1) fury Road
2) road warrior
3) Furiosa
4) mad Max
5) beyond Thunderdome
just because I put it last doesn’t mean it’s a bad movie. They’re all amazing in their own way, in my opinion.
We’re gonna get The Wasteland next, with Tom Hardy in the Black On Black!
Same
How is furiosa below road warrior
@ultraviolet540 I hope they do but furiosa underperformed at the box office so I highly doubt they'll green light the next movie
@@aj_nick23 it just is
One of the few franchises where I like all the movies
5. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome-From the PG-13 rating to the more unfocused narrative to the children in the second half of this film, I don’t think this movie comes together all that well, despite appreciating George Miller continuing to bring new influences into this franchise
As a point of reference, I’m a big fan of the rest of these movies
4. Mad Max-Even though its not as large scale as the other films in the franchise, this movie works quite well when it comes to mixing together a post-apocalyptic setting, impressive action for the time, and a revenge angle it takes in the last section of the film to make for a solid directorial debut for George Miller
3. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga-A very well done edition to the franchise that has a large narrative, high energy Mad Max action, expansive world building, great imagery, and one of, if not my favorite performance from Chris Hemsworth
2. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior-While this movie might not work the best for those who’re watching these movies for the first time right now, this sequel builds on everything that works about the first film and makes for a fast paced, high energy piece of action cinema that I love
1. Mad Max: Fury Road-While I understand this movie not being for everyone, because it’s able to expand upon this world with a $150,000,000+ budget and twenty-first century aesthetics, I absolutely love this movie for its George Miller visuals, Tom Hardy as Max, and of course, its phenomenal action sequences from beginning to end
I genuinely love Thunderdome, because it was intended to be a story about Max regaining his humanity, hence the lighter tone, he essentially sacrifices himself to give these kids a chance at a better future, and the ending is honestly beautiful.
My ranking:
1- Road Warrior
2- Fury Road
3- Mad Max
4- Furiosa
5- Beyond Thunderdome
This list is the same as mine
You are worthy of Valhalla!
Personally I didn’t like the first mad max, it was disorganised until the last thirty or so minutes
WHAT A LOVELY DAY
Just saw it with my girlfriend so here’s my ranking:
1) Road Warrior
2) Furiosa
3) Fury Road
4) Mad Max
5) Beyond Thunderdome
Dude Furiosa WAS good! It was amazing to see how much George Miller has evolved since Fury Road. He’s bringing a lot of new techniques to the table, and it was amazing to witness.
Might be recency bias but my favorites are Fury Road and Furiosa.
Same, but I get why people would put Road Warrior at second.
Fury road when the punk rock spirit goes full heavy metal🤘🤘
1. Furiosa
2. Fury Road
3. Mad Max (Edit: The Road Warrior)
4. The Road Warrior (Mad Max)
Haven’t seen Beyond Thunderdome, and Furiosa likely benefitted from recency bias since it’s been years since I’ve seen the other three. Still absolutely love the four I have seen, feels like the John Wick series where there are no weak entries but they escalate in budget and scope. EDIT: Swapping Road Warrior and Mad Max because... I changed my mind and I think Road Warrior is better. Mad Max is a basic revenge movie, but Road Warrior is like proto-Fury Road which makes it better than most movies but not quite to the same level as the recent films imo.
Sir, this is the most accurate list ever created
Furiosa is definitly the worst.. its not about Max and it killed the franchise
@@easygrin1127 The only movie in the franchise that is "about Max" is Mad Max. Fury Road and The Road Warrior barely feature Max at all and those are the two entries that everyone loves.
@@easygrin1127 why does the movie in the mad max universe have to be about max
@@easygrin1127yeah u prob didn’t watch it 😂
Mad Max came out 2 yrs after Star Wars.
At the time, Star Wars was in the Guinness book of World Records as the "highest grossing" film of all-time, but Mad Max was recognized as the "most profitable" film of all-time. With a budget of around $350,000 it went on to make $100million worldwide!!
