+Music is life For samples, panning in the mixer merges the left and right channels to the panned channel, but panning in the channel rack does not merge them (this is actually a balance control). For VSTs it seems to depend on the VST and I don't see a particular pattern. I've considered making a video about this, maybe I should.
could you make a Video of how to get a real snare drum sounding clear and punchy in the mix? ( if you didn't already) your making great and helpful videos, keep it up:)

hey man! first of all i love ur vids! second, could you do a tutorial about how to layer and mix progressive house tracks? cause sometimes when i make progressive my synths dont fit together, or i take out so many "bad" frequenties that it sounds too empty.. thanks
+daan weijzen the problem you're most likely having is that you're creating your synth without any frequency limiting, so as a result your good synth gets the "goodness" taken out of it.

Compression. Use the "Drums" preset on Fruity Compressor. Should do the job.

Can you name that plugin name showing meters
It's WaveCandy using the "Meter" option. WaveCandy comes with FL Studio.
There's no way to deactivate that panning law in FL Studio 12 like in FL Studio 10 / 11?
+Surce Corleone Setting the panning law to be Triangular in FL 12 has the same effect as turning the circular panning law off in earlier versions.
