Dave you and your crew are getting so good at this! I know that you all have worked many hours to collect , separate and categorize everything. This is a huge haul. Well done everyone! Dave you are so kind connecting with folks in the yard!😊 you can’t help but ring this guys bell! Great video! This new metal recycling place is great with their dumping of the barrels capabilities! The staff is so nice! Thanks so much! Damn Dave, you even found a fan! I am so grateful that you show this recycling process. Demos are necessary but sad to me that a house or building needs to be demoed. At least with the recycling it all doesn’t need to be land filled.
First I wanna give all the workers unloading the trucks a W for the win. Awesome Job! Second here's prices in Chattanooga TN where I live....bare bright $3.77lb, #2 $3.29lb, #1 insulated wire $2.07lb, #2 insulated wire $1.29lb, dirty aluminum $.77 lb. Just for your info scrap yards more than double their price given to customers. With your volume you should buy or start a scrap yard and make 100% of the profit..
Love these scrapyard videos. It would be interesting seeing how the yards eventually remove the covering off of the insulated copper wire and how they process the compressors.
We need more space at our shop to get better organized. The shop space where we are is wildly expensive. We have out grown our current location for several years now.
@removeitprosdemolition thanks Dave enjoyed the trip be waiting for next one what got me they said prices were down and not knowing the market that's why I guess like I did happy you got about what you got last time they treated you well again glad about that think you found a new home for scrap
Personally I enjoy the variety of videos. From tearing down houses and to showing us the store (don’t live anyone remotely close) to dealing with the scrap yards.
I always felt that the green pieces of copper being different from the rest was nonsense. It melts just the same. There's no solder or different metal in it,but I guess it's up to the yard.
Why don't u guys have everything in the 4×4 boxes on pallets So everything is faster and easier to unload and load each box at your yard . It makes selling your scrap some much easier and faster and don't need 15 guys on the payroll at the scrap yard
Hey Dave great vidio once again and good amount of $ but driving like 5 trucks and maybe 6 guys up an extra 100 miles is it worth it in long run? Let alone the labor your guys spent stripping at your yard.
Maybe you didn’t notice this or maybe it isn’t something that’s considered to make enough of a difference to be worth doing. What I’ve seen is any recyclable metals (aluminum, brass, copper, bronze, stainless steel, titanium, steel (I-beams, metal studs-framing steel, steel ductwork, steel doors/ door jambs, anything made of that kind of steel) can be handled so that anyone doing the actual processing can do it so the material takes up less space, is easier to handle & possibly have to do less to it as far as your processing of the materials & might make it easier to handle at the recycling facility. As an example: materials like any grade or type of rain gutters (aluminum, copper, etc.) can be cut &/ or bent into a size that makes more room for your processing of the materials by increasing the amount of the material that can fit into a space stood on end (in a dumpster, trailer, box truck, large pallet size boxes). Cut or bend guttering & door jambs to a size that works for both your employees & the recycling facilities employees & their equipment. Another way to reduce the amount of space the material takes up is to either run a piece of heavy equipment over it or if you have a press or machine the material can be run through to make it flat. Part of the “process” would be to find out what material dimensions are the most convenient for your employees & the recycling facilities employees. I know it may not seem like much in terms of the space but when you know what dimensions to cut/ bend/ crush materials down to, then your processing is complete. Just like I’ve heard you say it in the past that it doesn’t make sense to do things in a way that isn’t necessary or isn’t for anyone’s benefit. That’s a very impressive haul of material. It may get to the point that you’ll need an armored car service to accompany you to the recycling facility & then to your bank. You also got a hefty haul from the facility in how much they paid you for the material recycled. It’s great to see how you’ve developed & expanded your recycling processing. Great job, content, video & thanks for taking the time to capture your work & “the happenings” connected to your business.
It's interesting to say what you're saying, because my guys did it.Naturally, they did more, they have more volume and less area. And I appreciate your comments, and thank you for the insight.
i think it's worth the extra travel last place was screwing you on grades of copper and if they did not want you filming what do they have to hide. I like this guy he comes out says yeah thats good i don't mind filming as he knows if you as a larger business have a grate experience your viewers see that as well and those that od this local might want to go to him. He is honest and seems fair when i was scrapping that was a big deal to me
decent prices my aluminum is .50 you’d copper was higher as far as the radiators i cut them close so the iron falls right off then the copper ends come right off.. # 2 copper lol ❤
@@removeitprosdemolition call around. Estimate what you have. Tell them you have higher offers if the prices seem too low. And keep everything sorted well like you have. If you don’t know how much you have tell them two truck loads/ trailer loads etc depending on how much you have
Why don't you take your cores to the core Guy and get more than a scrap yard would give you I use to scrap myself and I was told that the people that go to the auto parts store said that your best bet. Just letting you know that
You have quanity so you should really be negotiating a better price... I've always got a better price than the guys that bring in a small amount because I did it like you are doing it.. and that few cents more can really add up quick. That being said... there prices suck anyway
Any scrap yard that does not want you to film you guys doing your job must be hiding something they must be dirty they must be taking catalytic converters that people stole and they're taking them to me like that you got to walk away and go somewhere else because they just lost your business

