I love SOAD but you can clearly tell that Serj just doesn't feel it anymore, it's not even about his age. But respect to him for putting aside his differences and helping out his life long friends in getting back on their feet and having a good pay check.
They’re donating all the proceeds from their shows. Not sure that narrative checks out. Also it was the first show back and maybe a bit off. Saw them in Oakland Monday and he seemed very into it. I agree though that he doesn’t seem that way here
He was tested positive for covid today, probaly wasn't feeling well on this day.
His whole solo career is rebellious, I wouldn't say he's tired of "it" he's just tired and/or sick

Guys Serj was diagnosed with covid right after this. I'm sure that's the reason he seems out of it. It's honestly a really great performance. I've seen him look much more annoyed. Or back in the day when him and daron used to try to sing louder than each other. Seems like they are actually getting along quite well and having fun
Everyone being into the show except Serj shouldn't bother us as much as it does. Who knows what's really going on in the guys head? Just because you are the front man for a Legendary Band doesn't mean he should be dying to come out and sing these great songs again. Whatever he is going through I am thankful he came out to do this for us again. I appreciate it SOAD 🤘

Man I wish they would slow Aerials down by like 25% to the original tempo. It loses so much emotion at this insanely fast tempo!
I noticed that they speed their tempo up live. Wish they didn't do that
They do that to shorten the time they’re up playing
Most bands play faster tempo live. Especially heavier music. They push and pull because of crowd energy and general mood. Most studio versions of songs are slowed down to make it more "palatable."
@@OGthecritic Not really. They played for over an hour and forty minutes, that's not a short set. There's just some songs that bands/artists end up enjoying playing a little faster or slower as time goes by. If anything it helps allows them to fit another short song in set.
This tempo change is not ergrious by any means.

People talking about Serj being bored. It’s been some time since they last performed. This was their first show back. I feel like he is still finding his confidence. You know what people do when they are feeling insecure? They put their hands in their pockets. Unfortunately the tour has to be put on hold as Serj caught covid.
He’s also just had major back surgery so props for him for even doing shows right now

I get people were upset Serj lacked energy but he still put on a better show than anyone of us could ever dream of doing, he’s probably still feeling the fatigue of covid, or maybe he just wasn’t in the groove that night, it’s impossible to be perfect and full of energy all the time, and maybe this night he was just tired. I wouldn’t say he doesn’t care about SOAD anymore because if that were the case he wouldn’t be there performing in the first place, plus years of performing high energy shows takes a toll on your body, and at his age I doubt he wants to risk his physical health for the sake of one show

Was there. 3rd tile seeing them. This time with my wife. First time seeing them was in 06 at the Hard Rock Las Vegas when Hypnotize was a new song being promoted before the Hypnotize album came out. My brother and myself all time favorite band.

I was at this show last night and it was so sick!
No one worth seeing ever came to Fresno when I was growing up there in the 80s & 90s. We always had to drive either to LA or the Bay Area to see good bands.

They all went off stage separately and didn't even really acknowledge each other at the end. That says something to me
They're doing it for the paycheck. It's just a business arrangement for them at this point. Everyone is at odds with each other over bent egos and years old artistic differences. Kinda cringy watching serj half asleep and the rest of the band on lifesupport.
Lol.. Reminds me of Pink Floyd at Live 8 after their set. Waters and Serj have a bit in common.
Follow any of them on social media and you’ll realize the truth of the situation. Serj is the outlier. John and Shavo are SUPER Conservative and very close, Daron seems to be on even ground with everyone and just wants to jam. He gets along with everyone but seems to be a bit too “big-time” to really be close to any of them. And Serj is so far into his self-righteous mindset that he just doesn’t relate to the rest of the band, and they don’t relate to him. Plus politically, Serj is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum as John and Shavo, so right away they’re going to clash. It seems Daron leans a little more toward John and Shavo as I’ve seen him share some pages supporting 2A rights. The 4 of them are all just different people, and they’re rich and successful enough now to not have to put their differences aside anymore.

@@ScottXC91 That's more insight about them personally than I've ever known. The only other thing that I can think of is that John and Serj are brother in laws. Their wives are sisters. I'm wondering if the two shows in February may be the end of System. Serj hinted that touring is not something he's interested in soon enough.

Daron singing more is why I stopped listening to them as much as i did and I was listening to them back in like 98-99’. Serge has always sounded fine, Daron has just always wanted more facetime and fame
It's crazy how much better Serj.sounds singing after touring for what's almost the years now? He used to sing so nasally, and it's still there but it's not nearly as prominent as it used to be.
God... 20 years went so fast, I was a teenager, and look at them now, they are still looking good, a bit older, most importantly still the same style...

I surprised my bf with tix to see this band on this particular show in Vegas. I didn't go in with many expectations, and truly I was there to see Korn. I'm not a fan of SOAD, i'm not going to lie though, they sound so good live and put on a hell of a show. Needless to say, my upper back and neck are still hurting today. Haven't banged my head so hard in a while. Can't wait to see them again.

I saw them earlier this week and Serj was dancing the whole time, engaging with the crowd, bringing ridiculous amounts of energy, not to mention throwing in some incredible vocal pieces. Daron was getting creative on the guitar and screaming his heart out. John was smashing the kit like it was the last one on earth and Shavo looked happy as Ryan Martinie bouncing around the stage having fun with the crowd, looking the exact same as 20 years ago (those two don't age). It was one of the greatest concerts I've been to in my lifetime.
Whatever difference they had ...put that shit aside. Soad made terrific music, told the world what was going on and still going on.
One of the greatest bands of my time! So original ! They have created a sound that if borrowed, would be straight up stealing.
