I've been considering purchasing Super 55. When you hang ribs using this hanger do they touch the baffle plate? If I can't hang ribs it's a no buy for me.
No sir, The designer lowered the heat shield from the former design so the baffle is lower. Thus there is between an 18 to 19 inch clearance. I used to promote the PBC. Did some of the first content on that product and that was directly touching the fire at times BUT the ribs would tighten up and shrink and not touch the fire for long. On the Super 55 a rack never touches the baffle. Not that i have seen.
