Togashi shows an ability to perfect and even come up with stories and characters better than his last. I wonder if Tserriednich might eventually become my favourite villain, good analysis btw.
That’s true I can expect the 4th prince to be more powerful, interesting, and more well written than meruem. Also we know that gyro is the final villain of hxh so therefore he’ll be the most powerful, more interesting, and most well written villain of hxh. its good to have gyro being the final villain of hxh, because gyro represents pure evil.
Amazing analysis!! I had never thought about the fact that, unlike the previous antagonists, Tserriednich actively seeks to separate himself from others, and deliberately rejects connecting with anyone. Thank you for this video, it must have taken a lot of your time! And also my thanks to Radman, this editing was spectacular!

Hisoka is actually very different from Tserri in that Hisoka seeks out people he finds exceptional - he is full of love (lust) and his mindset requires unique individuals that he admires (to take down)
personally, what i want from his (one-sided) "friends" narratively speaking is for the manga to show him being capable of connection (actually be affected by them, even for the briefest moment and/or for the readers' eyes only), and to present to him an opportunity to go in this "light" path, and for him to ultimately reject it. continuing the theme of "humanity" from meruem vs netero, i think it would be cool and particularily meaningful to show that the most evil character is not evil because inherently incapable of love/connection/"good". and we've already had examples of the other side of the coin and characters who took the "light" path
Melody meeting Tse is one of my most anticipated events of the arc. so much potential. my personal theory is that the "Sonata of Darkness" that disfigured her had a part in Tse's early shift in personality-- cursing him, but to his benefit. like "the Devil's" chosen one. it fits neatly with a number of things: his underground art collecting proclivities, his aforementioned personality shift, why his naive childhood friends were injected into the boat scenario (his past has ample depth to be explored), how and why his satanic symbolism is overtly prevalent, why his second nen beast developed subconsciously and has meta elements (curse AKA nen parasite, like the jar ceremony's), why the story was woven for he and Melody to interact, etc.
Ooooh! I never thought about the fact that Tserriednich controls fate while Chrollo wants to understand fate. That's a great theory on how these characters will connect later on.
Thanks for the video great as always and I like the new editing style! Something else that struck me while reading the chapters about him is how his Nen beast is a mask of a monster hiding another more humane-looking mask beneath it which in turn hides something entirely inhumane within it. Maybe I’m reading to much into it but I think it kinda reflects his personality: It might seem from the outside like he’s a well-intentioned guy using brutal means to achieve his ideals but beneath that lies something far more twisted and sinister. I hope we get some new chapters soon :D

This why I know togashi gonna pull off this arc in perfectly epic fashion. I've seen almost every single movie and tv show since around 1985 to around 2015, i've read hundreds of fantasy books, read thousands of comics, read tens of thousands of manga, and out of them all Togashi is the only author in existence that is actually pulling off a so-called 'battle-royale'. Hundreds of authors/directors have tried something like this and they've all failed miserably because what Togashi is doing is insanely difficult to pull off. For perspective its like if George RR Martin put every major character in game of thrones on a massive ship, and then had them all fight to the death to figure out who would be king while also incorporating the underworld, the legitimate rulers of GRR Martins world (aka the top hunters), an expedition of an unknown land, and all within the realms of the best battle system in existence aka nen (Togashi made it to be as similar to real life as possible...). He's above genius level. One of these days Ill make videos explaining how HxH is actually legitimately real life. Togashi was interviewed about how he came up with nen back in 2004-06 i forget the exact date, you gotta use the wayback machine to fine the interview on an obscure japaneses blog, but Togashi is asked how he came dup with the 'nen battle system' and Togashi responds, 'i just made my battle system as close to actual reality as possible' or something along those lines. Reread HxH as if its real life and its how the top 1000 or so humans on the entire planet operate. HxH is the universal conspiracy theory in plain sight, not 'hidden in plain sight', its just 'in plain sight', reread it as if its how the rulers of earth operate. Dark continent is space. Togashi is a GENIUS.

