Lol sometimes it is all in the production that can make the sound shine more than in other songs from other albums. He also played drums on several of the Dio era Black Sabbath albums, also played on the Starz benift song. He is the younger brother of the legend Carmine Appice best known for his work with Vanilla Fudge; Cactus; the power trio Beck, Bogert & Appice; Rod Stewart; King Kobra; and Blue Murder.

Great song and great reaction! RJD was just so good. Other great performances by him are Long Live Rock 'n' Roll and Kill The King when he was with Rainbow. Also, Neon Knights and Country Girl from his Sabbath days. And a song from very early on in 1974 is Love Is All, it's a bit more 'poppy' and slightly psychedelic rather than heavy rock but Dio is great as you would expect. It was from a concept album by Roger Glover from Deep Purple called The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast Ball based on a children's poem. It had a great cartoon promo where a singing frog is wandering around playing the guitar 🎸🐸😀 It was minor hit at the time.

I normally have the volume level set to 50% on my PC, except for music reactions, when I put on the headphones and turn it up to 100% (Marshall don't do PCs, so there's no 110% setting), but I have to be careful to wait until the song actually starts before I turn it up, and then must remember to turn it down again as soon as it ends, because when Father says "POLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THURSDAY!!!" it kinda phase shifts all my ear wax into a parallel dimension!!! The drummer's name, Vinny Appice, is Italian. It's pronounced "a_pea_chay" in Italian, but in American... who knows? I'm not a fan of Dio's vocals, but there's some great instrumentation going on here, as you said. Love the enthusiasm of the reaction, as always.
