was a kid, we stopped in Greensburg, Kansas to see the Big Well. I guess it's still a thing. And now you can walk down inside it, which I don't remember at all. I think we just looked down into it. But hey, it's a place to get off the highway and have a break. We also got some of the best tasting peaches in that town.
We were there last year the day the restaurant across the street burned to the ground. It reminds me of going down 95 and seeing all the signs for South of the Border.
Our best cinnamon roll was on the road from Whitehorse to Dawson City and a little place on the left (I forget the name) that advertised the world's largest cinnamon roll and it was the size of a dinner plate and DELICIOUS!
The roadside attraction I always think of is South of the Border on the way to Myrtle Beach. They have tons of signs along the interstate. You've got to stop at least once going to the beach. 😄
The boondock area South of Wall is really nice. Was just out there last month with the wife. Got DQ in town and ate it on the tailgate backed up to the cliff....
Oh my gosh I'm so glad you filmed Wall's! We went by it this past June, but I couldn't get my husband to take the exit for it. I got to see Wall's now thanks to you. We have been to that Ben and Jerry's and got the added bonus of free ice cream day. That was an unexpected surprise.
If you are a fan of cinnamon rolls, when you come back to Florida, come to Sarasota and go to Der Dutchmen (Amish restaurant) in Pinecraft (Amish community within Sarasota County. Another really good donut location is Rise N Roll Bakery in MIddlebury, IN. They have a famous cinnamon/powdered sugar donut that literally melts in your mouth.
This was a really fun video! I loved the little time jumps back to all the other tourist traps you visited. We’ve been to quite a few of them ourselves. I am also a sucker for a good tourist trap. 🤣😍
Cedar point for their Halloween weekends they have a roller coaster graveyard… pieces of dismantled coasters they use to have over the years. It’s sad and cool at the same time.
Sometimes, when facing something you fear, like a scary dinosaur, it is good to remember, "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength." And wearing that verse, like in a tee shirt, feels like a superpower. Way to face those fears!
When I was a little kid and all the cars had big chrome bumpers wall drug had employees that would run around the parking lot and put a wall drug bumper sticker on every vehicle, which gave them free advertising all over the country!
My sister worked at the original Ben & Jerry's location in the old gas station in downtown Burlington and she would come home and tell about some of the flavors they were inventing and either how good or strange they were, or how terrible they turned out. Many experimental flavors were flops!
I thought of Hensley the other day when I was in a second hand store and saw some pink boots just like her's. It too bad she outgrew them, but then again maybe not she's turning out to be quite the young lady. Ya know if you live under the bridge you can never be a Yooper because you're a troll. Think about it. Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hub g for me.
Wall drugs is like most little towns. it's a thing to get you off the road. Alberta has tons of those types of things. mostly 'the world's biggest....'
I love stopping at roadside attractions. My first year on the road heading out west I stopped at every one of those that said moccasins sold here L O L.😂
We've traveled through South Dakota but never stopped. I avoid "tourist traps" at all cost. Have I missed stuff? Not in my opinion, but I am a destination focused person not a journey one. My wife calls me an old "sticky in-game mud".
The signs alone leading up to Wall Drug bring you in. I was disappointed at the quality of the products they had for sale in Wall Drug. We didn’t eat there but did stop in because of the signs. It is iconic and a cool place to see but they could get better made merchandise it keep customers coming back. Otherwise once you have see it why go back.

These roadside attractions is what America is all about. Thanks for another awesome video.
There was a Wall Drug sign in South Africa when we were there a few years ago!
Oh wow!

