Does that firmware increase AEB capability to 5 frames in 48MP mode? In the video you state it only allows 3, but the latest user manual, page 104, states it shoots 3/5 AEB frames in both 12 & 48MP. Can you confirm? dl.djicdn.com/downloads/DJI_Air_3/UM/20231221/3/DJI_Air_3_User_Manual_v1.4_EN.pdf
@@DimmyV never used the AEB but after seeing your example and explanation, I’ll will add it to my toolbox. Also the bust seems like it could yield a few creative shots.
Excellent videos Demetrios. I purchased a Mini 2 in 2019 and November 2023, I purchased DJI Air 3. I jumped from Sbs 249 to less than 900 kg. I keep the Mini also as I flight mostly on recreational although I do have ST-ES both, 1 and 2. I'm still learning on Air 3 and your videos is helping me a lot. These were the ones I was looking for at YT, I had seen a lot of general videos but yours are specific one by, let's named, sections. I deeply appreciably and wish you could create more. The only thing is making me crazy is the RID. Although I put my date at Air 3, no app recognize it. Why? I do not know. Anyway, keep doing this great videos. Regards from Spain.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed them. You seem to had similar journey to me from Mini 2 to Air 3. It’s a wkd jump. More video will come in future but will have a new photography series. To change things up. Canada hasn’t got RID yet. Some countries in EU don’t require, depending on drone. I actually hope that information remains private and not public. No good will come of it. Will see you in the comments 🍻
Thank you Demetrios. here in EU (EASA) you must have it (AIR 3) and other bigger weight, no need (Sub. 249) except if you fly under Specific Category. I think it's part usefull, but the part related to privacy...not. I agree that security forces could have all info, but now, anyway with one app, could check where are you, who you are, which is your operator and dron data....... Let's wait and see what happen..@@DimmyV
I am a Part 107 UAS pilot and currently own two Skydio aircraft (a 2 and a 2+). The obstacle avoidance on these aircraft are superior to anything else available to the general public and, combined with the "keyframe" feature, it can complete what looks like an FPV flight and ... do it backwards. But, Skydio dumped its pro-sumer customer base. So, I am considering the Air 3 as the next step.
I never got a chance with the Skydio, oh well thats on them. The Air 3 is great drone though, you'll be happy with it. My 6 month review will be out next week 🍻📸
The latest firmware update for the AIR 3 allows for 48mp AEB and Burst Mode

Very helpful video!
Glad it was helpful! Which features do you use?

I use timed shots for capturing lightning.
Oooo thats interesting, how does it fair in the weather though as I assume the winds pickup. You must be using a more frequent timed shot right?
@@DimmyV auto captures every 2 seconds. Does super well in wind.
I still struggle with lightning shots. I usually just go into video mode, then record and pull a still frame. Edit from there.
@@stevenjoseph9979 I hear ya. If you can try and get the still frame as editing that will be a higher quality than a video frame.
