- Vehicles from the Metropolitan Police Roads Policing Unit, escorting a Royal Air Force "Aeromedical Ambulance" and a Emergency Ambulance from South Central Ambulance Service into the Royal Free Hospital in northwest London.
The patient being escorted is a British Healthcare worker who contracted Ebola while working in Sierra Leone. 4 additional healthcare workers also contracted Ebola, 2 of them are believed to have arrived on the same plane as the one seen being escorted in this video, the other 2 remain in Sierra Leone. The patient in this video is being treated at a special high-level isolation unit at the Royal Free Hospital.

Some people asked why so many police escorted vehicle. There are two main reasons. One and most obviously, the patient is very ill. Second, the patient is a living biological weapon. Hoping he/she recovered.
George Kirubel Thats the most retarded thing I’ve ever read.
@Shaonnur Rhaman ???
George Kirubel I have Ebola they will chop off my head and leave me for dead
@@erbsmen 🤣🤣🤣
gross overreaction with so many vehicles. For point #2, was the patient provided security at similar levels all through their stay in UK?
The patient would have been in the RAF ambulance as they have the necessary isolation equipment.
Also, there was a helicopter up monitoring the escort.
Yeah I heard the helicopter 🚁
Biological weapon fabrication in Europe to kill the poor people in Africa 🦻
That's one BIG ambulance coming through!
You don't need sirens - just use the loud speaker and shout "Ebola" - I can guarantee that the traffic will move!!
Update - I am a doctor with extensive aeromedical experience, hence my suggestion as to what to do to enable a smooth ride!!
I have actually refused to transport an Ebola patient from Kenya to S Africa (where I was based) purely because the logistics of equipping pilots with Hazmat suits were too complex at that time (late 1990s) - in addition, it is almost impossible to safely isolate a patient who is on life support - the ‘isolation’ pods are not geared for things such as artificial ventilation of the patient.
You make me laugh.. your genius.
xD quoting Vincent from "Snatch" : "Never mind raising some pulses... You'll raise hell!!" lolol
what is ebola
Totally agreed!
For sure mate every1 will leave that place 😂😂
Dang, that really is something you don't see everyday! Hope the healthcare workers have a smooth recovery, their job really is the riskiest!
Just shows how good the NHS and British Police are in the UK.
The Video shows 1% from the Police
And the RAF
Does it really ?
Tom O'Rourke
Then they left him waiting on a trolly for 5 days.
@Mystkal Diamond you ignorant Liberal tin foil hat wearing fortnite playing son of a bitch ebola was not made up
Nice catch! God stay with the healthcare worker, bless him !
EmergencyManiac - Czech Emergency Responses Thank you!
***** To be fair the Prius driver probably didn't have a clue, suddenly surrounded by police bikes, none of whom offered them any diirection!
Gordon Campbell In the end the Prius acted as a police bike though! "I have no idea what to do, so I'll just do what they're doing and block the road for 'em!"
Hola buenos
@@fanyhacias1389 buenos noches
Wow, brilliant, rare catch. The patient certainly got ‘the works’. I’ve never seen that unmarked car type used, blocking the road with the bikes (I couldn’t tell the make or model). Well done.
Thanks👍
Law & Order.
That "unmarked" Toyota at the lights is a civilian, waiting for the lights to change. One of the outriders then instructs the driver to clear the junction, enabling the safe passage of the medical convoy.
At the end. "Do you know what's going on?" XD
Boshy they want to know about whats going on about this
Hohoho War how were they supposed to know, they're right next to them and just seen it drive past like they did lol
Just sooo epic to see, rather scary at the same time. Love the Aero Ambo and the Jumbulance like thing, (not a Jumbo, but looks like one) - both very rare.
Hope they make a full recovery, the last one did and we're all very happy for her! Much respect for what these people do. True heroes, all of them.
CobraEmergencyVideos I have to admit, my heart was racing watching this, you get the feeling of the seriousness of the situation. I also hope they make a full recovery!
Raf jumbolance amazing catch
She hasnt recovered admitted a few weeks back
I know right very sad :|.