When you first said his name at the start of the video you blew my mind. I've been thinking Tsair-ee-ed-nitch this whole time, for some reason I never thought about the actual Japanese pronunciation. Great video!
This is an absolutely fantastic dissection of Tserriednich's character. I've said before that Chrollo is my all time favorite anime/manga antagonist, but he has the potential to be even greater. As an aside, something I like to mention when I discuss him is his Luciferian portrayal, even beyond his Nen beast having the number 666 on its chest. His portrayal as an outwardly beautiful, but inwardly evil person is similar to how Lucifer is often portrayed in classical art and literature, as well as an argument that pride is both of their greatest sins.
This video is really good, another banger ehh?! Tserridnech is one of my favorite characters from Hunter X Hunter. For me, he’s one of the main reasons why I enjoy the succession war arc so much. I love forward to seeing how his story continues.
Masterful video you’ve proposed to us here on the King of Malice himself : TerrorSandwich. It proves how good Togashi is at creating characters full of layers of interests in regards to his overall series.
I wonder what type of monstrosity togashi tought gyro could do when he said hes the most evil thing ever, tseri is damn scary- unless he's cut short like meruem was I don't see anyone stopping him
I think I see where Togashi is taking Kurapika's story. Maybe he won't be able to defeat this colossal monster. Maybe he will find another way to be at peace with his clan other than physically getting their eyes back. Not saying I don't have faith in Kurapika. He's certainly one of the most resourceful and determined characters in the show, but I just don't see him easily beating a guy who can literally see the future. Maybe with friends? Maybe that's the change we're gonna see with Kurapika - he'll stop acting alone? That'd be a sight.
Succession war is already one of my favorite arcs in any manga andhas sooo much potential. Tserriednich is already such a cool villain really hope togashi can finish the arc how he intended to.
I'm not much of a fan of leaving comments on videos, but the new edition left me very surprised. I've known this channel for a few years now and this is the first time I've seen this edition, I admit that I don't watch all the videos you upload (mostly because I haven't seen all the series you've analyzed). I applaud what you did today, not only for this new and energetic presentation format, but also for the video itself. This character, as well as HxH, has captured me so much that I can't wait for the series to return. Thank you very much for this interesting analysis, I love what you do, keep up the good work.
It's so sad that the succession arc is already the best hxh arc and one of if not the best arcs of shonen adventure manga history (yes, I'm talking about one piece) and we're not even sure if we'll see how it ends
A theory that goes around is that Tse´s ablity is actually the power of his beast, not himself. If this is true, this may signify a possible development for Tse - that his "control over everything" is much more an illusion and result of his circumstances rather than his deliberate efforts. I don´t think it is likaly Tse will be written this way, but it would be interesting anyway.
Great video and fantastic timing because I've been thinking of where Tes's character is being pulled towards. Introducing his so-called friends blindsided me and I did not see that coming. But I feel like its hinting towards a moment in his life that may have had a major impact on his character like with the Troupe and Kurapika. A cycle of hatred and violence. On a further note, I wonder how Tes continues to stroke his ego while in the presence of the likes of Beyond Netero. I really doubt he would feel superior under his shadow (literally) lol. I understand he is a prince to a large kingdom whose birthright gives them a large continent in return as a future king. But then again this is an aspect of hxh that I love. The importance of side characters (ordinary people/nen-less people especially) has been given and their utility despite their attitude/ego/pride to others; the main characters in this case. The characters like the servants/maids of Queen Oito to the guards on the lower decks and the mafia. I like that ordinary people have as much sway as the nen users do within the narrative.
Have been waiting for the Tserreidnich video from you. You ever going to make one on Camilla? She has shown similar level of conceit in Ch 363: "Cammy wants everyone in the world to do what Cammy wants. First, Cammy wants all prince to die. Ideally, volunteer to die. Ideally they have to think, 'Since Camilla is going to be the king, I should kill myself'." She also has really unique ability, relationship with her mother and siblings and past with the untouchables.
As someone’s who’s favorite piece of art ever is hxh and favorite Jojo villain is diavolo, I am obsessed with this character just like I am with every other character in hxh
This fcking arc will be the greatest history ever witnessed. There is SO MUCH in this arc, and everything seems tied together. I love reading this arc, and it hasnt even really started yet. I hope togashi will be fine, and bless us with this masterpiece.
You know what he's a lot like diavolo thinking he the best and the King of course they are different but the way they think of themselves is a lot a like.
I think togashi has a terrible twist in mind: Woble dies to halkenberg's hand, forcing kurapika to choose one of several flavors of vengeance against halken, Tseri, or the phantom troupe. Kurapika's enemies aboard the ship keep growing in number. I think this is a sign that kurapika will have to abandon the world for his own sake. Maybe this ends with the hunters surrendering the human world to Tseri and leading the survivors fleeing to the dark continent.
Liked the editing on this one(content is top notch as always). I was thinking since, you have caught up to one piece will u consider doing ur review style(podcast, audio only) analysis on characters like whitebeard or some themes u noticed as a whole (rather than in a specific arc). Love ur content, our tastes in animanga are very similar and I appreciate another kindred spirit as well. Many thanks for reading my Comment
I don’t think a podcast style review for certain characters would be necessary, primarily because I’ve already done that. For example, a Doflamingo one would be redundant because I said everything I would say about him already in my Dressrosa video, etc etc Glad you enjoy the content!
@@Aleczandxr Oh, amazing. You do live reactions for HxH. theres literally no reactors out there who really get whats happening in the manga RN so I'll be sure to tune in.
There is a little thing i think needs to be point out... IIRC Morena isnt the leader of the Heil-Ly that Tsseri agreed to back up, she did a coup on the family. She obviously was a high ranking member before, but like i said the wrested power and started this "game" of hers... and if i caught right some details from conversations, Tsseri hates her, that is why after the "game" started he agreed so easily to allow the destruction of the Heil-Ly, that and the fact that he was anxious to return to train Nen.

