I used the Aomway C V1’s for a year. Great step up form box goggles, now I use the Fatshark HDO’s. Great step up form the Aomways.
What goggle in your opinion fits on someone like me with a large head? I have a pair of commander v1's and they work ok. But I can't see the edge of my screen running in 16/9.
The issue isn't so much fitting around my head so much as eye spacing.
Weather should we concern about the “speedybee DVR-VTX”that would couse more latency because of the DVR feature in it or not?I think many people would willing to know that not so sure.
Where is the Best? Where is the ev200d?

What antena do you have for it?
@@MultiEski I am using the lumeneir long range AXII and the bandicoot linear patch antennas. I only using one module at this time. 🤓

@@bradkay2710 they are what is reported in the reviews. Very good video quality. Quality build. 4:3 or 16:9 video. With 2 diversity receivers that work well. The biggest downside is the slow interface. Takes about 10 seconds to initialize the dvr. Once initialized starting and stopping is quick. And the auto frequency scanner is so slow. I never use it. It's comfortable for me. A great value. Just took time to get here from Banggood. Hope that helps. 🤓

Ive had the V2s foe a while now and the one major problem i have with them is the fit. I had to shorten the straps and push the ipd adjusters all the way in, and even at that i have edge bluring. If this could be fixed they would be fantastic goggles.
Skyzone 02 here. Sometimes I even use my DJI goggles race edition. I get good results from both.
How are the HDO with a 16:9 camera? I have several cams 16:9 and hear these are only 4:3

Love my Aomways V2..I adjust from 16 9 and 4 3 depends on the cam..the signal range is always perfect even when I push it ..plus I saved cash..
Still rocking my Aomway v1s 16:9 with the standard receivers still go any where my mates can with any module you name 🤙let me know when fatshark make a 16:9 HDO 🤙

Great comparison. I still haven’t found a goggle that’s just right lol. But I don’t have a ton of cash to get a new one every time. I’ve been using the attitude V4’s the last year and I do like them. But there’s little issues that I don’t like. The ipd adjustment needs to be just a hair bigger and the screens are kinda small at 32deg. I do like THe HDO’s but definitely don’t have the cash to drop on them. Oh btw I just saw your email to me from March 8. I just replied and forwarded over the old emails. Thanks for any help with the esc issue.
Run 16:9 cameras by preference. Wish Fatshark would come out with a 16:9 HDO.
Currently fly Aomway commander v1's and have been for over a year. v1's didn't have the v2 price premium.
I find very little issue with them. I don't use the balance plug as they can take 2S, 3S or 4S voltage directly (wired own connector). Have 2 x 3S 2200mah batteries and that lasts a full day being on almost constantly.
I have read a lot about OLED and Burn in..which happens the most under bright conditions and static images(OSD)..which is the conditions we fly under.. Test ran at 5 hours per day showed burn in as little as 4 weeks..Now thats using the OLED a lot more than we do.. That translates to 1 or so years this problem can occur. Anybody have any other info to debunk me ??
I like my v2's i did have reception issues with the stock antennas upgraded them works perfect in my opinion but then again ive never used fatshark

Same! I love my sky02. Amazing reception and really good looking screens. I may end up doing the fan mod if they start fogging up. But from what I’ve heard from several people, they don’t have fogging issues.
@@damntheman3185 it depends on how tight the seal is on your face, whether you use the diopters, and what the outside temperature is compared to your face. For me, they fogged up only when I used the diopters and it was cold outside. It was enough to want me to add a fan though, and I did. I also drilled a couple of holes near the diopters for air to get in. My mod completely keeps the goggles from fogging up now.

Any idea if Fat Shark will be releasing a new model for 2019? I’m about to upgrade from AOMWAY V1s (which have worked great for me for about a year) and I don’t want to drop that kind of money and then they release some great new version and I’m aced out.
My friend has the Aomway V1 and man i Love them!!!! He up graded 2 fatshark hdo i think? With rapid fire!! He loves them!!!!! Im just lucky i won some DomV3 because if not i would still be stuck with box goggles!
A month ago I upgraded from commands v1 to hdos and rapidfire. Im more than happy and wish i did it way sooner. I dont buy into the hype but they are for real good both picture and signal quality.
I’m totally confident they’re way better. I just don’t want to drop $600 on goggles & receiver, and then FS comes out with some new hottness a month later and then I feel like shit for not knowing to wait a month. Ya know? I’d feel cheated every time I put on the goggles. Seems like good business to release a new model every year or so, which means I should wait, but I don’t want to go all summer with my V1s either.