Damn this looks serious 😳, especially with the sound of the helicopter
awesome to see the blue light services working together well done
They couldn’t do this for every Covid patient
This was Ebola, not covid, this also happens 4 yrs ago.
Let’s bear in mind that no matter where you sit on the fence about it, Ebola was much, much, *much* deadlier than COVID, and by Feb/March, it was pretty much everywhere.
Well, at least the COVID patients got a free ride through Horseman Coaches.
@@hullian1113 Exactly what I meant ;) Maybe didn't make it so clear though.
@@hullian1113 That's the main difference between Ebola and Covid. Ebola is deadlier, and Covid is more infectious - spreading so far and fast that it activated a pandemic.
Plus, some people and world leaders took Ebola more seriously than Covid.
Excellent catch!
The patient in that ambulance could have started an apocalyptic pandemic. They were also a kidnap target, as they're a living bioweapon. I hope they made a full recovery, which is possible with Ebola if it is treated in time :) x
Ebola is not that much of an issue because it does knock most people out before they can spread the virus to many other people. They might infect some but all over the number of infected people remains low.
@@paxundpeace9970Then explain why Ebola is level 4 on the deadliest diseases in the world. Which signals it's not something to be taken lightly.
She did it seems. Named Pauline something from Scotland.
london : can u escort ambulance ?

The Royal Free's a top-notch hospital. No wonder why they dispatched the patients there...
She was treated but it came back - but then she refused to isolate! She wasn't given a choice.
great vid mate
Cracking catch!!!
Very nice video!

One of THOSE days
Excellent capture!
LucianVideoEEV Thank you!
Nice vid!
don't you just think how serious Ebola is they need a ambulance police escort .
Prius had stealth mode on.
back when we thought ebola was a problem... good times
Ebola was a definite problem in Africa where it took place , that virus was wrecking massive havoc on Africa back then thank goodness the virus didn't spread to the entire planet like what happened with the CoronaVirus.
First ever Ebola patient was Pauline McCafferty from Scotland
Would be interesting to see how we would manage, if this became a major outbreak, I think the video would indeed be rare.
upper cut Well this convoy was to prevent an outbreak, which evidently was done well.
You got your wish
Haha, that aged well
Wierd seeing this now
Mint video!
BlueLight Tim Thank you!
Don't see that everyday.
JOSUE I LIKE YOUR VIDEOS

