Gen 2 was so awesome. So much gameplay, surprises, twists and turns. When u finish your 8th gym and defeat the Elite 4, most of us thought it was over, then came the SS Anne going to Vermilion and the excitement of knowing u have 8 more gyms and the whole Kanto region to explore and even getting to battle Red as the final Boss. No other Pokemon game in my opinion matches the GSC gen 2 games.
YAS! GSC is my fav in opinion too! so much action, chaos, saving Goldenrod City, gym leaders, going on missions and leveling up with your starter and squad! Gen 2 is honestly awesome!
Pure facts. I heard Game Freak went all out with the Kanto voyage because they thought G+S would be the LAST Pokémon games. Instead they produced one of the greatest phenomenons of the 20th century.
im not gonna lie, gen 2 was kinda ass in my opinion. The level curve is horrible, so many weak pokemon introduced which is why they got new evolutions, most of the pokemon you'll use are the same since everything else is weak, a pretty bad team rocket plotline, some easy kanto gym leaders and then for some reason red's pokemon are low 80's high 70's.
I want to say it feels kinda cliché to say Blue is the best here, but... well... the battle with him is very unique because he has a full team of six and doesn't specialize in a single type, so... there's good reason to like him as a gym leader
41:15 Wow, I didn’t expect that result with the last gym battle, considering the outcome of most gym battles in your videos, and on pretty much any gym battle video game video on TH-cam in general.
Best gym leader theme ever! Blue was really tough to beat out of all the gym leaders. He really put on a tough fight. Janine was the worst out of all the gym leaders.
Sadly, all Kanto Leaders except Blue were notoriously weak in Gen 2. I can't see how anyone who defeated the Elite Four and the Champ and arrive in Kanto with a Lvl 45+ team can struggle here. The most pathetic of them is Janine. I mean, how can GameFreak give her a Lvl 39 Venomoth as her toughest Pokémon?!
at the very least, they boosted their levels in the remake by like 10-ish levels. But yeah, fighting all of the kanto leaders again felt kinda underwhelming
Misty is my favorite out of the 8. Her design in this game, while it never appeared in the anime, is pretty much how I see her growing up if she ever did so in the anime.
Trio Strongest Trainers Teammates: Sarah May (Ho-Oh) Lv.61, Vicki Li (Feraligatr) Lv.62, Katie (Farfetch'd) Lv.16, LINDSAY (Sudowoodo) Lv.21, LISA VICKI (Paras), Lv.5 and Stacy (Red and Shiny Gyarados) Lv.40.
By the time you faced Erika i was nothing but annoyed of you using non-effective attacks on purpose. Like what's the point extending the battle by yourself.
I remember back in the days, I use to be so upset that we couldn’t fight them again. Producers also made them so weak. I mean just think about it, the player has just beaten the elite 4 and ends up with these guys with pokemon between level 38 and ~45, are you serious ? They messed up that part.
31:50 Man, how did a 6-levels-lower Rhydon outspeed a BIRD that was 6 levels higher than it?! Blue’s Pidgeot, and Blue himself, is lucky that your Rhydon’s Horn Drill missed because Pidgeot actually did a relatively decent job against some of your Pokemon.
Rhydon didn't outspeed Pidgeot. Pidgeot used Whirlwind, which (along with Roar) is a "negative priority" move, meaning the user will almost always attack last here.

10000% agree with this statement

@@shrapt3528 They had all of the old 'Johto' games.
Best gym leader theme ever
The introduction part of the theme is absolutely awesome but I kinda find the rest of the theme to drag on repetitively, but it’s still very good.
Man did blue give quite the fight
It was heart wrenching seeing rhydon struggling in that fight
41:20 I think you won because of Youngster Joey, he gave you his blessing
1. Brock’s Pokémon: Graveler, Onix, Rhyhorn, Omastar and Kabutops
2. Misty’s Pokémon: Golduck, Lapras, Quagsire and Starmie
3. Lt. Surge’s Pokémon: Raichu, Electabuzz, Magneton, Electrode and Electrode
4. Erika’s Pokémon: Tangela, Jumpluff, Victreebel and Bellossom
5. Janine’s Pokémon: Crobat, Ariados, Weezing, Weezing and Venomoth
6. Sabrina’s Pokémon: Espeon, Mr. Mime and Alakazam
7. Blaine’s Pokémon: Magcargo, Magmar and Rapidash
8. Blue’s Pokémon: Pidgeot, Rhydon, Gyarados, Alakazam, Exeggutor and Arcanine
What a legend
I remember when my Feraligator used Ice punch vs Venasaur in the battle vs Red :')
Blue was a pain to beat, what a bad player!😞
Don't say that I beat him without losing pokemon!!!!!
@@Cjartz16 Watch my battle with him here (I wasn't serious in that battle but still the fact that he used 2 full restore say it all.)
Because he's hard to beat, no wonder he's called Poophead27!
You can beat him by using his pokemon weekness
Yeah, Blue is a pain -_-
I like them all, Because it hits back when I fought them in red. Blue was always my favorite rival and to see him become a gym leader was awesome
Even though he was only Champion for less than a day, I see Blue managed to learn the Champions' secret technique: SPAM FULL RESTORE
I want to say it feels kinda cliché to say Blue is the best here, but... well... the battle with him is very unique because he has a full team of six and doesn't specialize in a single type, so... there's good reason to like him as a gym leader

His gameplay sucks!

