  • To save a journey to the post office, I want to help my postman out, and the delivery van drivers when I have ordered something online and have a package on its way to me.

Just a note for you Richard...move your bay tree to the back garden as the leaves will be contaminated by car fumes...that's if you intend to use any fresh or dried leaves from the tree in the future!

Very interesting video as usual Richard. I'm particularly interested in the whole foods plant based meals, and agree that a coconut based curry is yummy! Not sure if it will be the same for you but when I started eating more plant based, non processed foods I had so much more energy and felt much better.Your videos are nostalgic and bring it home to me that modern society not only buys too much we put too much emphasis on material things..maybe that would be a good topic for one of your next lives if not already done! Sorry for the essay as usual.🤣🤣

That's a very good idea for the post Richard. Just to let you know if you don't already? My Mrs informs me that you need to boil kidney beans for about 25 minutes before consumption otherwise they are toxic. Tinned kidney beans are fine but raw untreated ones can be dangerous apparently. Just to make you aware.

Aah - Richard 'Right Thinking' about plant based whole foods. I've noticed that while they taste great when plain cooked .. rotating your chefdom through 'Indian', Chinese, & 'Mediteranian' etc. styled spices and herbs adds a zest that replaces the meaty flavors while keeping the foods low fat and non-dairy. - Well done Cobber.

Hi Richard. You could burn the words "Post" or "Parcels", or whatever you decide, on the wooden lid (Pyrography). I've done a little bit of that on wooden cooking utensils, writing a few words on them. Though you would need to buy a pyrography pen, but they're not that expensive. Just an idea. Love where your going with diet. On that path myself. Thanks for the vid. Love from Galicia.

Great idea of threading a string through the bay leaves in order to hang them up for drying. I use bay leaves when making Bigos, a Polish sauerkraut-based casserole type dish translated as ‘hunters stew’, involving generous portions of dried polish sausages and other pork meats. You should try cooking and simmering one on your Esse.
BTW, good use of the old sock, Richard. I did notice that you had a crafty sniff at 10:54!

Hi. I am a postie. You postman might have been concerned about damaging the book as it fell on the floor. I theory we shouldn't leave parcels in a box that is not lockable. At our office, we have been told, in the past, that we shouldn't open a porch door. We are responsible until you are in possession, or it is behind a locked door. When the Iceland ash cloud was happening, one of our guys put a parcel in a bin and pushed a note through the door. In the time that the owners were stuck abroad, it was bin day and a neighbour put the bins out to be emptied. Parcel was lost. A certain well known online company demanded that he be sacked, which he was. Extremely unlikely scenario, admittedly, but if items go missing in these circumstances we are approached by a manager. So it really is up to the postman if he uses the box. Nice thought though.