Our list is almost exactly the same with the exception of the 4th and 5th spots. Very nice.
1 - Furiousa
2 - Fury Road
3 - Road Warrior
4 - Mad Max
5 - Thunderdome
I heard furiosa wasn’t doing good at the box office, what a shame.
Yup , I know
Yeaah not doing great
Fury Road was a similar situation, that didn’t stop it from winning 6 Oscars.
@ultraviolet540 thankfully Furiosa isn't anywhere near that good (or even 'good' in general)
It killed the franchise
My ranking
5. Beyond thunderdome
4. The road warrior
3. Fury road
2. Furiosa
1. Mad max
LMAO
Honestly I feel like if we got Furiosa sooner it wouldn’t be doing as badly as it is. I want to see Tom Hardy as Max again as well
Same ranking as mine.
There was a time everyone considered Beyond Thunderdome the best of the bunch. Now it's the opposite.
I think this is a solid ranking. I also don't think there's ever been a bad Mad Max film. I find all of them entertaining.
1. Fury Road
2. Furiosa
3. Road Warrior
4. Mad Max
5. Thunderdome
This is the only correct one
1 Mad Max
2 Mad Max 2
3 Mad fury Road
4 Mad Max 3
My ranking would be the same except furiosa would in second. I really do think George miller has improved with the newer movies, they just have better world building, storytelling, characters, and better action obviously. I’m just happy he has gotten better with age
Perfect ranking I fully agree
Thanks for the great content Sean! My ranking is:
5. Furiousa: A Mad Max Saga. It’s a good movie but I hated the CGI and it kinda felt like MCU to me.
4. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. I agree with most of Sean’s criticisms but to me the the good way outweighs the bad and it gives me nostalgia.
3. Mad Max. I love that movie and the franchise that came after this movie created this badass world.
2. Mad Max: Fury Road. That movie really surprised me in how good it was. Charlize Theron was amazing but I do prefer more Mad Max in my Mad Max films.
1. Mad Max2(The Road Warrior). Easily my favourite of the franchise! Mel is on top 10 actors as well as top 5 directors!
Felt like the MCU? What is wrong with the MCU?
Imagine if Mel Gibson directed a Mad Max film
I think a good argument can be made for OG Max Max, Fury Road, and The Road Warrior being anyone's favorite. There's no wrong answer as far as those movies are concerned, and I've put each of them at the top at some point or another. I like all of them, but I agree Thunderdome is the weakest. For what's probably fairly considered a B-tier franchise, it's surprisingly consistent and a bit underrated. I'm kinda surprised that there hasn't been more Mad Max stories or at least more stories in this universe across more forms of multimedia. The best I can think of was that Mad Max game that got forgotten because it came out the same day as Metal Gear Solud V: The Phantom Pain back in 2015.
My current personal ranking is:
1. Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior - I think it's the most well-balanced of the bunch
2. Mad Max: Fury Road - not the best only because Tom Hardy isn't Mel Gibson. The fact I love it as much as I do makes Gibson's absence that much mire disappointing
3. Mad Max - almost put it at second because I love the indie punk rock vibe you mentioned
4. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga - wasn't really asking for a Furiosa backstory, but it was still pretty solid story with great action and worldbuilding
5. Mad Max: Thunderdome (great scenes, and I love everything in Barter Town, but doesn't fully come together imo
I like them all equally, but Max 1 is supper underrated, and so is Thunderdome.
Every Max film is different, that’s what makes them so good, Thunderdome is a very hopeful story, the ending is honestly beautiful.
Tbh I gotta say Furiosa is the best. It's got personality and more to it's story than Fury Road's long chase scene storyline.
I still need to watch Beyong Thunderdome. Maybe I should also give a second chance to the original movie and rewatch the 2nd to appreciate it even more.
#1 - Furiosa
#2 - The Road Warrior
#3 - Fury Road
#4 - Mad Max
#5 - Beyond Thunderdome
Not seen one from number 4 I’m keeping my expectations low though since I liked previous film.