I do know in this hobby you never know when the next big thing will drop. Fatshark is about the safest buy, if you look at their previous model's they are still leading the market hd3, hd2, dom v3. For the cost they dont ever drop really. I believe hd3 were $399 when they came out and still are. I think if they put out a new pair this year they will be hdos with bigger screens like 42 instead of the 37 they are now. The cost of hdo will stay at $499 and there new ones will be $599 +. I cant see there being a mind blowing goggle that is completely different from what we have now coming anytime soon. Fatsharks have looked the same from the beginning now they have better screens. This is just my opinion and what i found before i made this big purchase about a month ago.

Have the V2's and am very satisfied. Number of points: Never had any technical issue with them at all, so that's either lucky or good. On price: yes, the Core was about the same price - but, that's not counting modules and antennas, meaning you have to realistically add another $100, making it an entirely different price range. Would I prefer HDO's with good modules? Yes, but then we're talking not far from twice the price.
I know some people have issues with the optics, but honestly, any high FOV googles are sensitive to this. Personally I get a better image from the Aomways than from FS HD3/Core, but ideally you'd want to try them.
Looking at the entire package, the only somewhat fair comparison is the core, but that's still a package price of 25% more. That $100+ extra gives you flexibility with modules, better support and better resale value. If you value those things and have the money to spend, go ahead. But, I find it hard to find a competitor to the Aomways at the same package price (especially now when you can often get them at a slashed price) with the same features.
Finally, about modules and flexibility, it's not like it's impossible to replace the receiver in the Aomways, it's not even very difficult if your somewhat skilled in electronics and are decent at soldering. I've done it successfully as an experiment and it works perfectly, currently designing a 3D printed partial case to be able to house a module.
Im still rocking my 2 year old skyzone v2+ and very happy, however if they break I would go for the HDO .

I've been flyin' for three years now. First year I just LOS'ed till I built my own video receiving station in an old motorcycle helmet. It worked. Typical experience that any box goggle user would have. About a year and a half ago I bought a set of EV100's and have been flying with those ever since. But very quickly I started thinking that the binocular style of goggle was where it was at and I got it in my head that I wanted a set of FatShark HD3's. I put my American Stratocaster in the consignment shop where it has been waiting for a buyer for over a year now. When it sells I will put my orders in. My question is... If EV100's fit and work well for me, will the FatSharks fit the same shape face? Also, I have a prescription of -1.75. The smallest diopter is -2. Will I require diopters or will it be to much? Damm...I ended up dumpin' allotta "whats-its" on ya. sorry. Anyway, If any of your followers have any input on these questions I will appreciate it greatly.
you'll see a big difference even if you upgrade to attitudes. i had ev100, anything is an upgrade, even the cheaper vr007 pro box goggle was better than that. ev was pushing my nose quite a bit, fatsharks don't.
There is a company in Germany that makes custom diopter correctors for FatSharks. And as prescription lenses go, they were pretty reasonably priced (less than $75, if memory serves). They’re glass, not those cheap plastic correctors that somebody gets an outrageous $20 for. You know, when you think about it, our Vision is the most important part of FPV. It’s the while reason we do this. Our goggles should be the *last* thing we “make do with”. Just my humble opinion. YMMV Peace

My mates new fat shark was not good with the haze & bottom has a Fuzzy line at the very bottom hmmmmm I'm having my doubts now

I'm hoping the orqa fpv goggles are going to be better than the HDO. I'm using the hd2 right now with trueD 3.8. I'm wanting to upgrade the module to rapid fire or trueD X but don't want to mod the goggles since the new modules require extra voltage. Also don't want to loose the larger field of view that the hd2 has
Just a heads up on rapidfire on HD2s. I just found that using a regulated fatshark battery cable with my HD2s and a 3s or 4s battery, I do not get the low voltage warning and it works. It doesn't work with a regular 2s battery. I might put something out on this soon.
Stick with the HD2s...they are king of the goggles
@@XZLR8N - I love them too, been flying with them for about a year. Thanks for the tip on using a 3s or 4s pack with a regulator to get RapicFire working without the mod/headtracker bay junk. Please do put our a video on it, that would be appreciated bro!
I was hoping on some more info on the EV200D. That is more entry goggle. HDO is double the price.