A lot of talk of Tserri's views on humanity broadly here but not his extreme misogyny. That's reflected in his introduction, and obviously his beast. Cool takes but that seems a strange key aspect of his character to leave out of this analysis. He specifically targets young women. Doesn't like them lying to him. This also gets reflected in his beast. Respects Halkenberg on some level but no line about Tubeppa despite her also excelling in her fields. I predict mommy issues down the line. I expect Unma to be significant at some point.
He is deeply interesting and it is sad that many HxH Fans struggle with reading the manga because of the amount of text (and sometimes the art as well). Whenever I try to talk with other HxH-Fans on cons or cosplay Tserry no one knows who he is. I really hope we get another animated arc so people get to know this character. He is one of the most fascinating and twisted characters and knowing Togashi it will be very interesting to see if there are some backgroundstories that make us understand more why he is the way he is.
I won’t be making any videos on Kite, outside of the stuff I’ve already talked about with him. Feel free to ask about it on stream sometime, always happy to answer.
I was thinking, there's a basic trend that the characters that are closer to the Specialization side of the chart are highly intelligent but also mentally fragile, where as those that are closer to the Enhancer end are more "simple minded" but maybe more emotionally driven or troubled. Is there any merit to that theory?
Like top side has trouble controlling their emotions, while bottom side just breaks if all their thinking can't overcome a situation. Kurapika being special due to his eyes and situation maybe?
Enhancers tend to be more straightforward. Not exactly of stablemind, just honest with how they present themselves. Specialists, on the other hand, have conviction, but more mixed emotions. Kurapika knows his clan would wish him a good life, yet he's determined to avenge them no matter the cost. Pitou displayed a disregard for life other than the King's, wanting him to be happy without caring if it's what he _should_ be doing. Tserri finds humans absolutely repulsive, except for what they're able to produce (art in particular).
I gotta say King Crimson is without a doubt my favorite stand so when I came across this guy I was so hype. And in true Togashi fashion, the rules and limits of Tserri’s ability are *clearly* explained. One thing I think that adds to these long hiatuses (besides Togashi’s health issues obv) is Tserri’s addition to this arc. With so many moving pieces in play already, and the author’s talent for thoroughly accounting for each one of them, writing this arc must be one helluva challenge. Even now reading that moment with him training and Melody’s music always blows my mind.
Togashi sensei really ticks all the boxes of types of villains: Meruem = best-written villain (the development this guy gets in 1 arc is much more than most protag in Shonen series) Chrollo = the hype villain (let's be honest whenever Chrollo appears it'll be like "alright let's go") Hisoka = the boss villain (this guy is the embodiment of "Ma life, Ma rules") Prince Tserriednich = the super villain (why super villain, because this guy makes Zetsu an OP principle of Nen, create 2nd nen beast with no effort best part unknowingly)
Prince Tserri is such a fascinating character, and how he's able to adapt and be so attuned to nen already is so freaking scary I can't wait for more of him

