Who Will Accept the Delicate Flower In Hollow Knight?

- In Hollow Knight, there is an NPC named the Grey Mourner who will give you a mask shard if if you deliver her delicate flower to the Traitor's Child grave in the Queen's Garden. It is possible to get more flowers AFTER delivering the flower to the grave and collecting your mask shard from the Grey Mourner.
Once you go back to the Traitor's Child grave, a new flower will show up. There are 4 NPC who will accept the flower and 2 NPC that you can offer the flower to for some bonus dialogue:
1. Grave of the Traitors' Child
2. Elderbug
3. Godmaster Icon Nailmaster Oro
4. Godmaster Icon The Godseeker
These 2 NPC will give new dialogue but will not accept the flower
A. Eternal Emilitia
B. The White Lady
Note that there are three ways for the flower to be destroyed:
- Taking any damage
- Riding the Stagways
- Using the Hidden Dreams Icon Dreamgate

He's my favorite character. I just love how always full of hope he is and really hope to see more of him in Silk Song. The fact that his name changes from last stag to old stag also fills me with joy.

Of course, it wouldn't be possible anyway unless you were able to no-hit Troupe Master Grimm and give it to him after the fight.....

@@RelyeaGaming I've beat him on Radiant difficulty in Godhome, but the first time I beat him, I'd never have been able to no-hit him. It was only after I was able to beat NKG that I was able to beat Grimm without getting hit.

I bet it's because of a safeguard against save-scumming the flower quest, i.e somebody sitting on the Queens Garden bench, walking over to the resting grounds, accepting the flower and loading back to Queens Garden.
probably since you sat on bench which destroys flower, either that or since it counted as a dream warp in a way
The White Lady is one of my favorite NPC's. Letting the Knight talk to their mom makes them feel a lot less alone in this world
I like that a lot too
Also, she has A LOT of different quotes and gives a lot of information about the lore of HK

@MABWD9 wrong. The shrine is to you, you are her White Saviour, she literally writes stories about you rescuing her, sitting next to her on the bench, going into her house while she sleeps. Until you rescue zote and he badmouths you to the town and tells her a bunch of stories, so she begins to instead fixate on the Grey Prince.
Until you beat zote in his dreams a whole bunch, and she snaps out of it. And declaring you a beast and he diminished, she heads off to find true love.
She has a new boyfriend :c
She has a shrine of zote, she deserves nothing

hollow destroyer if you go through and clear all the enemies and then come back without sitting on a bench the enemies won’t respawn and you can take the flower through

I was hoping for more flower character interactions at some point after Godmaster came out. It would add a lot of replayability. Give it to Myla to save her from the infection, give it to Willoh and she Hides it up in her nook, give one to Cloth to save her from the Traitor (or maybe you could lay the flower next to Cloth's body and she can say something like "Nola will love this flower, thank you").
I would love to see some new easter eggs. Like, instead of hitting the Pale King's body, you can set a flower on it. Then when you return to the room, his body will be gone, along with the flower.
They added a few interactions but not too many with godmaster
I'd like that too. I want to give one to Marissa. I think she'd appreciate it since all of hers are dead.

I think the flower has something related to the little bug that destroys the Seal of Binding in Silksong's intro.

Two things:
First, the White Lady is such a cutie! She deserves the flower.
Second, what if you could give the flower to the Absolute Radiance for an extra ending? But, of course, the only way to do that is to make it through the 5th Pantheon without getting hit. . . Good luck
You fight the hollow knight and the radiance with the delicate flower equipped, would be extremely difficult to to since its basically a no hit run at that point, get a super secret ending, that'd be awesome
The elder bug one is enough to make a grown man cry and that’s ok

Yeah PoH is quite the challenge. I can get to absolute Radiance, but then he just destroys me. Perhaps equally as hard is radiant Markoth-it’s just ridiculous.

You just have to leave the area and come back, Elderbug is just frightened from it but eventually gets used to it and goes back to the bench. You don't have to defeat the Grimm troupe for Elderbug to go back to the bench.
The only person I’ve been able to give it to is elder bug and the grave

Seeing as none of the endings really go well for Ghost(turning into an eldritch being of pure void, becoming one with the entirety of the void or being locked up in the egg hopefully sealing the radiance forever or being doomed to repeat the cycle)I can't really imagine. I don’t think any other NPC acknowledges that you have the flower. Maybe later I can visit every NPC and try to deliver

Ghost should be able to give a flower to Hornet, bc they killed her mom and it's the least they can do to make up for it

I've unlocked all 3 dream seals and still havent talked to Elderbug. He used to wave at me, but that stopped a while ago. Finally gonna acknowledge him by giving him the Delicate Flower and hope something cool happens...

I’ve actually done these and it’s SUPER hard but if you use the invincibility you can’t take damage so you can get over there very easily

Damn, I wish I had the mods you got to fast travel without breaking the flower. I've gotten so mad at that quest, those spikes at the end was where almost every attempt ended. I almost cried every time ngl Relyea

Yeah it could be the White Lady refers to the flower (and thus the beloved Knight) originating in Farloom, but they might be talking about another place to keep it mysterious
You don't have to beat the Grimm Troupe you just have to talk to Grimm in the tent and then Elderbug is next to the bench

when I wanted to give the flower to the Elder, clicked on the dialogue, I decided to check if it could be given to Nimm or Brett, in the end I did not give it to either the first or the second, and the elder does not accept it anymore
