It was gd race but the subaru only won bc he had the inside line.....which to me already gave him the advantage a time attack would've been better bc with cars so evenly matched who ever has the inside line wins
At the timing of entering the straight, the Lancer Evo is climbing. My guess is that the suspension is vibrating a bit as far as I can see from the video. I think that it stabilizes with a little braking to suppress them. Immediately after that, the Lancer Evo descends the slope. I think this is a technique to increase speed in the second half of the straight.
The cars are almost equal. It just depends on the driver and luck conditions. As you can see, Impreza could took inside line on the start, so it was faster.

Screen 1: Battle result / STI wins Screen 2 (the important one): Lap time result / Lancer wins (even the annoucer says it) Battle result =/= lap time result. Anybody can clearly see that the STI was faster on the straights (even Nakaya says it two times during the race) but the Lancer performed better in corners for the overall best lap times. So basically Lancer wins. If the race was with two less skilled drivers, the results would surely be different but with DK and Nakaya, these are probably the best results ever for those cars.

この頃はGT-RとRX-7がなくなって、ランエボ、インプWRX STIはまだまだ続く感じだったのに、今じゃGT-Rが復活してRX-7も復活の噂ある中、ランエボはなくなり、WRX STIはインプから独立しちゃったもんな。
ほんでWRXも生産無くなりましたな〜
結局はGT-Rの独り勝ちになるのでしょうか…スープラも復活はしたけど海外生産の上にブランクが長かったですし、NSXも生産期間がやや短く、多くのファンが熱望してたタイプRの復活は叶わなかったですし…

What's that left foot tap on the brake at 05:06? He does it on the straight, just before the hard braking. Never seen that before.

そりよりもパワーバンド的な問題じゃないですか?インプは中高回転トルク重視、エボは低中回転トルク重視なんで、それに差が出てるように思います。
4G63って割とタコメーター8000近く回せるし
EJ20は8000回すより7000ちょいでシフトアップした方が早いとか言われてるし
