this is awesome as always, I think that for the bump map it needs another noise a bit bigger to distort a bit the traight reflections of the reference. I will test it later. I loved the masking strategy
Thanks a lot! I accidentally set the roughness to 0.1% instead of 0.01%, and it drastically worsened the look! Crazy how such a small change can influence so much!
Hello, Will, One thing that bothered me a lot was the fact that I had two texture mappings with different IDs and keyshot didn't understand that it could apply one texture to one ID and another texture to another ID. I looked in the manual and in the videos available on blogs and on the site itself and found nothing that could. Something like, within the utlities, working on the composition with multi material. In other words, each ID applied to each part of the model. There's only split material to solve this; nothing else? If that's the case, it slows down the application of textures to get something realistic. Thank you for your patience and attention. Mario
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'mappings with different IDs'. KeyShot does not use ID to designate anything as far as I know. You can use multiple textures by using labels. Labels can be layered. This is done in the material graph. You can then blend them by adjusting opacity of the label on top, or you can use an alpha channel to mask out the label on top. Is that what you mean?
please make a tutorial about crystal material with cracks, bubbles, and translucent parts inside it(is it possible to do everything in keyshot or we need to prepare something on 3d model?). i can provide few cristal 3D models if you need.. Thanks!
That's strange! Are you running the latest version of KeyShot? Wondering if it's a bug. If so, updating can help. Otherwise, maybe it's off-screen somehow? Maybe updating the graphics card driver will help since all dialogues are rendered by the GPU.
If I'm understanding correctly, you want to take single PNG, that has all 6 sides of your box, apply it to a box/cube in KeyShot and have the 6 sides land in their proper spots. To do that, you'd need model the box elsewhere and set it up to have UV coordinates and use the PNG with the 6 sides as the UV map. It won't work on KeyShot's default cube/box.
@@WillGibbons i have box and i made a png file with exact size which i have the box size. i try to apply the png label which is the 6 side on the box. it couldn't fix the perfect size which has six side of box.
Thanks for the tutorial! One more parameter you could add is the wavy glaze reflection - scale the noise way up. Also, that MGM logo needs a little tweaking: does anyone else see sperm/egg ? 😂
actually why should i purchase your course because in this demo video i can literally see that you are just following your steps without explanation why we should even do that step and what changes we can see because of that.literally i am missing that thing.

Ah, I hear you there. May seem like a small difference, but it's a factor of 10 which is a lot mathematically :D
the best !

I don't think I know of any way to do that in KeyShot! Sorry.
hey when you click on move texture a little box opens but when i click on it it doesn't open

Great Boss.... I have a question boss... can we wrap 6 side label (front, back, left, right, top & bottom) a open PNG file on the box object?.
Unfortunately, I do not understand the question you're asking.

Hi Will, can't figure out why my plastic isn't glaring. It isn't shiny at all, appears very flat. Can you please help?
Is the specular value set to white? If not, try that.

Definitely. I think that's what Diego mentioned below too. If you want to design a cool MGM logo, I'm down!
