I'm more bothered about the system. Why does a convicted man need to be taken out of prison and taken to court for sentencing? Its cheaper and easier if they just call him within the prison and hold a video conference of the court taking place, like it was the case with the courts during covid and lockdown anyway. Otherwise its more costly, timely, and he has to be transported more times

@@Mateusz7821 I kind of agree with you but if you know Manchester the court is only 5 minute in a car from the prison if that. My thing is the prisoner should be made to stand up in front of the murder victims family and face the music. It’s the least he can do. Take it like a man. He thought he was a big hard man going around ready to shoot people with a gun after all

I'd spotted the bikes first as I was going the other way and saw them blocking a side road and layby. I'd guess probably close to 30 officers in total and at least half of that armed given the types of vehicles (the cars were of the type they used as combination ARV and traffic)..

if people got to this guy, like they very might well want to, before he's tried, and faced prosecution, before he's had his day in court, like we all get, that is called injustice. It's to keep the unthinking mob and have already sentenced him without evidence that would probably get to him and kill him. Then what? Those vigilantes go to jail? And what about all the falsely accused that more vigilantes would take down before they got justice and a trial which the entirety of modern society is built on? Think of that? And if the public did that then all the criminals know they can easily do if for their mates before their mates are tried. Think of that? Any of that? These are all lessons learned from past mistakes, this is the cost of justice, it's not protecting a murderer, it's protecting the justice system from unthinking lump heads and sending a message to criminals and vigilantes whose self-righteous ire would make everything a million times worse if allow to be practiced.

With operations like this, people are often held in different prisons, even police stations around the UK to throw people off. The convoys you see are often for show and have no prisoners in the vans. I have seen old builders vans, a BT van and Iceland home delivery van with a cage in the back and a black taxi - all used to carry prisoners covertly. They're often where they need to be a day or two before they need to be to avoid any attacks or breakout attempts. There was a rumour that a station in Liverpool had this type of holding cell underneath it and many buildings have "secret" rooms, so if people do get in, they will not get that far.
All rumours by the way, but those that know will know what I am on about.
