Dear Mr.Maurer, Vielen Dank! My daughter (6) was given a big challenge to play this song at recital in a casual weekend music school. She has only started learning the violin last year and is still working on a lot of basics. It's a big leap from what she's capable of and so we were stuck. We're so glad to have discovered your channel, your play-along has been helping her a lot.
In the last 2 weeks, my daughter changed from calling you a "funny-looking man" (I apologize for her) to respectfully addressing you as "Mr. Maurice" just as she addresses her school teachers. Her little eyes twinkle with amusement every time she watches you play.
Maybe for now, playing at tempo 58 with loads of scratchy/ muff tones and hectic bowing is my daughter's current best but your video keeps encouraging her to play better (we still have two weeks to recital optimistically thinking😉). We will buy notes from you for other songs -probably choosing something easier and really, thank you so much!😊