You said so many nice things, thanks for the comment and all the encouragement!!
Love the scale guy. Very good at his job and more than willing to give advice! Well worth the 100 mile drive.
These guys enjoy us we enjoy them!! It helps they pay better too!!
@removeitprosdemolition the site mgr looks like he really loves his job. Definitely worth the extra drive to take your business to them.
This scrap yard is great. I came in and they helped with additional knowledge that increased what they were paying me. Solid company for sure!
That is awesome! Glad to hear you had a good experience.
Great video and payday. Put the border line copper pipe on a wire wheel to clean the tarnish and make it #1 copper. Thanks for the video.
I will have to try that, thanks!

Yes these prices are more realistic I'm sure he got an increase yet those prices they are talking are really low
Love these scrapyard videos. It would be interesting seeing how the yards eventually remove the covering off of the insulated copper wire and how they process the compressors.
I am going to ask next time we are there!!
we use old IBC for the scrap saves a lot of time and work when unloading forklift going all the work
We need more space at our shop to get better organized. The shop space where we are is wildly expensive. We have out grown our current location for several years now.
@@removeitprosdemolition that one reason we use them has you can stack them up we go 4 high in the yard and 2 on the truck and trailer
Dave you have a great crew and enough equipment , why not start your own scrap metal yard. Think of the additional revenue t it can generate.
That's a thought.I just need more space
Everyone got fooled though price was down about same as last time thanks Dave enjoy the trip
I was sure it was less than $15,000 they packed the cans very well! They were so full!!

I’m glad you like the variety. It keeps me on my toes.
Dave if you get a lot of the compressor you could use a plasma cutter to get the copper but then you have to deal with the oil inside as well
Good Idea!
Wow. That looked a lot more efficient. Hope you made money
It was a good day!! Slow time of the year for us!
Been waiting finally got to it thanks Dave
Less crews this time of year but been very busy. Makes for less time to process scrap. Bernard has been out. Pulled his back.
Amazing haul
It was a good day!

The new yard we are going to is working.
My yard the guy's this chill makes for an awesome relationship.
This yard is good to us. We really appreciate the lake of stress!!
I like good surprises especially when it comes to cash! Nice haul
Like Christmas Morning Everyday!
I love these videos. So interesting ❤

Its a good idea, we use it as fill in work I have the boxes but not place to keep them I would also have to take 5 trucks in instead of 2
Try E and H scrap in Orlando. Ask for Jeff. 😊
That's another 2 hours one way!
At 12.30 when you talk about picking out dirty wire. In future please bring a snips that way in a second you have the plugs off. Saving you time
Good point!
Excellent!
Super!
Many thanks!
Thanks for the comment!!