@@slevinchannel7589what
@@slevinchannel7589 The problem is that it would be too much for the average nen user to process, except for geniuses like Tserriednich
First 5s and you managed to actually pronounce tseri’s name. Thats definitely worth a like.
Much appreciated and happy you enjoyed!
I definitely think Tserri would be the only person to look at Meruem at say “…Fuck, you are too repulsive to look at”

And meurem would proceed to behead him with his tail
Nanniiii??!?!!!!
U think so? I think u are wrong.. he would call him beautiful and elegant looking. Meruem looks good
Hisoka is actually very different from Tserri in that Hisoka seeks out people he finds exceptional - he is full of love (lust) and his mindset requires unique individuals that he admires (to take down)
personally, what i want from his (one-sided) "friends" narratively speaking is for the manga to show him being capable of connection (actually be affected by them, even for the briefest moment and/or for the readers' eyes only), and to present to him an opportunity to go in this "light" path, and for him to ultimately reject it. continuing the theme of "humanity" from meruem vs netero, i think it would be cool and particularily meaningful to show that the most evil character is not evil because inherently incapable of love/connection/"good". and we've already had examples of the other side of the coin and characters who took the "light" path
That'd be cool if that's the direction the story goes

His characterization as a narcissistic psychopath is actually very accurate to the personality of many famous real life serial killers
Hoping togashi will complete hxh 😢 hats off to togashi for making legendary manga
You said that for a while now

I encourage everyone to think about their own Nen-Ability: ITS FUN, to say the least.
But the question is if you can cheat the System (to a reasonable extend :) Wouldnt even want anything more) so i ask your thoughts on this: What about a catalyst-ability whose sole purpose it to be Useless and even HIGHLY Restrictive and then multiple more Abilities that all have the teeny tiny Restriction 'Can only be used while the useless Ability is active'. I can think of countles ways how this will not work but a few where it would actually work: You just gotta have 3+ Ability-Slots but more importantly have Restrictions that 'act on you' as long as its activated or even outright all-the-time. Kurapika, i think, gave me the idea cause i wondered if Emperors Time extreme Cost only helps Emperor Time or them all - and f this is exploitabe!

When you first said his name at the start of the video you blew my mind. I've been thinking Tsair-ee-ed-nitch this whole time, for some reason I never thought about the actual Japanese pronunciation. Great video!
this is the HXH equivalent to celestial dragon's and Togashi will not disappoint
Lol Equivalent.. the caliber of Celestial Dragon is beneath HxH princes
Dark King indeed. Togashi has heinous stuff planned for him but he won’t win.
I would agree with this unless you also criticize God as well, who is worse.
Love the editing in this video. Great quality and as always a fascinating watch and listen!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Succession war is already one of my favorite arcs in any manga andhas sooo much potential. Tserriednich is already such a cool villain really hope togashi can finish the arc how he intended to.
1:22 sounds like Patrick Bateman
Always amazed by vids like this. It's like random people are more invested to the manga and imaginary characters compared to the author itself.
Tserriednich is so fun to watch. Very good analysis, keep it up!
Thanks!
I love his plotside with Tetha
Great vid, awesome editing and choice of music, sharp script to bring forth the beauty of this twisted character. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Don't forget the phantom troupe is hunting the Heily family too
A theory that goes around is that Tse´s ablity is actually the power of his beast, not himself. If this is true, this may signify a possible development for Tse - that his "control over everything" is much more an illusion and result of his circumstances rather than his deliberate efforts. I don´t think it is likaly Tse will be written this way, but it would be interesting anyway.
Thank you as always, and thanks to Radman for editing the video
This guy’s power is insane. Only Tagashi is unrivaled
So insane, it's basically King Crimson
Another great video man 👍
Thanks!
Ideally they have to think, 'Since Camilla is going to be the king, I should kill myself'."
She also has really unique ability, relationship with her mother and siblings and past with the untouchables.
great video, very excited and hopeful for what’s to come
nice editing on top of the great insight as always, this might be your best vid yet.
“You’re either perfect or you’re not me.”

