I don't think anybody is saying PC is "too difficult", what they ARE saying is that PC is not as CONVENIENT.. Which is absolutely true. I say this AS a PC and Console gamer. If you're willing to put in the time, you can create a superior Experience on PC. If you don't care, don't want to Tinker or diagnose the occasional issue, console just works better, which is why it's my preferred platform.

      How good is your PC?
Because it's hard for me to believe that someone who has the option to play at 240fps will prefer to play at 30 Fps because it takes 15 seconds less to start his multiple hours long gaming sessions

I agree 💯. There are issues that require PC knowledge for any age. A blue screen, for instance... Is it the heat sink, memory, driver, motherboard, bios, incompatible software, fans, clocking issue, etc..? People like to play dumb. The installation process is better than the old days, but that's separate from knowing what to do when things go wrong.

@@Panacea_archive when's the last time you played a console, 96? Every game I play runs 120 fps in performance mode on Series X, and if not, runs 60, there's not a single game I play that's 30 as a current gen game right now

    • @ragingtyga

@@Panacea_archive as far start times... There is NO game on PC that will boot and start as quickly anything you run on a current gen console, that's a fact, simply because you have A) the Desktop B) The Executable, and C) the launcher that's necessary to launch and run underneath the game. That isn't the case with Xbox. Even on the steamdeck, if the game is having to run the Proton translation layer, it has to uncompile the. Exe file first then run. A xbox game just runs. Then there Quick resume... 😂😂😂 You might only be a PC gamer. Ad far as my PC specs, I run a Ryzen 9 and Radeon 6800, more than enough to run anything I want at High settings with consistent 90fps or better

Pc is almost streamlined there is still too many issues and I think valve needs to get more involved to push publishers to fix games. Example my dad on thursday wanted to play elden ring. Everytime he started up it would start at 4k resolution and he plays at 1440p. It makes it impossible to press alt enter to make window and change settings. So I have to troubleshoot his computer come to find out nvidia was the problem. They pushed dsr on his computer and forced 4k resolution out of the box. The new nvidia app refused to allow us to change the resolution in the app because it's still beta. It sucks honestly and so I had to go to %appdata% to find his ini file to fix it. Nvidia is a problem and so is the pushing of features that cause problems. Another game I want to use as example is manhunt 1. On pc you can buy and install it. You can't get past the 1 mission without a mod. It's unacceptable to sell products like this and I think valve needs to step in to force publisher to fix their games. Keep up to the modern standards of current os system. They have a grace period to fix it before it's removed from the store. This incentive keeps games fixed and running while also allowing them to keep earning passive income from games. Pc gaming has so many issues and sure it's more streamline. There are people I know asking me why they don't have controller support for games. You have to walk them through the steam input enable settings through the game to work with any controller. It has a lot of work to make it stupid easy like consoles. We have made a huge jump in last 5 to 10 years. We still have more and even the steam deck isn't perfect. It's one of the focusing points of showing how easy it can be.

I’d say the other neg and correct me if I’m wrong but you can’t turn on your pc by just turning on a co troller to my knowledge. IMO it’s a small negative but for other depending where their system would be it could be a decently sized annoyance.

Funny thing too, I’m using the same case hosting my Ryzen 9700X, ASUS ROG Strix B650E-I board, and XFX Merc 7900XTX. Why? Because it’s one of the few mini-ITX cases that can house my massively long 340mm GPU.

Eww, innovation - gross. All these crutch programming languages, interpreters, scripts, frameworks, game engines, operating systems, memory management tools are all creating excess bloat that assembly code would never dream of.
In tech, we all know that solutions have always been problems and nothing more. Look at what we have today versus 50 years ago. Pure trash, the harder the code - the better for us end users.
