Top management failed. They saw the data & did nothing other than give themselves bonuses. 50 mil for the CEO & look where we are! They’re a disaster. Workers have to keep up w/ living expenses. There’s no excuse for irresponsible management.
Once I had to Canada Post to actually deliver my package that was too heavy for me to lift which is why I chose to have it delivered through the delivery option. It literally threw them so much a manager from another location had to call me and schedule the delivery where I had to take the package off the vehicle myself. Apparently the delivery driver had a back injury and they still wouldn’t have someone else deliver things instead. What a gong show! I was afterwards known as a pushy/bossy customer. not impressed. However they deliver all my packages now instead of pretending I’m Not home and leaving a pick up notice after the 1st of what should be 3 attempts.

The last time Canada Post struck I said never again would I use them. There are certain companies that only use the mail and I request they use a courier at my cost. If they won’t courier it at my cost I won’t buy from them. Incidentally, I purchased 95% of my Christmas gifts this year through Amazon, which uses the Scene points system. I started buying in September and I now I have $100 in Scene points which I will use at the grocery store when I do my Christmas Day dinner shopping.
Get new employees who appreciate a decent wage and benefits!! Canada Post took money to provide a service and they are in breach of contract every customer who handed goods to them and prepaid for their service. It’s the clients waiting who are suffering. I have a winter coat and boots and eye medication stuck in transit probably very close to home. I had been watching these items in tracking. This is so rotten and there were other items in Black Friday sales that I NEED but wasn’t going to wait months for. This is dirty rotten greed and no consideration for clients who PRE-PAID for delivery service.

Its the union that pays the workers for striking. They make 5.6 million a month from union dues. I work for Canada Post and I pay $102 a month for fees. 55000 employees. 55000 x 102 = 5.6 million per month.