I like the pink crocs now, but the pink boots are her signature look. Keep up the travels and be safe out there.
Awesome video loved the memories and the pink boots ❤❤❤❤
I've been to Wall Drug and it is SO worth it. Lots of great history there and what a cool place. Great video.
Coincidentally my Facebook memories today were of my visit to Wall Drug a few years ago. Great high light!
Love love love!! The signs are awesome and yes a tourist trap but a must see place to visit!!!❤❤❤ Awesome video!❤
It really is!
I grew up in Rapid City, so I never got to enjoy visiting Wall Drug like y'all did. I may have to do a little day trip there the next time I visit my sister. Thanks for sharing all the fun!!
Thank you for watching.
When you are on the road, specially with kids, tourist trap are the best, great video thank you, enjoy and stay safe....
We enjoy them! Thanks!
I love the Badlands. One of my favorite places to camp on the ridge. When we went to the Cadillac Ranch what pulls up? The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile!!!
That’s super cool!
Nice roadside attractions! The best in the US. I love the fact the coffee is 5 cents. And it’s good! That was funny with what that chicken had written on it. Wall Drugs is pretty cool! A nice place to see.
I love all your renovations the pictures are my favorite!!

Awww Hensley in her pink boots. Now she has pink crocs I see.😊 So cute.
What a cool video. I love watching flashbacks. Especially when it shows when the kids were little. Thanks for sharing and safe travels.
Thanks for watching.
I remember those bustier you all did on Michigan and the Yogurt grave visit.and the chicken one. I remember the Yuppersland too! Those were all nice roadside attractions. Great video Nathan and Marissa! Safe travels and see you all soon! Have a great week!

Oh no! So sorry that happened. Storms come fast out there.
I remember Wall Drug signs starting at least 100 miles before you get there. I still remember that stop even though it’s more than 10 years ago. Very memorable.
Love stopping at roadside attractions with Wall Drug being one of our favorites.
Love the throwbacks. This was a fun video.
Glad you enjoyed!
Very cool video, love all the road side distractions !!
Thank you they are fun.
Wow... it reminds me of how long I've been following the channel when I remembered the first video about Wall from 6 years ago.

My family is from South Dakota. The little town of Hoven. You may have seen some of their road signs. “Rausch Herfords Est 1946. #1 Dams of Distinction since 1980.
Hi from Los Angeles. LJMJ is the perfect distraction from the 5.0 earthquake a few minutes ago AND tropical storm Hilary which is slowly intensifying.
Prayers and Everyone is in our thoughts. Glad you found the video helpful during this time.
Such a fun place. Well several fun places.
What a fun video! 😊❤ Hensley hiding in the back was hilarious and adorable😂
Thank you!! 😊
I hope y’all get to stop and visit Devil’s Tower in Wyoming. You can hike around the base, but I really enjoyed hiking one of the loops (can’t remember what it’s official name is). It wasn’t crowded at all like around the base, and had beautiful views.
We did that a few years ago and loved it!!
That was fun! We look forward to going to South Dakota and are planning on staying at Nomad View. Of course a stop at Wall Drug is also on the list.
South Dakota is a great adventure.
we almost totally passed up the wall drug experience…but that 5cent coffee couldnt be beat! what a cool and weird place to visit!
That 5¢ coffee is the best deal 😅
We were there a little over a week ago. We are now in Moab dispersed camping. If anyone can find us good luck . We probably shouldn't of brought our 35ft motorhome back here, we did get stuck and had to take our toad off the hitch it was hung up on a rock😂

Such a fun stop!
Wall Drug…. I can’t count the times I’ve stopped there. Yes, I’m a sucker for weird roadside stuff from RT 66 Giant Men to Paul Bunyan. Thanks!
The last time we stayed on the wall a few years ago we had a bad thunderstorm like that. We had to leave the next day and it was a chore to get out because it got so muddy. But ten out of ten I'd stay again! 1:19
Yes we would stay again as well.
The green dinosaur visible from the interstate used to belong to Sinclair east of Wall. I have pictures of my brother and I sitting on the tail back in the 1960s.

The children have grown up so fast. You have got to visit alot of cool places making lots of memories. ❤🇬🇧
Thank you.

Awesome.
GREAT VIDEO!!! Free water and .05 coffee - go both. AMERICA. 💗
I love Wall Drug and all of South Dakota! Its my happy place
Great stop!
If you liked Cadillac Ranch you should go to Carhenge in Nebraska.
What a fun video. Let's all meet up at Wall's Drug Store, and I'll buy the cinnamon rolls and 5 cent coffee. I live in Colorado.....Let's gooooo~~~.
Sounds awesome.
The roadside attraction I always think of is South of the Border on the way to Myrtle Beach. They have tons of signs along the interstate. You've got to stop at least once going to the beach. 😄
Yes South of the Border is a similar place with lots of signs.
That place is the pits.
The boondock area South of Wall is really nice. Was just out there last month with the wife. Got DQ in town and ate it on the tailgate backed up to the cliff....