3. Fury Road
4. Beyond Thunderdome
5. Furiosa
1. Road warrior
2. Mad max
3. Thunderdome
4. Fury road
5. Furiosa
I’m in the minority when I say I wasn’t big on fury road
My dad and I didn’t enjoy it compared to 1 and 2, but that’s really saying something because we weren’t big on thunderdome either
Same ranking on Letterboxd
1. Mad Max
2. Road Warrior
3. Fury Road
4.Thunder dome
There's only 3 Mad Max movies.
3.Thunderdome
2.Mad Max 1
1.Mad Max 2
Incorrect the only 3 are
3.Road warrior
2. Furiosa
1. Max max fury road
The rest are poorly written with anticlimactic final battles (looking at the first one) with shitty music
@@Nakedsnake36 Haha, that's a good one mate. I have to give it to you, if gen Z knows one thing it is to rile us up in a blink of an eye...
PS: Calling Brian May's score shitty music is such an invitation...
@@jovanjorgovan23 it is, it’s generic and bland compared to the newer ones that fill you with adrenaline and are absolutely recognisable
@@jovanjorgovan23 nostalgia really messed up your mind didn’t it?
@@Nakedsnake36 It's generic if you've seen it after 4 decades of knockoffs, it's exciting only if you're 12 and get a kick out of fast moving computer generated imagery. Recognisable only if you've never seen a move 300 for example. Or an Instagram filter...
1) Furiosa

Go see Furiosa!
My Honest ranking:
01. Mad Max
02. Road Warrior
03. Fury Road
04. Furiousa
05. Beyond Thunderdome
Sorry but I’ll have to disagree, the first movie was honestly garbage in my opinion, not enough buildup, not enough threat I. Terms of the villain, and the plot only gets good in the last few minutes
1 Mad Max
2 Thunderdome
3 Furiosa
4 Fury Road
5 Road Warrior
Road warrior #1
For me Mad Max 2 is the best. But yeah good list and I have a soft spot for Thunderdome tbh.
Furiosa was absolutely incredible I hope to god George muller continues to make more movies.
The Road Warrior is the best... movie ever.
The mad max video game had a decent story as well.
is the original worth watching
Fury road > thunderdome > road warrior > furiosa > mad max
No offense, but I have to disagree with putting furiosa higher than Mad Max 1...
I like them all equally 🤷♂️
Including Furiosa!
1. Road warrior
2. Beyond thunderdome
3. Mad max
4. Fury road
This last film is not a mad max film so i didnt rank it and it was garbage btw
Fury road over the road warrior are you kidding me
After seeing Fury Road, i wanted to be the fire-shooring electric guitar guy................... don't jydge me 😁
Road Warrior >>> the rest
My ranking:
1. Furiosa (Easily one of the greatest movies I've ever seen)
2. Fury Road (A+)
3. Road Warrior (A)
4. Beyond Thunderdome (B+)
5. Max Max (C)
M el Gibson is the original.
A lways an Australian staple.
G oing the extra Apocalypse mile.
A fterburn of Desert tribes/ war.
Furiosa was a big disappointment for me, comparing it to fury road
👍🏾😃🙏🏾
Furiosa is dead last bro wjat are you smoking?
Fyry Road and Furiosa was definitely the worst ones
Without the road warrior let's be honest this franchise ain't all that great
Furiosa isn't a Mad Max film. It's woke propaganda.
This is so wrong
1. Road Warrior
2. Fury Road
3. Mad Max
4. Furiosa
5. Thunderdome
Is the only right answer…💯
Same!
I love Thunderdome lol, it’s genuinely such a hopeful story, and the ending is beautiful.

I have only ever seen the first one with Mel Gibson 😮, but this one sounds and.looks really intriguing, tempted to go and see it at an IMax theatre 😮Thanks for your review, fr.🦘🐊🐨
