x≈1+2×0.477/0.699≈551/233≈2.365
Deviation is about 0.0004
5^2.365≈44.985

Faster x=log base 5 of 9 + 1

I'd just go for blunt
x * log(5) = log(45)
x = log(45) / log(5) = 2.365212389
