Wow! I just found you, and I'm binge watching and making cards. I thought the first round and leaf looked great! While you were moving them around, it popped into my head what a great branch and ornament that would make on a Christmas card! I love love love your style! Thanks so much - Monica

Stunning results, Lorraine. I love to see how your creative process includes trouble-shooting something that didn't work as expected (happens to me cutting glass, too!)
Yes, it does happen to us all and I think it's important to share that fact and strategies for moving forward. It kind of is a fun challenge for me. Besides, like your glass, you don't want to waste materials, right? "Make lemonade!"
Absolutely brilliant, and no wastage, whatsoever, LOVE that! Really appreciate your "easy" style of teaching and the variety of ideas that are "think outside the box". Keep on keeping on and may you be abundantly Blessed in return as you freely give out to others of your Creative Gift!
Hi Christine! Thank you so much for taking time to write such a complimentary comment. You are so sweet. I am thrilled that you enjoyed this and hope you enjoy my other videos as well. I appreciate the feedback as to what people like so I can continue to support crafters and fulfill their needs. I hope you stay in touch!
I'm glad you like this. Thanks for your suggestion, but with the stitching around the leaf I don't think it would look right, and with the intricate curves of the leaf I might not be able to get smooth and clean cuts. I just found a way to work around it. 😉
This is my first time to watch and I love your cards! I'm a StampinUp discount shopper from Canada and am addicted to watching card-making videos. I love your style.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comments. Yeah.... addiction is easy! Sometimes you can never get enough. Have fun with your creations and I hope to continue to inspire you. Subscribe and stay tuned!😊
Lorraine, this is a great video. When you were speaking about the plan of the card, I could not envisage it. However, as the video progressed, it started to manifest what you had described. I love this card and can see it would be great for younger people as well. The colours really compliment each other so well and the gold leaves - WOW really made it pop. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you, Lori. They were really fun to make. Once you get more into clean and simple, it gets easier. Just have to remember to always hold back and resist the urge to keep adding more! :-)
I love this video. The results are stunning! And using left overs is such a creative way to make additional cards. I’m in a need to order stuff phase, so seeing how you’ve used some of these items gives me an idea or two. And I’m also using strips and other shapes right now, but sure love the look of floating element! Project for tonight! Good excuse to watch Murder She Wrote! Thank you!
What a lovely bunch of cards! Thank you for the tutorial! I really appreciate that you share the problems that arose. I’ve had die cuts that didn’t work and I love your solutions. That leaf looks fabulous. I did several similar to your negative with the wheat sprig.
So pleased you showed how easy the sticky backing was, as I have just received some to work with delicate items such as intricate sentiments etc. Where do you get your foam strips and foam sheets from please

Really like the way you use every bit of your striped base. Glad I caught your video,I subscribed to you too. Curious to what you do next. Thanks for sharing
At 2:35 is your square acetate piece secured to a piece of white copy paper? Or white cardstock? I can’t tell. I admit I haven’t watched all the way to the end yet but I understand how all the upcoming steps are done.
Hi Carol. I'm glad you asked. The white paper you see is just what comes with the acetate (window sheet) to separate the sheets in the package and keep them from getting marked up. I left it behind as I made the card so that it is easier to see the window sheet and it continues to protect the back of it. Look at 7:30 and you will see I left that white paper behind before I did the die cutting.
Hi! Thank you so much. I'm glad you like my cards. All the products I use are from Stampin' Up! If you live in the U.S. you can shop my online store at lorrainecich.stampinup.net. if you live elsewhere, you might be able to find a demonstrator in your area.
I apologise if I go over or ask questions that you do addressd here: I just couldn't follow the whole video. Do the dots on the back of that "die" mean it imprints instead of cutting. I have a punch actually, that imprints (deeply) but doesn't actually cut what is inserted. Interesting though, as I have not encountered this type before :-).
Thanks for watching! 😊 Good question. Some of the dots actually cut, and some of them are for helping to poke the paper out once it is cut. Very handy!
@@stampwithlorraine5074 Not to belabour the point but it helps me learn too. I think those dots are only designed to imprint and therefore are shaped the way they are. I have never seen dots like those on an actual die before, which is why my reasoning is this way. Even those dies designed to cut into the cardstock, instead of providing a die cut piece, have solid cutting edges (not dots). Some things are so obvious and through the years advertised accordingly, and there are other 'items' that are old/er or new to the market and not fully caught on or are obscure. I love your work :-).

Hi your cards are very beautiful, loving your ideas. I am just starting off card making and maybe you can give me an idea, should I get a die cutting machine, embossing machine, or the Cricut or Silhouette ? Which would be the best recommendation for a beginner card maker ?
Hello Saffia! Thank you so much for your comment. So glad you like my cards and ideas. I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and only use (and sell) Stampin' Up! products. Fantastic cards and so many great tips! So glad this popped up on my recommended videos!
Thank you, Marsha! These are fun and some of my favorites to make. I hope you try some as well. Thanks for watching. 😊
I really like how you use every element of the scraps. These are very nice.
Thank you! I find it a creative challenge.
You could cut the leaf in your base and put the stripes inside to show where the leaf is cut out.
Yes, thank you, Bettye. That certainly could be another good option. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
Great job Lorraine!! ⭐️. Great ideas!!

Great cards Lorraine, thanks for sharing!

The fall colored circle would make a great all decor cut out of wood and painted with a wheat design cut in a larger version. Loved your cards.
