Hi, your video is very informative video. I have the same turntable refuses to spin up after depressing 33 or 45. Can I have your expertise suggestion for troubleshooting this gem?

Unfortunately not effectively using comments in TH-cam. Check out audiokarma or vinylengine, join either forum and start a thread...more eyes to help you get it sorted out.

You should try the simple things first, Clean the speed adjust potentiometer and the tape head that senses the speed before even thinking about removing boards etc,

I’m always leery on adjusting that tape head, but you’re recommendations are good ones before diving in too deep.

I'm sure I cannot hear the difference anymore. It's all about how distracted I am while listening...

I have a Denon DP 55K that spins backwards on start up. any suggestion where to start looking for the cause?

Could be any number of things...out of spec cap, bad IC chip, bad transistor, burned resistor, broken trace, out of 'alignment'...etc. I would start by trying to adjust it per the service manual. Assuming you cannot (very likely) then it's a matter of ID'ing the bad component and replacing it (pending on availability). Unfortunately it's typically not an easy fix.

thanks, I've got caps and transistors to replace, hope it's not IC chip, can't find one
