    Thank you. I just told my wife I was going to try the 21st Century and look for a video like this... exactly like this. You saved me an hour of head scratching time. Thank you again.

    Really glad the video helped. When I was having this issue there was nothing on TH-cam explaining how to fix it.

    This fixed our 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo's turn signal/hazard light problem. Just jiggled the relay a bit and it started to work again like magic.
    Thank you so much!

    Thanks to you and you tube. It took me about 30 min (including the 10 min that I spent gloating to the Family). I got lucky and it started working when I wiggled it to get the relay out. No soldering or $65. part. Sweet!!!! Feeling safer on the road.

    I guess you have a shop that is totally honest and knows every little detail about every single car! I have had 52 vehicles, have about 8 in my hands at all times so I deal with mechanics shops etc all of the time and they are not always correct!

    My sister had the same problem. Thanks for the info to remove that lower panel. I removed the cover of the relay and re-soldered the connections near the lugs. Solved the problem. Chrysler made sure to put it in a difficult place. It should have been mounted near the fuse panel with easier access.

    woops and that was the Jeep dealer that is suppose to know about their own product, so before you jump someone or try to call someone out, you should us your common sense if you have any and keep your comments to yourself!
    BTW kufta03 thanks for your time and effort on this that has most likely saved a huge chunk of money to many as shops either don't know what they are looking for, or want to say it's one thing and charge an arm and a leg for it.

    I've got an 88 cherokee XJ project i'm working on & when I turn on either blinker it just turns on the 4 ways. Would this be a bad relay? I already replaced the flasher relay (before they would just stay lit & not blink). I saw a video with a similar problem & he fixed it by buying the pigtail connector, cutting the wires to the lights, testing each wire & splicing them to the new connector (maybe that would work?). There are a lot of splices in the engine bay so it may be that too. Anyone have any ideas/advice?

  • @teds4983

    Same problem here. Its weird on mine. When the blinkers dont work it seems like nothing does with the computer. Or i should say when i tried to get a inspection it happened and he couldn't do it cause the computer acted like it wasn't hooked up to anything if that makes sence. I had to wait for it to work again and hurry and get a sticker. Pretty dumb. So thanks a lot for the video.

    you replace the relay if your left blinker starts going out, you replace the multifunction stalk if your headlamps come on and off like just a ghost thing when you not even touching the jeep or have it on anything.I ran all of the tests 2 days ago!

    Heck just two months ago the dealer diagnosed a new ignition switch for a 2001 Grand Cherokee and the problem was they had not cut the key, well 3 keys correctly, I took it to a great locksmith, he cut new keys it worked great and I let the dealer know that they were incorrect and showed them,

    Hi Kfta03, I had the same problem however it also causes my a/c fan to stop working at the same time. my mechanic had to replace mini fuses and they kept blowing would you have any idea of where to go next to figure out why mini fuse blows them both out? Thanks and great video

    • @kufta03
      @kufta03  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had that similar issue. I took my battery out and there was a hose that was not connected. Once i reconnected that my AC worked great.

      I have an update. It is a common problem, the wires from the fuses run under car and by transmission pan, they can get worn and fray which is what happend to mine I had to lift car and get under there to wrap the wires to keep them from rubbing on a bracket. That was the reason for short.

    • @carloscocojr

      Madge McCoy the wiring is it on the driver or passenger side? this just happen to me today..

    I got mine out without removing the cover, took the relay apart and resoldered the contacts inside. They get hot and the solder melts.

  • @kufta03
    @kufta03  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @AlienableRight don't know what to tell you. Every place I took it to and told them the blinkers didn't work they called me back in 30 min and told me they are working. They said it seemes like a short some where because they would work for a while then stop. What I did fixed the problem.

  • @outbackdigital
    @outbackdigital 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I found that if you pull out thhe relay and open it , there will be a crack in the circuit board which you can solder the joint and the relay will work again
    then just tape or glue it back up again, saves 60$

    You might have a short some where. If you already replaced the relay and replaced the whole blinker on the column you might be out of luck and will have to take it to a garage. Sorry the video didn't help you. Best of luck!!

  • @johnlawrence3434
    @johnlawrence3434 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The point of the video is how to replace a turn signal relay in a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Who cares if his story is believable. That is how you replace your turn signal relay, this video shows people who don't know how to do it. I just had the same problem with my '94 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Did what this video showed, problem solved. Don't be a dick.