Update: "Pauline Cafferkey, the Scottish nurse who survived the deadly Ebola virus, has given birth to twin sons.
The 43-year-old worked as a volunteer in Sierra Leone, where an epidemic killed almost 4,000 people, in 2014.
The father Robert Softley Gale, a theatre director and disability campaigner, announced the news by posting an image of the newborns on Instagram."
Anything to get a day out of school
I was tested for Ebola when I came back from west Africa
That Kia Sportage looked stunning with the discreet blues.
The Yaris and the Galaxy… every time
Correction; the Prius and Galaxy
If they were THAT ill - wouldn't it have been safer, quicker and less expensive - to airlift them !
Maybe but an air ambulance wouldn’t have the isolation and security an RAF ambulance does
I don’t think the Royal Free has a helipad.
how do you know what was wrong
Never seen a RAF ambulance
Is it cureable yet
How do you know it was ebola,
Sad the patient had Ebola but overall, nice find !
alfie brown Thank you!
Wow!!!
wtf, nice catch dude
are they taking the patient to the special hospital.
You don't f--k around with Ebola.
Looks like something from a zombie movie
who else was confused SEG wasn't escorting this?
You don't need armed police to escort a medical convoy. SEG are for life threatening convoys of high ranking.
@@MASTERJJ1995 yes but that doesn't mean they wouldn't be escorting them and they probably are SEG riders its just that for this escort they are using standard met police bikes instead of SEG bikes since they need sirens in this instance
@@jamesevans938 If it were the SEG, you would know by their white bikes and Glocks on the hip. The SEG or SO14 are used specifically for high risk VIPs and are a very small group of highly trained armed officers. The "rules" are they are *only* used for VIPs that are highly likely to be attacked and only if they are on public business duties, so Boris can't borrow them for a night out or something. So for this escort, since it's not a VIP nor threat of an attack, it is definitely not a job for SEG.
The bikes that SEG uses have full police equipment too, they have sirens but they opt for whistles to avoid noise pollution of the VIPs, and to attract peoples attention as sirens may be too common.
Hopes this explains it.
Was this for nurse Cafferkey?
Nice containment?
How did you know this was occurring?
It's right by the Royal Free which has an infectious diseases unit, it was in the news at the time because a british healthcare professional was returning from treating patients in Africa and placed in quarantine upon arrival back in the country and escorted to the place where she could recieve the best treatment.
nice video
0:20 listen closely you can
hear a helicopter
Wow, really?
patients familly in the kia (like if you noticed)
I liked but didn’t notice 😂😂
When I am in dino daycare on roblox I use the boom box to put on MET sirens and I get kicked or warned for it. I bet they've never seen British police.
Yeah that’s fine
Cool bike
How did you know it was an Ebola patient? (I'm having to use my little bro's pc. Makes me look 4 years old lol)
Great video Viper! Long time I have not seen you, From United Kingdom
Poor person that’s unlucky
This was 5 year old now
What's eblola
Must be a VIP ;)
Big up Weng Wah House
As in most videos, BMW police cars play a large role. One might opine that they came in as "high performer and low bidder". JL
How does the person filming this know the subject is an ebola patient?
Was on the news numerous times, before they even got to the UK. Also, the Aeromedical Evacuation kinda gives it away, they deal with a lot of highly infectious tropical diseases.
All of that for an Ebola patient?
There was even a helicopter
Merk S news?
Dan The Dangerous Pig Nah we're not allowed News helicopters flying around in England, it was a police one.
Epic
Love those bmw motorcycles
Two Ambulances in case one breaks down
+malcolm wilson Or for extra equipment and stuff if needed
liked the undercover/unmarked Kia
Was it the Kia sportage
Burke B Retirees with blue lights. Well that's dangerous
How do you know its ebola it could be something different
This was Ebola at the time. It was filmed at the same time that the news reported the arrival of an Ebola patient to the UK.
Weapon of mass destruction on wells 🥵🥵🥵. There’s just one patient , imagine an outbreak 😷!!!!
We have an outbreak
But it's not ebola
wow😱
ok

GTA V: The season of The Rozzers. But on Amazon for only £99.99.
Guys: That's not an Armed Police BMW. Armed police vehicles have tell-tale Yellow Stickers on the window. This one doesn't. If that's not enough for you, note the driver and front passenger are not wearing any body armour or hats or anything that an armed officer might usually wear.
Why are there more than an ambulance?
+Sultan Salah Al Din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub A deadly disease of such high contagiousness requires security. It would be disastrous if something happened and ebola was released to the public.
+AMCT 101 I know Ebola is a deadly virus. But I was surprised by the number of ambulances.
Anyway, thanks!
Sultan Salah Al Din Yusuf Ibn Ayyub maybe transporting doctors?
Maybe just in case, if the other one breaks down.
Yeah sure let’s get the Ebola guy through the most populated city in the country
They were next to the Royal Free hospital, one of the best in the area, if not country. So yes, it makes sense they were there.
1:04 why was an armed response escorting 3 ambulances?
Because you never know what kind of sick freak would break the ebola patient out, take some bodily fluids and infect half the country.
What was with the Armed response unit BMW X5
Amazing catch but it's a real shame there's such a horrible story that goes with this
StormsGalaxy Thank you! Yeah as nice as it is seeing these vehicles it's terrible under these circumstances and hopefully won't see this too often. It's heroic what our aid workers and volunteers are doing out there.
yes, it really is
StormsGalaxy cant help but agree
Hell fucking no bro why you recording I would run for my life
Why do you need a escort when she is not a prisoner all she needs is to go in a ambulance
Ebola is one of the most contagious and deadliest diseases on Earth. That person was a living biological weapon. Mistakes were out of the question, and this was to be taken seriously as it can get.
I saw that!!!!!!!!!
