That’s a good weight capacity. I always get nervous when I’m benching over 1,000lbs on a cheap bench.
Me too so I curl over 1,000 on my cheap benches but I will not bench on them
Flybird have a helium balloon attachment for barbells which allows all their benches to handle 1000lbs.

I have a Skip Sport adjustable bench that I bought used off some old guy. I think it's fairly old, but it's so stable and great. I can only find a prisjakt page with no links to any store pages, even outdated ones. Mine has text on the pad, which the one on the page does not.

I find it interesting i found almost no one review the one that i purchased! Its the flybird adjustable bench with the red single stripe on the bench and the red adjustable rod or whatever you call that part.
Its the first one ive ever had and i absolutely love it 💛 i can even do dragon flags on them so i know they can handle a lot without me being paranoid of it breaking on me. Idk why there's so many different ones though. I only bought this one i think for 80 something bucks!

Thanks for another honest review! These always seem tempting. Especially in this economy, where I decide to make sacrifices. So far my focus has been on bar, Rack, and weight quality. Lately, I find myself wanting to upgrade my Amazon basics flat bench. Believe it or not, that budget bench has taken me further than I hoped it could :)

Nice review you two! I can definitely see this bench for people who WFH and do some light db work at their lunch break. But anyone who is pushing heavy weight should save up and get a REP, IMO. Hopefully when people Google Flybird Benches the SEO pushes this to the top!
I would hope for that too but we haven't had much lucky lately with those might Algos. Ah well, maybe someday. It's got a place for some people but I agree, at some point you'd probably have to upgrade.

Always have to watch a Gluck video 2-3 times to make sure I didn't miss anything; I enjoy them all. And just when I thought you had answered every question on benches, you cover a (huge) niche market for these popular items.
The AB-4100 checked all the boxes for me, and I couldn't be happier. Although I'm happy with my two DB sets, I just had to go exploring and shopping only to find the usual result: a piece of equipment might be otherwise perfect, only to discover the one flaw the company overlooked ruined the whole gd thing! Meanwhile I'm out another $1,000 and I'm cursing myself for being so stupid, stupid, stupid!

I got the midgrade bench on sale for like 110-120$. I like it so far and I'm under 6 foot it doesn't feel too small feels like a good size and very sturdy. I don't plan to use it for more than 400+ pounds or anything so.

great reviews sir! I only want a foldable weight bench for a small room for a guy that is 69 years old that is 5'9" and shrinking with basic and easy stow-away. Any recommendations?

The round offset foot rubbers is an interesting concept. While with more expensive benches you would not want round feet due to the concentration of force potentially flattening out the foot. Higher end manufacturers could still make their square foot rubbers with different thicknesses for all four sides so you can have a bit of adjustment on more expensive benches.
Most tend to just have rubber that can somewhat work for uneven surfaces. I neglected showing off the feet of the Flybird Pro model which have an interesting foot adjustment system.
The original adjustable version was what I almost pulled the trigger on when we were starting our gym!

I still have my fb149 as a back up, but upgraded to the ab-5200 because the pad hight was too tall and it slipped really bad on stall mats.
Yeah you sacrifice some things at that price but maybe they'll make a few small adjustments down the road.

I've been getting great results with thee flybird. Paid 99$ so can't complain. (Foldable one popular version padding isn't as comfortable. Hes correct on describing it.)

I bought the FB149, got it today, and my conclusion is as follows : the one I received has the frame of the FB299 (based on footrest with a pin and shape of the bench when it folds) but the seat and backrest of the FB149, I guess they're either upgrading the FB149 or swapping parts based on what's available... Anyone else has experienced this?

You should review the Prime adjustable bench. There are very little reviews outside of coops and it's a similar price range to rep and rogues better benches
I've had a few requests for that and others. Hard to keep up atm, we're not full time and companies are kicking out stuff fast.

Hey, so enjoy your channel. Great content. So riddle me this, Gluckman. You directed me to those triangle dumbbells I asked you about. Told you they were like 800 bucks for a pair and I passed. I then found Kabuki, from whom I got my beloved Kadillac bar, selling a variant of those just not adjustable weight. Great. I place a 10 pound pair in my cart. $189. A bit steep for 10 pound dumbbells but ok. Shipping to NY. SIXTY F’in dollars. Are they wacko? $45 flat fee to ship a 125 pound bench from rogue, free shipping from titan. OMG. I demand you and Winnie fix it. Lol. Thanks for letting me rant, buddy.
Kabuki has some prices that can be very high. They make some interesting pieces but wooo the cost at times.

Is it worth to choose a bench that has leg extension/curl attachment? Or are this leg extension attachments usually crap?
At the extreme budget range I'd say no but at higher budgets there's some decent ones. It's also my... unofficial stance that Rep will be adding something like this to at least one of their benches.

I get very nervous when I see those thin steel support rods. They start bending when I just look at them long enough. I did consider it when I was first building my home gym…that was until I found REP.
Yeah especially vs something like a Rep (or even their Pro model) you can really see the difference in build.
The 149 is mostly the same bench as the ADVENOR Weight Bench which is even cheaper.

Definition of a budget bench is probably a very good way to put it.
Ive been thinking about adding one of these because of their price point.
Hard to argue with the price and the truth is not everyone needs all this over built stuff I seem to have surrounded myself with.
@@GlucksGym I’m only lifting a small percentage due to my age and abilities. Just have to save up my money. I started working out in a spare room in 2020 and have some dumb Bells and used bike and reformer from Facebook marketplace. It just takes time. :)

They're solid and a pretty popular choice for adjustables. Very durable but a little awkward with their shape.
Flybird obviously make time machines as well. Ask them if you can review a couple.

I have done a ton of DIY and building and designing is one of my passions. Lately building the gym has taken up all my time and that includes physically actually building the space which I hope to finish tomorrow!
