Its worth finding a way of putting your cig lighters sockets on a hidden switch as a gps blocker is only £15 on ebay that just plugs in
Firstly, and this is a biggy! Don't tell anyone other than someone you really trust where the tracker is!
Secondly, joining both cores of a twin cable is pointless, the rating for it is EXACTLY the same as a single core! You have to rate on failure scenario not actual pass amps capability, if one core is damaged you have the amp rating on a single core.
Might be a great idea to fuse it and make sure you say you have.
GPS through a alu roof is not great, so you want it ideally in direct sky visual or behind plastic.
I would never recommend any tracker that you can't self admin, been dealing with a few over the years, all self admin, so it looks good. GPS in Scotland is not always great, I think somewhere I have a trace of 264mph up a mountain side from the D1 300tdi auto... I wish it could do either... The mountain would have been more fun.