This fcking arc will be the greatest history ever witnessed. There is SO MUCH in this arc, and everything seems tied together. I love reading this arc, and it hasnt even really started yet. I hope togashi will be fine, and bless us with this masterpiece.

Fantastic video like always

BEGGING FOR MORE SUCCESSION WAR CONTENT !!!
Love the new editing
I think togashi has a terrible twist in mind: Woble dies to halkenberg's hand, forcing kurapika to choose one of several flavors of vengeance against halken, Tseri, or the phantom troupe. Kurapika's enemies aboard the ship keep growing in number. I think this is a sign that kurapika will have to abandon the world for his own sake. Maybe this ends with the hunters surrendering the human world to Tseri and leading the survivors fleeing to the dark continent.
Whatever Kurapika decides, I'm sure that he won't survive the voyage
The peak of both species. While meruem is the humane king of the species of monsters, tserriednich is the monster of humanity.
NEW ALECZANDXR JUST DROPPED AND IT’S ABOUT HXH! LETS GOOOO. Day saved
For example, a Doflamingo one would be redundant because I said everything I would say about him already in my Dressrosa video, etc etc
Glad you enjoy the content!

i saw your video about pouf some years ago (my fav character) and now this, peak as usual.
ps: morena when?
No video for Morena planned. But, will surely talk about her in the stream discussions for new chapters when those come out. Glad you’ve enjoyed!
Imagine if Tesri was in one piece. He would have conquers haki, and advanced armament and observation haki in a short time.
It’s always a joy to watch super well constructed videos with a suprise umineko reference. Dead angle is such an amazing mysterious song so happy to hear it in a random video, instant sub lol id also love to see your thoughts on wtc franchise speaking of which!!😊
Glad you enjoyed! And Umineko is in my top 5 stories of all time, I love it beyond words :)
@@Aleczandxr LOL good response i feel like most people like me and you who love to overanalyze when they cry and umineko especially would NEvER be able to fit any and all thoughts on even just the mystery and interpretations into some kind of video. This vid did make me start reading the manga finally though never really been exposed to how incredible togashis style is and ive always held off on the incomplete stuff of hxh, but it also does remind me alot of umineko with a massively rich family duking it out on an isolated spot in the ocean. Im loving it so far, and once again dope video bro keep making that content
Such a great character, I love that he's like a protagonist out of the romanticist movement, but a warped, evil, protagonist.
A lot of talk of Tserri's views on humanity broadly here but not his extreme misogyny. That's reflected in his introduction,
and obviously his beast.
One of my favourite characters, the variety of the villains of HxH is magnificent
About time we got an analysis on the goat. He's probably the most terrifying character in the series yet despite the Dark Continent reveals.
14:20. I believe Morena only very decently usurped control of the Heily. They are complete strangers. Tserri would know the previous Boss.
If we didnt know about gyro then tserri would absolutely be final villain material
Watching this just makes me so excited for the rest of the arc and as a result so much more desperate for more chapters. Please Togashi.

The newest chapters shows us that this mindset is most likely groomed into the royals.
Tseri will run into the lil baby prince and will actually find new beauty in life creating life
love your analysis
I gotta say King Crimson is without a doubt my favorite stand so when I came across this guy I was so hype. And in true Togashi fashion, the rules and limits of Tserri’s ability are *clearly* explained.
One thing I think that adds to these long hiatuses (besides Togashi’s health issues obv) is Tserri’s addition to this arc. With so many moving pieces in play already, and the author’s talent for thoroughly accounting for each one of them, writing this arc must be one helluva challenge. Even now reading that moment with him training and Melody’s music always blows my mind.
The goat
Togashi sensei really ticks all the boxes of types of villains:
Meruem = best-written villain (the development this guy gets in 1 arc is much more than most protag in Shonen series)
Chrollo = the hype villain (let's be honest whenever Chrollo appears it'll be like "alright let's go")
Hisoka = the boss villain (this guy is the embodiment of "Ma life, Ma rules")
Prince Tserriednich = the super villain (why super villain, because this guy makes Zetsu an OP principle of Nen, create 2nd nen beast with no effort best part unknowingly)
