As you pointed out these are definitely 501st Phase 1 Troopers then being clone lieutenant. The flashback itself was a scene from the clone wars movie which by then they had phased out color based ranking. This Trooper Goes well with Echo and Fives almost completing the Citadel Arc. Now all we need is Phase 1 Rex, Although getting Denal Would be great as well.
The helmet is nice and more in scale, but id have liked an included head sculpt as well, i think hasbro are making cut backs when it comes to things like this. It would be nice to get some extra accessories too, such as droid poppers, binocs, data pads etc to go with certain clone figures.
I think that the intent behind the release was for a phase 1 501st. A little while ago there was a Hasbro Q&A for black series where one of the employees was talking about that black series phase 2 332nd & phase 1 Lieutenant two pack, and the guy said that it’s meant to be a phase 1 501st trooper but the marketing team thought it would confuse people since there was already a phase 2 501st trooper in the line. I have to assume the same applies to TVC 😁
I didn't realize this guy had a new head until I had it in hand. I like it much, much better. I ordered several more. I tried all kinds of surgery on the first Ph1 release, but it just never looks right. Yes, let's get an all white 4 pack post haste.
If Baylon and Shin don't get re-stocked by Star Action soon, I may get a couple of these troopers. This is my favourite Clone Trooper armour and this figure looks great!
Good day from Canada! I watched your vid, and you absolutely nailed it, again. Present fig has all the characteristics of a P1 501st. I mean, just the colour: its off! Never have we seen a Lt with such a dark blue tint. Also, on your reviewed fig, the straight blue line marking on the front of the helmet, that does not go all the way down it another tell tale. Finally, the 4 dots missing... Great review, great comparison. What explains this? Ignorance? 'Hasbro's Don't give a sh***t' attitude or approach? Lack of knowledge? Disappointing.
I think Hasbro, will probably make a news related update where they correct the name. Has happened before in the past.....also i have the skinny clone and saga lengends clone, both have the baby blue that match the film ATOC

Yeah it’s 100% a 501’st clone. Clone troopers during that time had already moved away from the AOTC ranking system as we can see many 501’st and 212th clone troopers in the clone wars movie which the Ashoka flash back takes us back to
It's technically both, at the time of the flashback in Teth, clone Sargents, Lieutenants, captains etc had their squad colours rather than their rank colours, while the grunts were still fully white

Many officers, and some regular troopers, had switched over to using the blue striping of the 501st and, on Teth, all of the blue striped clones are officers (sergeants and lieutenants) in Torrent Company. So, while the blue stripes on this figure don't mark him as a lieutenant, the specific trooper pictured on the cardback likely was one of the four lieutenants within Torrent.
Wont lie, I did a double take when I saw the Ahsoka card, especially when he was labeled "lieutenant", maybe they were intending to re-release this figure with a TCW card??
All I want from hasbro is a proper scale removable helmet and rigid plastic weapons. Is that too much to ask for? Joytoy has managed to master the production of non bendy weapons in the 3.75 scale so why can't hasbro crack it?
People who got the first phase 1 clone should get refunds because of what they delivered with this one. That helmet on the first version was disappointing
Im very disappointed with this new clone body. It bugs me a lot that the elbow and knee pieces of the armor are attached to the brassard and greave respectively. The helmets and the proportions are also weird. Articulation aside, anthena mold is still the best. 🤦♂️

this is just a regular 501st clone trooper there are several running around in the flashback, this is just hasbro not knowing the source material
