A young traveler is walking up to the side valley from the lowland where his nomadic tent is pitched, where the sun and moon ride high, the pristine ecology of the inner world of beings and the outer of world of nature are closely knitted, he expresses his joy at the sight of beautiful things around him. The long history of Ngari, its kind, peaceful and good-natured inhabitants, its natural environment, and its unique features are described in an evocatively vivid manner.
This song is the vertebra of all Ngari Songs and Dances, the one who knows this song will be easily able to learn minimum of fourty to fifty Songs from across the region of Ngari Rong, Bdrok and Yul. It is the magical quality of it.

Such high-quality professional music video of Traditional songs is a first of a kind in the Tibetan Diaspora, with the personal investment of time and resources showing his passion and dedication toward preserving and promoting traditional songs. Gen Passang Tsering la was my Teacher in the late nineteen nineties. He was one of the kindest teachers; I have never seen or heard of him striking a student in the highly prevalent corporal punishment era.
Since 2013, I have listened to all his recordings of traditional Ngari songs, and he heavily influenced many younger people like me. From 2018 onwards, we worked together in researching, translating, and promoting traditional Western Tibet culture through music and vocal art. He is resourceful, progressive, and open to constructive feedback.
Traditional songs' lyrics or compositions maintain vital language and cultural essence. His work in lyrical research and Rigzin Dawa’s English translations of classic pieces are admirable. Such inclusive projects inspire younger generations to connect with their roots and encourage them to learn more about their culture.
I look forward to many more projects like this to resurface.