Typhlosion was my guy, bro’s cry was lit!

3:23 Hah, that Metronome being a Conversion2 and transforming Togetic into a Water-type actually helped Togetic to resist Omastar’s Surf!
Brock's team: exists
Grass types: I'm about to end this man's whole career
Aerodactyl in Heart Gold & Soul Sijver: I don't think so
But with omanstar?
Imagine if Brocks Party was:
-Onyx
-Golem
-Rhydon
-Aerodactyl
-Sudowoodo
-Tyranitar
Brock: I support Lord Helix. And Dome.
Woah, Blue just... Wow.. 0-0 I can't believe he Just... Beaten you the first time in this video..but at least you got your revenge on him.
I like Janine because of her poisonous maneuver and tactics.
Something to keep in mind, the Kanto Gym Leaders isn't accessable until after defeating the Elite Four.
Dear mixeli you are my favorite TH-camr ever
Glad, Enjoy then!
Joey: I almost caught a caterpie-----.......
Gold: FUCK YOUR CATERPIE. I JUST LOST AGAINST THE STRONGEST LEADER IN JOHTO.
😂😂
It always was funny for me that Blue kept his champion team even tho he must be the Ground type gym and has a fucking Pidgeot lol
Pay some respect to blaine, his gym burned down.
I’m glad HeartGold and SoulSilver game these gym leaders higher levels
QOTD: Sabrina because she’s awesome and she’s a freaking PSYCHIC
Misty is my favorite out of the 8. Her design in this game, while it never appeared in the anime, is pretty much how I see her growing up if she ever did so in the anime.
They are so underleveled
Ah the days when golduck could learn psychic and me and my friends thought it was a dual water psychic type damn you game freak.
Ok, is it just me or am I dumbfounded at the use of wing attack twice when waterfall was right there.
On a 4x resisted Pokémon as well lmao
He was probably just trying to give himself a challenge
A critical hit!
I love the new Kanto gym leader music

Wow the pidgeot and meganium is falling in love together 32:21
Blue's arcanine was nightmare
Brock should have had a golem, rhydon and Aerodactyl
Imagine Being a Kanto Trainer and Getting Clapped by a Level 48 Geodude on the first Gym
Why did you choose Wing Attack against a Graveler? Twice? And even switched to a Typhlosion?
Seriously, what is wrong with you?
Flexing
I agree i rather oneshot
Sabrina and Blue gave me a lot of trouble. Those damn Alakazams
Lol that Pidgeot/Meganium ship.
Blue arcanine Is very poweful
Why does the viridian gym be looking like it’s made of legos?
Because Blue...cannot leggo of not being Champion
But the real question is... Gold, Silver or Crystal?
(I'm for Crystal)
Crystal
Silver
@@averagemariorpgfan4131 good choice!
Earth badge? Exactly what was ground type about his team? He had a Pidgeot!
Back to Kanto
Use the original Kanto pokemon team...
Pidgeot
Charizard
Blastoise
Venusaur
Pikachu
Snorlax
Still the same
the moment you finally had a DESPOTAR
By the time you faced Erika i was nothing but annoyed of you using non-effective attacks on purpose. Like what's the point extending the battle by yourself.
Hello Mixeli You Are The best
QOTD: blue, cuz is the only one that i couldn't one-shot his entire team
I wish they made the kanto gyms super hard. Progress from lances level pokemon up to the 80s then red should have been all 100s
What I ask is why did gold even take on the lab to gyms in the first place. It’s like if Cynthia challenged the Unova Gyms in the Anime.
All of the Gym Leaders had original voices, that's Kanto, Johto and Hoenn in the anime.
The Viridian Gym is made of Legos XD
I remember back in the days, I use to be so upset that we couldn’t fight them again.
Producers also made them so weak.

HOW DID YOUR GAME SAVE
I always start off with Lt Surge..
Why won't you used moves that are the advantage against the Pokemon that are weak against
The strongest trainer isn't youngster joey it the bug catching kid
Did dragonite really just use wing attack on a graveler when it has waterfall
Oh finally!!!!
Yeah sorry, I was a little Ill
Hi,your youtube icon is Trainer in the banner of POKEMON MASTER android game, yes or no!?
The fact that you didnt defeat Erika with WING ATTACK because you clearly dont know type weaknesses/advantages has bothered the crap out of me.
Why Meganium in the mini sprite looks like Oddish
20:03 please tell town where is placed this gym
Kire
What's the pont of it being at 60fps? xD
Did you know that bellibolt is based on politoed
The next video cut be of the batle tower
Keep it going!😁
Ui ! 😊
So many sketchy decisions made during the Brock battle lol
41:16 rip
Your battle play through is kinda weird lol
32:15 Hah, touché.
풀타입 체육관은 블레이범 하나로 무쌍가능한데 왜저리 답답하게 하는건지 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
No jhoto is they Best
Ash traveled with Brock and Misty at Johto.

Why Wing Attack versus Brock’s Graveler to open? Insta-stopped watching. Clearly you had Waterfall.
To add insult to injury, he switched to a Typhlosion on the Onix and later to a Togetic.
@@friedgpu man litrally had thundur and use waterfall on msity golduck
