A Hinge Closure Card That Will Really Catch Someone’s Eye

- This fun fold starts out almost like a standard card, but then an element is added that resembles a hinge that wraps from the back to the front of the card. I created a small feature where the “hinge” can tuck into so it stays closed.
All products used are from Stampin’ Up! I have been a demonstrator since 2003 and would love to help you with your order if you don’t already have a demonstrator. Feel free to visit my online store at lorrainecich.stampinup.net.

Every card you make is gorgeous because of the colors and choices of the DSP you’ve made. Thank you.

Wonderful cards and tips! I've never made a card this way before, but I certainly will! Thank you so much! I was learn at least one new thing, sometimes more with every tutorial I watch! 😊

Really love this fold. Beautiful.
Thanks so much 😊 It is a fun one.
Beautiful cards!!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I love all the cards!
Goodness!! I JUST discovered you, Lorraine, and I'm so happy I did. Your detailed videos are EXACTLY what I need. There's a website called Cooking for Engineers, and your channel reminds me of that--very specific details. And you manage to answer questions before we even think to ask them. I prefer longer videos--no assumptions that your audience already knows so much. THANK YOU! 💕
Thank you so much, Marguerite! You are so kind. There are many types of stampers and abilities out there, and I try to play to the middle, so to speak. I try to balance interest for more avid stampers and instruction for less experienced stampers. I'm glad you found me and my videos work for you! Stay tuned!😊
Hi Lorraine I love all your videos I am new to your channel thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful ideas and also I love your your craft room.
Thank you so much, Lucy! It was so nice of you to take a moment to comment. Welcome to my channel and I hope you can continue to enjoy!
Really like this card and the “catch” on the side!
Thank you Pauline. I really felt it needed it. Glad you like it.
Yes and I’m enjoying them!
Thanks!
Love it rattled one up today but instead of the flower stopper I put a slit in the card and that works well.
Thank you, Ros! I noticed that you tried this card. Good idea for the slit too!
Oooooo pretty! I much prefer a closure as well -- it gives the card a nice, finished look. Thanks!
Thank you! 😊 I appreciate your feedback.
Wow! You are so creative! Love your paper crafting skills and so appreciate you sharing them! Beautiful card!

Beautiful cards! I really love the idea of keeping the flap down. And the leaves, and that adorable bee make it really cute.
Thanks so much, Nancy! Get creative with things to hold down the flap! I think they are cute too.

@@stampwithlorraine5074 If I were a social media person, I would definitely join in. I've sworn off all social media and my only regret is the lovely cardmaking sharing that is going on - I know I'm missing it! Thanks for posting to TH-cam though....there's so much wonderful inspiration here.

Love ❤️ the hinge cards. Thanks for going slow with your instructions
Thank you, Donna. I appreciate your feedback on the pace of my video. I try to "teach to the middle" and not go too fast or too slow. I also try to cover the bases for any beginners who may be watching.

first time watching...hi!
Hi Pat! Welcome. I hope you enjoy my tutorials and are inspired to create your own projects.
TFS!
Hi Nancy, thanks for watching.
Another great tutorial Lorraine. Can you tell me the name of the dies used on the yellow card with “little things you do etc” is called please. Going tohave to give this one ago also. Thanks.
Thank you! The little leaf die is from Poppy Moments, and the closure dies used were from the retired set Nested Labels dies. Thanks for watching!
@@stampwithlorraine5074 thank you for quick reply.
@@leonenowfel149 you're welcome. I didn't mention they were Stampin' Up! I sometimes x order to mention that and assume people know. 😆
@@stampwithlorraine5074 I realised that but was hoping dies were still available as I have been trying to get that sort of die here in Australia and on line and having trouble. Thank you again for your videos. I am working my way through them. Stay safe.
What's a dsp?
It stands for Designer Series Paper, the double sided patterned paper from Stampin' Up! Sorry for NY confusion. I should remember to clarify that.
Always not was!
Not sure what this means....
That's beautiful
Thank you, Shirley!