I love how people criticise the Aomway V1 for being 16:9 and not 4:3. They forget to mention with aspect ratio is switchable to 4:3.
Yep definitely my favourite i am blind in one eye and have average vision in my other and for some reason without diapoters, i see pretty dam good out of the commanders
Aomway commander V2 is my first pair of goggles.. they seem amazingly me but I don’t have much to compare it to..
Use To have Aomway. Work perfectly. Now I have the HDO with rapidfire module. Night @ Day! Will make you better.
Definitely buying a pair of nice goggles this summer, but I’m waiting to see what Orqa produces, their prototype looked promising, but will it come to market, and will it be priced decently, time will tell. If so, that could put a serious dent in the FS monopoly on goggles. On the other hand, FS knows Orqa is coming to market soon, so will they protect that market share with a new pair of FS with an on-off switch and everything else they haven’t replaced in the last 6 models, and price them at an incredible deal? Dream on perhaps, we will see!
Love my ev200d. I really think they are under rated
What goggles have the widest ipd? I have hd2, modified them as safely as I could and still not wide enough
EV200d claims 72 which is pretty accurate as my eye doctor says I am a 71. I still have just a hair extra on both sides.

@@nickbrown3868 , That's a tough one. Not sure of any goggles that go wider than 72mm. The new ORQA goggles supposedly go up to 74mm, but they are going to be expensive.

What about flysight Falcon goggles. They can take a Rapidfire without modifying. The screens and optics are the same as the FS DomV3. Best thing price $270 shipped to the US. I got a set and with the Rapidfire receiver. They cost me $420. Best deal on a set of goggles available.

Skyzones are way better than ev200 and aomway v2 but the faceplate makes them impossible to wear at least for me

Drone Mesh I believe you are talking about the 1st edition of the sk03. The sky02 didn’t have that problem they fixed the sk03 v2 to fit the European nose better.
I have the sky03 and with two minutes of Putting some cheap soft black foam with Double sided sticky tape they are totally fine. I Love them!!!

It is the best goggle for the money hands down it makes no sense to buy the aomway.. This video was supposed to a aomway review. I'll have an update video with more detail with the addition of skyzones as well.

I love my skyzone sky03. They don't fit any of my friends' noses, but they fit me perfectly. Fatsharks don't fit my face, they're too narrow

Skyzone V2 are the best all around
The thing that puts me off the HDO is the fact thats it OLED. From what I understand OLED expires and massively degrades the picture after awhile rducing the value of the thing

Fit is definitely subjective and Aomways win big time here for me personally, but FatShark's design is objectively stupid and outdated. That microSD slot placement, having to handle two cables when swapping batteries, not having an option for over-the-head bands, smallest IPD range in the industry... There's probably more but I only used HDOs for 2 days. Borrowed them + RapidFire from a friend to see if it's worth the upgrade from my Commander V1. Even if they fit my face perfectly I wouldn't want to pay that kind of money for a product on which they haven't bothered to fix the annoying issues for years. RapidFire is nice in some situations though and I'd love to hack it into my Aomways but you never did the second part of that video :P

@@scootroter4859 the key is to not fly near all the blurry stuff...I just wish the FOV was as big and clear as the Transformers. The YUUGE FOV really helps with the immersion.
Check out ORQA fpv one goggles they where at ces 2019 show. It is a possible fatshark killer.
Flyingmashines already lists them, expected price range: 800,-$ to 850,- $

I am highly, HIGHLY disappointed in my Fatshark HDOs. The FOV is horrible, the screens are tiny and the user interface sucks. People just love Fatshark the same way people like the name brand of anything. They are fad followers and just want to look cool.
