From the lands of ironstone to china clay....... Great video! A few years ago I took my parents to St. Austell to visit the Eden Project. The old clay spoil heaps (the "Alps") give the area a unique character.
St Blazey is where my family originated before moving up to Northamptonshire in 1971. Grandad Barter was a specialised welder in the wagon repairs. Grandad saw that Wellingborough was an immense railway town and settle hear. I was born here in Wellingborough but I have a Blazey boys heart. Thanks for commenting
😮 so many HSTs - I don't follow what's happening much and I didn't realise they were still working down there, I just assumed it would be 150s. Just love, simple, classy, block colour liveries like this - GWR and the old GNER’s navy blue with red stripe are the only modern liveries I like. Before that - BR blue and everything before. All the others just look like corporate advertising to me. You've got some great railway heritage in yer blood Purple! and what a lovely place - would be interested to know your ancester's story. Love the Hitachi's too - beautiful sleek (and very quiet) machines. Hopefully another classic in the making. Hope you all had a lovely time!
The HST's are still used on the "Castle Services" which are run between Cardiff and Penzance. Reduced coaches with no buffet sadly. They stop at all the stations which feels weird.
Hi purple x Leanne x Tommy👋the TWAIIIINS x buses look so much more streamlined down there🚅🚃🚃🚃 but it doesn't look👀like they have invented electric yet🙄🤣🤣🤣