If it was a primary focus maybe no. This is one of 6 profit centers we have inside our business. We use it to keep the guys busy in slower times.
I hope you bought lunch. Great video, these are my favorite videos.
Thanks for watching. Lunch was on me.

Big price drop since last trip i say nine thousand and fifty dollars thanks Dave
Our highest this year was $33,000.00 if my memory serves me right! Good haul we thought it was going to be $15,000 or so.
Made 120grand last month in scrap in Australia
Wow that's a lot of scrap! Holy cow how did you do that?
i think it's worth the extra travel last place was screwing you on grades of copper and if they did not want you filming what do they have to hide. These guys are a class act and its good for all of us!!
When does this time line catch up to speed?
Help me understand what you mean is the timing off on the video?
decent prices my aluminum is .50 you’d copper was higher as far as the radiators i cut them close so the iron falls right off then the copper ends come right off.. # 2 copper lol ❤
I will mention that to Bernard!
it seems like this guy treats you and guys with more respect then that other place you have gone
For sure wonder if the deal he is giving us it good enough?
Ouch! Last time I went was maybe 2 months ago I got 2.85 for numb.1 and I get a 1.40 for #2 wire
Where at?
@removeitprosdemolition go to 2 different yards for those prices in orlando
Christmas bonus for all ! 🎅
Everybody got a bonus this year!!
The complaint with the copper the blue and green stuff on it it's just natural when you get an old copper when water and copper metal corrodes
This company does not care about the tarnish / bluing
That copper looks like it had a hard life.dull and burnt.😂
Rough life buy the sea I guess?
Cut holes bottom of cans so you can grab them
The price in the copper compared to illinois or Indiana almost a $.60 to $.80 difference.
More or less?
@ more
14,725.00 is my guess
Higher!!
Give your employees a bonus...
How do you know that I didn't?
As I watch the video longer I think they have $25000 worth lots of copper
In Miami bare bright 365 a pound
Where at in Miami?
Compressors are an oily mess with the risk of it being aluminum wound after you cut it open, but they can have a good deal of copper. It's a toss up.
Sounds like you have experience!
Bare bright is £6'50 in England
How much would that be in dollars?
Great haul but i would negotiate a better price with the amount of stuff u have
How do I do that?
@removeitprosdemolition u should get more money than a guy who only has a small amount plus u have everything organized and bring help to unload
15 grand
Double that!
My second guess is 38.375
No1copper $2.85 in England its£5'60
How much it that in dollars?
@removeitprosdemolition not to sure about $8
For the dump trailer why didn't you just drive across the semi scale and dump it instead of having a hand unload
Multiple different types of material.
I'll guess $28500
Ouch 1.35 for no1 ins. I’m getting 2.05$ Nashville . Gotta negotiate better my friend. You should be getting dealer rates
Hell I’m getting $1.40 for computer wire which they mix in with no2
How do I get the prices to get them to give me?
@@removeitprosdemolition call around. Estimate what you have. Tell them you have higher offers if the prices seem too low. And keep everything sorted well like you have. If you don’t know how much you have tell them two truck loads/ trailer loads etc depending on how much you have
you got ripped on copper i get $5.67 here
Where are you?

Which cores are who is the core guy?
Smokw them wtf he on about only copper and oil in them
😇👍
$37000
Not that far off!
@removeitprosdemolition your guess I think you had more then that in the copper wire
I say 10.000
$10,000 or 10.00? LOL
I’ll pay you 1.60 a pound for all your romex also
Are you close by?
And they do this every 25 years...
Not sure what you are you talking about?
Copper prices are bull shit why so low
🙃
£3000
😎👍
Hay Dave..I’ll pay you 1.60 a pound for your #1 wire all day every day
Where are you?
Ima guess 48.399 over all Total this comment is 35 minutes into the video
This scrap yard doesnt know what they are doing
Why do you say that?
Drive on scale waist of time throwing in bin