That is a nice surprise!
Been to Wall Drug twice with our camper and resisted buying a "Jackalope" both times!
😀 They are hard to resist for sure.
You should stop in Murdo, Sc at the auto show. It is unbelievable. Its close to Wall Drug

Tourist traps are fun for us and most of the time iconic.
This was sooo much fun to watch ❤️☺️🇨🇦
So glad you enjoyed!
Cedar point for their Halloween weekends they have a roller coaster graveyard… pieces of dismantled coasters they use to have over the years. It’s sad and cool at the same time.
That is cool, didn't know about that in Cedar Point.

❤️❤️❤️❤️
If like Chicken Alaska, check out Thorp Wisconsin. Themed Cow statues throughout town!
👏👏👏👏
On theRoad between Loa Angeles and Houston was THE THING - paid $5 to see it in the 1970s.
When I was a little kid and all the cars had big chrome bumpers wall drug had employees that would run around the parking lot and put a wall drug bumper sticker on every vehicle, which gave them free advertising all over the country!
We just visited there 2 months ago and we had to get the free water but the food was pretty good too!!
Yes! Very yummy.
You should go try Toby's in Hinckley Minnesota cinnamon rolls
We will try them when in the area.
Haha!!! 1 more!!! What a great place to stop!
Signage like ROCK CITY, RUBY FALLS, LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, just to name a few
YEP! I’m a Tennessee girl, so I get that.
😮my husband and I stopped there because of all the signs on the road and way to go Hensley you conquered T-Rex😅
Such a fun stop!
Did you go through Nebraska to get there?
Kind of Nebraska and Iowa.
Qaa out at wall drug a couple of weeks ago. Did you go to the minuteman nuclear missile site.
We sure did in this video. th-cam.com/video/m6qOODEM4xM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=caQ5m47SNESwQ-bA
Awe I miss Hensley pink boots. 😊
Entertainment at its finest! 😂

I REMEMBER SEEING ALL THESE TRIPS
Aww! Such good memories ❤️
Our good friends own the Chicken Gold Camp! (Shout out to Mike and Lou!)
We had such a great time!
There is one Book I really want, if I get an RV.
"Roadside America" .
My sister worked at the original Ben & Jerry's location in the old gas station in downtown Burlington and she would come home and tell about some of the flavors they were inventing and either how good or strange they were, or how terrible they turned out. Many experimental flavors were flops!
That is so cool.
Dearest was Vermont's first ice cream 🍦 company.

Wall drugs is like most little towns. it's a thing to get you off the road. Alberta has tons of those types of things. mostly 'the world's biggest....'
but you didn't have to let the gate down to go up to the grasslands since they put in the cattle guard
Wall Drug is defiantly an experience
It sure is 😂😂😂
I’m going to say I’ve loved your daughter since my 1st sight of her. I would love to be her great grandmother
We love all the family we can get 🥰
SD is a beautiful state, but the weather can shock you if you are from the northeast.
I love stopping at roadside attractions. My first year on the road heading out west I stopped at every one of those that said moccasins sold here L O L.😂
❤❤❤❤❤
I'm with Marissa.....I'm scared to death I'm going to miss a tourist trap. I have stepped into a bunch of tourist traps, but I want to see them all.
👏👏👏👏👏
I MISS THE JACKALOPE
We stopped there too. Definitely a tourist trap lol.
We loved it.
Just down from wall drug
I guess you're 'Professional Tourists!"😊
Exactly 😂😂😂
We've traveled through South Dakota but never stopped. I avoid "tourist traps" at all cost. Have I missed stuff? Not in my opinion, but I am a destination focused person not a journey one. My wife calls me an old "sticky in-game mud".

Just one more baby, please!
We have our hands full at the moment.
Are you going to take my man JJ to see the sign you put up?☢🛑☣
You bet! We need a new sign. That wood is probably about had it 😂
